Mike from switchbacks in Spain is kinda sponsored by pole, he said he’s now using the 29er for DH in malaga and loves it,but mike could ride a Tesco’s shopping bike faster down trails than most. in the looks department it’s a 2007@ specialized enduro but uglier. Met the owner in bubion a few years ago v good rider but a bit of a arse. Whenever I mention other slack head angle bikes that predated his bikes and bikes with similar Suspention linkages he sulked as if he was the first person to think of a sub 64 degree trail bikes.

I’ve had one for months, are you sure it’s just not fully sat on to the hub?
Is the hub used and has knotchy marks stopping it going all the way on?

£100000 violin, was stolen from Dutch artist performing in Manchester, contacted owner from info in case the guy asked me to keep it at home and not drop it to the police station, he flew over the next morning, I collected him from the airport and took the guy and his friend into Manchester and dropped him off to site see. He rang me on my way home to say he had left €1000 in the back for my help, I’ve got an open invite to stay at his hotel in The Hague if I’m ever over there too.

The citroen c3 is getting the cactus look, comes out. Next month I think, pics on google
They are a good car, great eco and comfortable seats. Looks are a personal thing as is the iPad type control panel but most manufacturers are going that way now.

Pas group use both for euro 6 vehicles, eloys is very old and no longer used but a new generation of fuel additives are injected into the fuel tank when the fuel tank is mixed to aid diesel particle filter regeneration, urea/add blue is injected into the exhaust again to further lower/improve emissions, useage is based on driving style and type of driving I.e m/way or urban. It’s mostly water that’s why is cheap in the future it will probably go to a solid block that’s heated to extract the urea.
Most manufacturers if not all will be using urea by now for Euro 6/7 cars, but there is not much more we can do to clean up diesel emissions, diesel injection is at crazy high pressures to atomise the fuel, the EGR valves cause issues, most euro 6 diesels will have a urea filter in the exhaust, then a pre particle filter then a particle filter and use additives injected into the fuel pre burn and into the exhaust post burn.
And use complex engine software to control it all.
Small diesels will be gone in a few years with just big lux stuff left purely due to production costs.

Llamberis is ride with a little bit of bush until the last section after the train tunnel, then it’s a push till the cafe, I did it on Monday, going as fast as I dare to go on the rangers I went over bars with a full face on and was obviously fine,my pal face planted with a normal lid on and ended up with a cut nose and a fat lip, I’d defo full face if I did it again.

Did snowdon on Monday, 2h easy ride push up, coffee at the cafe at the top, then rangers path down. Loved the first bit still in view of the cafe, and the really tech switchbacks after that, but after that it was a disappointment and a probably wouldn’t bother again unless the other routes are hugely better???

Thanks for all the replys, I’ll call the importer tomorrow.
But I cannot still get my head round having zero issues for over 12 months and I still have the old shaft that’s perfect.
Nothing else has changed on my frame. Why has the new part worn in a dozen rides?

Planning to e mail TF tuned tomorrow, cleaned my bike yesterday and noticed the black upgrade CCDB air, shaft is starting to wear think at once area, no scratches or damage and I’m paranoid about cleaning and lubricating so it’s not abuse, just no longer jet black now a lighter grey, anyone else had very very premature wear issues?

Friend had one, I think it was a diesel auto, horrendous MPG and had engine problems that needed a new engine, that he had fitted and sold on.
He used it daily so mpg mattered more than if only used for holidays.

I hadn’t been for the last 10 year until 3 weeks ago, now I’ve done it 3x in the last month, love the new sections, and the old rocky bits are good if ridden v fast, always worth pushing up the last decent to do it again. Really enjoy the place and will defo be back in a few weeks.

Easy way to confirm if it’s a bad earth issue, borrow a jump star lead, when it fails to start Connect ONE end of one of the leads to the battery earth and the other end to the gearbox casing or engine casing, in effect making a new earth pathway, if it now starts if a bad earth!!!
Don’t let this fault continue, because when your trying to start it and the earth is poor it will attempt to find an earth through all kinds of things I.e dash panels/wiper motors and eventually damage them
    Good luck

+1 for try Thai, good food and service, I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food but when ever I’ve been taken “to the best place” by Chinese friends it’s always been run down looking, angry staff and poor translated menu and most things seemed to include pigs intestines and treats like that. If you want amazing Thai my fav in Manchester is thaikhun a short walk away in spinning fields.

Yep that’s the right spec, they really are a great thing, be careful of ex motablility, some are very well cared for but most don’t care/abuse and potter about and short cold stop start trips to the shops are not good for any modern Diesel engine nor the particle filter. That’s a late model (euro 5/6) emmisions so no oil/turbo issues that the earlier ones had.
But regular correct oil changes once a year will keep them going forever. Service book/dealer is 20000m oil changes, I just feel that’s a bit much.
Lots of them out there so don’t settle for anything less that perfect.
Any questions my e mail is in my history.

I work for citroen/Peugeot. If funds permit go for the higher spec with nice trim and A/c and the 90BHP 1.6HDI obviously service history is very import pref main dealer but if your buying older/higher miles cheaper stuff e mail me and I’ll talk you through loads of engine stuff to check. But everyone that has one says the same thing, ugly but tons of room and very practical and reliable.

At a small garage with vat @£800 dealer over a grand last one I did at work was £1400, if you have time try e bay and I bet you it will fetch way more than someone local will offer you.

I buy stuff like that all the time, but as someone said due to age and relativity low repaired value it’s not worth a great deal, e bay is your best bet I buy stuff off there every now and then but get out bid by crazy amount for cars I don’t see any profit left when repaired,
To give you an idea, to fix your car, would cost me in parts 16 valves/gaskets/seals/service bits/belt/water pump £250/300 and the book labour time is 10ish hours.
So that’s why its value is near scrap.
But as I said e bay is the best bet. Are you anywhere near Manchester?

Glad you got home ok, without boring you to death, if funds permit change the oil after the leak is done, all the Unburned fuel caused by poor/low compression that’s exhausted from the cylinder is partly recycled, and the oil system takes the vapor and causes “issues”
That’s the basis of the much discussed 1.6HDI turbo issue.
As I said 2.0hdi is a strong old engine but no engine can live off polluted oil.

2.0 HDI isn’t common for injectors leaking, first things first attempt or ask a garage to attempt to retorq the injector down usually this will do the job, not a perm fix but would get you home. Defo worth a try, this will also work if it’s a 1.6 but very different repair.

I’ve got a bell super 2r, great lid
With MIPS, the MIPS moving bit broke and bell said crash replacement only ( same as chain reaction price )
Wouldn’t bother if I ordered another.

Sorry pressed send, very different job depending on engine and the main issue is how long they have been leaking for, I’ve seen some leak so bad for so long the injectors are no longer visible and hidden under a coke/Carbon crust, if it’s the 1.6 HDI you need to do other stuff before your turbo dies!!

I’ve been for the past 4 years and after trying loads of combinations, I’ve settled on hans dampf front and rock razor rear
I was there last month (very hot and dry) and it was great in the powdery conditions and v fast rolling.
Obviously you have to crank the rock razor over a bit to find the grip.
Last years at least 10 out of 15 riders had RR on the rear

As I said I had the black air shaft done whist it was at TF being serviced, purely because it looked Cool, but you cannot compare the rockshox debonair to the cane creek!!!
I’ve had the monarch and 2 debonair plus shoxs
Non have felt even half as good as the cane creek, I was a fox fan for years and had tuned/kashima/boost valve/low friction bushings and it wasn’t near as good!!!
