Never cycled in SE Asia but travelled a lot in Asia and Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam… Loved them all great people and sites…
Did Cambodia ankor wat on a moped, roads ok but drivers are terrible.
I don’t really like Thailand anymore because the others are so much more fun.
    Enjoy

If this is his attempt at beating jay z glasto set he’s sadly mistaken.
I’m sure he doesn’t give 2 ***** huge set fee and just him and one pal on stage…

Terrible… Huge staff turn over, poorly paid that could give 2 **** about your car.
Find a local VW specialist. After you get a price give a few VW main dealers a call clutches are one of those items that main dealers “sometimes” try to match independents to get the work. It’s worth the call anyway.

I’ve got a 2013 zesty with spicy shuttle so 160mm each end.
Tf tuned pike up front and debonair plus at the rear…
If I’m honest I preferred the feel of the monarch plus. The debonair is a very different beast. Run both ends at 30% sag and feels bullet proof…
I’ve got a works comp head set to take it down to 65 degrees head angle.
I’ve never felt it’s been out of its depth.

Tore mine at the gym 10 years ago did nothing about it and tried to train round it… Gave up training/gym after 5 years of 3+ days a week because of it.
It was painful for 12+ months and not right for years… Even 2 years later attempting to lift/pull heavyweights caused pain and uneven strength.
Regards bike it’s ok because strength involved is less.
But to be honest any more that a long DH day or multiple trail days and I’m back on naproxen to kill the shoulder pain and tennis elbow pain.
If there is another option other that leave it I would look into it.

Petrol 1.6 16v check for headgastet leaks from front corner near cam belt v common.
2.0 hdi good strong engine early ones have issues with turbo copy sensors. Can be repaired but pain and need to be set up perfectly.

Quite a common fault, cooling fan resistors on the front panel in front of the radiator corrode badly and cause all kinds of of fan faults.
If you remove them 1 or 2 depending on A/C or not
They have the 0ams resistance on them.
So easy to check/test if faulty and about £15 each to replace.

In Spain now just finished a days riding with switchbacks, I’m using an absolute black 34t and my climbing was def better and felt less tired.
Feels weird for 20 mins but I really like it.
Even though it’s narrow/wide it’s doesn’t hold the chain as well as my works components round 34 does/did

Jedi, did you try banging the tank?

    chrisdiesel

If it has a lift pump it need to attaine 4.5 bar… Don’t think they do hills that big!!!

    Sorry pressed enter too soon.
The fuel pressure needs to be a required pressure for the Ecu to fire the injectors so it must be attaining that pressure for even a short amount of time. And all else must be good or it would nt run for the 5 seconds.
There is a common fault with a 3 wire yellow connector that goes to the fuel pressure sensor. High resistance causes similar faults corrosion on the pins, cut out or clean and replace.

This sounds stupid but stick with me…
Bang the fuel tank from under the car/van
    Few good hits with a hammer/wheel brace/big stick…
    Try starting it?
If it starts then it’s the low pressure pump in the tank like ^ suspected common on 2.0 hdi
I did one on Friday!!! Dealer price is £160 for the pump and gauge(one unit)
Some don’t have low pressure pumps but it’s worth a try!!!

Gold digger: just got home from a very wet CDB so was hard to judge but better small bump and general feel. Rebound much slower now (TF advice) felt great on big stuff but I do like the feel of 2 tokens to keep me high in the travel so may go back to 2.
TF did explain that pikes have lots of friction and the low friction bushes and push seals will improve after a few rides.
Generally very happy but wet rocks and roots today didn’t feel like a place to mess about with settings and pressure etc.
Sorry if that contradicts but knackered.

Gold digger: my pikes were due a service and wasn’t completely happy with the feel. I’ve tried different pressures and o/1/2 tokens… Had a good chat with tech from TF. I was thinking about the FAST upgrade but after I explained I never use anything but open setting he said there wasn’t much point and recommended push seals/shim stack change and some other low friction bush… And he recommended 1+1/2 token… So he cut one in half.
Refitted today and a new -1+1/2 degree works headset so I’ll see how it rides tomorrow…

Got my pikes back yesterday from TF. I was Kept informed of repair and tracking etc… The thing that impressed me was twice when I called to ask advice on upgrade and seals. The tech gave a good 5 mins of advice and recommendations.
It was that reason I chose to send my forks to them.
I emailed another repairer over a week ago with a few questions about a service and I’m still waiting for a reply.

    Unable to feel any difference…

I was 34 regular and went 34/30 oval, really rate it, dropped 2 links off the chain

I think if it’s bothering you that much change it.
I’ve gone carbon bar. But it’s an Easton havoc DH 800mm bar so hopefully it will stand up to my weak level of abuse.

Loop a small cable tie to the other cables loosely to give you a movable guide for the dropper cable to run through.

I’ve got an absolute black oval narrow/wide 30/34 on a full sus (lapierre zesty)
After the first few hours of “feeling weird” I really like it, genuine improvement on low speed/technical climbing.
    And no noticeable bob.

My pal has just got one. Great bike amazing valve. I’m thinking about ordering one so I’ve pestered every owner I’ve seen on one. The only think I’ve heard a few times is go a size up because they are quite short in the TT
One guy was 6 foot ish on a medium and wasn’t enjoying it.
My pal is 5.10 ish and has a large and it fits perfect. I’m about the same height and wouldn’t consider any smaller than large.

I’ve got a debonair plus shox, I spoke to sram about the v high pressures.
And that even on big drops I wasn’t using full travel. They advised to run more sag. So at 35% it’s now using all the travel on 3+ foot drops and feels fantastic and very plush

My pal got an alloy Capra last week he’s 5.10 and I persuaded him to order a large he loves it and I would definitely not even consider a smaller size if I order one. I’m about the same height.

Chemical metal an old Allen key in if it’s completely circular or if it has a slight chance “tap” a torq socket in with a hammer the shock/dig a bit better helps sometimes.

Depending on year: duel mass flywheel/clutch does the same squeak happen when starting turning off the engine?
What’s the last 8 of the vin no. I’ll check if it has duel mass.
Clutch bearing is also very common because people have a habit of resting there foot on the clutch causing bearing damage.

The new shape discpatch won’t have any of the turbo oil feed issues earlier ones had.
I drove my company discpatch all weekend 400+ miles. If your doing big m/way miles 2.0L 6 speed is the one to go for if your not a big speed freak the 1.6 HDI is fine

Don’t see why not but I did ask and as told no.
This may change as I had one of the first super 2r MIPS so maybe start sell separate when stock issue better

I’ve always used kmc x10 SL gold too.
I fancy the DLC ones just because you can get them in black and get away from “bling” gold but keep the quality
£50 is a big ask for a chain though.

Got one… Not sure of it’s just a bit too big. It’s fantasix value for money and well made but I really want something smaller and will carry a full face and 2L of water

I’m 5.10/11 and normal build and ride 800mm havoc bars and stem on my trail bike, any less feels weird now
