    Back in stock on bike-discount.

Unfortunately I got impatient and spent an extra few Euros from a different website.

Refreshing STW till a thread like this comes along.
And watching DHL to see if my pikes from germany have got any closer.

I made a paper airplane earlier.

FSA orbit MX. Will leave you change from £20 and they are great. I split the crown race on mine and it’s fine.

    Polar m400
    Bluetooth connectivity for your phone.
Normal USB connection so no docks. Completely waterproof.
    Dedicated cycling mode.
    I’m really impressed with mine.

The Olympus one is good. Was about £200. Friend had the Panasonic Lumix one which does have more features. But pictures are of similar quality.

We went to a little place called Lengries. And further along the same train line is Bad Tolz where there is also an amazing sledge run.

It’s often done like that these days IME.

Definitely ask for the feedback tho. No harm in doing that.

If you’re getting xt. Might as well get slx and save the money. Or if you want more power get zee.

Hibike is roughly the same price but also out of stock.
Definitely worth the wait. New frame not due until the 20th anyway.
    What you putting them on?

Those are the ones I’m after too. Out of stock till 18th on Bike-discount. But definitely a bargain!

I shall be getting some when the ones I want are back in stock. Bike-components is another one that’s quite cheap. But not as much hype as bike-discount so a bit wary.

I’ve used bike-discount before and they were great.

    Anyone used bike-components?

Try it out for the free month. I did. Decided it was a pointless extra that doesn’t add much functionality.

I had a hope wheel that had extremely low tension right from the box. It felt terrible till I re tensioned it after noticing a couple of loose spokes.

Did you steal the last of the 150mm 650b ones from bike-discount?

No idea about the dietary fussies. But the Asha curry place in Llanrwst is amazing.

Take the BB out and spray IPA or meths down there. Then clean with a rag on a stick. Repeat till clean.

Removing the BB prevents all the mungdungus sitting at the bottom and you can clean it all out.

I keep my seatposts as clean as possible as otherwise the grease holds the dirt. Reverbs have a smear of anti seize near the clamp as they don’t get constantly moved.

    As above.

They are temporary fixed points used when surveying.

Its nice, except for the crazy slack seat angle. Any reason for it?

Bugger, they are out of stock in the enduro jersey I wanted. Got one already and been waiting for a sale to come up to get another one, they’re fantastic!

The BCD is different on a specific model. Its produced alongside the 104bcd so a 30t can be run. Basically if the middle ing is 30t its the smaller BCD.

    Superstars again

Cant really see past them even when looking at more expensive pedals. You can even buy these… CLICK if you don’t want them to say Superstar on them.

    Edit: As above!

£5 voucher on CRC makes them just under £65 and a choice of lengths in retail packaging.

Has anyone ever had retail packed Shimano stuff from Ribble? Not moaning at Ribble as they are great. Just curious.

The mattoc was on my list too. Looks great and I like manitou stuff. The pike and 350 are about £100 cheaper tho.

The dvo diamond is due out soon too. Rrp about 800 butnim sure won’t have much discount available. Will look at the formula. Never heard of that one.

Not keen on the mrp. Looks a bit ‘prototype’

*adds thread to forum activity list*

I’m looking at the same 3 (2) forks in 650b guise.

Currently leaning pike as I know rock shox internals and as there’s so many about easy to get/find help with them.

Stick with the “general use” tyres for North Wales. Even in the depth of winter its the tyre compound you want to look for rather than the tyre tread as its never that muddy, just wet.

Trail king, high roller, that sort of thing.

The ardent will probably be okay as long as its a softer compound. It doesn’t need to grip into loam or mud, just went rocks at Penmachno and CYB. Dyfi forest is a tad muddier! Take both!

We’ve just been out. Didn’t bother with a guiding company. Just used Strava and the internet to work out the routes. Amazing biking and awesome weather. Considering how much of a MTB mecca it’s becoming; we saw hardly any other bikers. Just some rude Irish lads and some mega fast Spanish guys.

No help with the hotel tho i’m afraid!

Have you tried the ‘chain round both big rings without going through the rear mech. Make it tight and add 2 links? That’s always worked for me whatever the set up.

How are they different to one of those plunger style caffetieres? Genuine question.

Enjoy the stove top. But interested to see how this compares.
