I managed to offend some guy who is on the committee there or something last week by opening my big mouth and telling him how little I thought of the place and how much better it could have been!!! As above huge respect to the builders but I always think the first red climb at the top would be a great rocky descent and the descent at the top is just a roller Coaster and berms.
The only bits I like are the three biggish rock drops and the link from lee to cragg is fun but last sat was my 3rd time since it opened and won’t be rushing back!!!

Don’t think the amount of damage you have is any issue, I took much bigger chunks of impact damage out of the back end of my old zesty with out any issues. I would take this opertunity to put a hope bb in after going through FSA ones in three months it’s nice to have over 6 months and counting hassle free!!!

I’ve had the issue loads, if there is no sign of accident damage I.e huge ding in the wheel rim from a pot hole or curb then no cost to customer warranty for parts and labour.

The turbo will fail again, it’s an oil pressure issue. The oil pressure drops off when hot and starve the replacement turbo. It’s been discussed on here several times or google DV6 oil pressure issues. Basically engine is great but small amount of oil 3.5L , 20000 miles service intervals , incorrect oil used , not topping up between services I.e owner/driver expects to never have to open the bonnet / and tech when servicing not getting the engine fully hot before changing the oil. All lead to a blocked gauze in the sump and blockage in oil gallery’s and turbo feed pipes. I’ve just bought and repaired a van that was sold because the 2nd turbo lasted 500miles and fixed it. Ford/Peugeot/citroen/Volvo/Mazda in most cases replace the engine. But with care and effort it can be cleaned/rebuilt to restore the oil pressure.

You can get a cheap FSA on online about £30 of hope has just started to make a press fit one for lapierre.
That’s the way I’ve gone and no issues so far, went through 3 shimano/FSA ones through 2 winters they seam to let water in a lot and I did have a pre 2012 zesty that didn’t have a hole in the BB to let the water out

I am a tester but to be honest I’m a one a month to keep my licence rather than a constant every day know every rule kinda deal, I know no 2 is perfectly acceptable and suspect no 1 is a pass too.
My sure some proper tester will be along soon

Sorry, film of oil inside air mass unit is normal, corrosion around the thing that looks like a Match inside it and on the silver squire plate inside are the things to look for.

Morning, not looked at the tuning box web site but my feeling is “cheap” chip boxes that mainly just re route the fuel fail pressure and tell the Ecu it’s lower than it actually is are a very poor way of increasing power, and generally cause smoking/over fuelling and seen one blown engine, proper remapping is different again but expensive and without being rude it’s not a sports car.
Let me have a look today at the known issues and the type of system on the car.

Hi, try driving the car with the air flow metre disconnected, the idea being if the air flow metre is disconnected the Ecu will revert to internal mapping for air and fueling. Also depending on age there is a vacuum control throttle valve on the rear of the engine that can stick on light throttle or low rpm.
I’ll have a think or any other issues.
What’s the last 8 of the vin no?

Really enjoyed my holiday with switchbacks all uplift with enought riding between mountains to feel like you had done some trail riding but without the monster climbs like other company’s do. Seen a few guys from ciclo Montania they were loving the riding just said it was lots of climbs to get to the trails every day so was happy with my choice.
Re booking for next year soon

I’ve got a 414 and really like it, demo ed loads but kept going back to the zesty and after snapping a 2011 zesty I actually wanted a alloy bike so the 414 was my choice.
Cannot comment on the 29/EI Suspention but I guess there is a huge price difference between both bikes?
Ether way I don’t think you will be disappointed.

If you have deep pockets and want probably the best views in bkk and the arguably the worlds coolest bar google the dome bar / scirocco restaurant it’s in the Lebua hotel.
If your not impressed you must be dead inside.

As above stayed my first ever night in buddy lodge, small and not cheap by ko San standards but nice/clean/central others even better have been built near by since but for a long time buddy was the best place on ko San

Any where in bbk isn’t too bad a taxi ride to the airport EXCEPT if your flight is near rush hour then stay in the usual airport hotels, if you want a laugh and not in a standard chain hotel stay on the ko San road, it’s the back packer area but a few decent hotels have open in the last few years and just people watching every night is proper world class.
I used to spend months living near by and still passed through for a laugh regularly
    * not been there in 2 years so other may have better info and not lived there for 6 plus years *

Don’t know how good they are but I’ve just bought the decathlon winter mountain bike gloves class 7 , not cheap £28 but very well made very warm but with a great idea of a zip on the back of the hand to let air in if too warm.
Any tried them in the real world???

Ok guys I’m sorry I didn’t see all your points!!! BUT
I tried to help someone in a lot of pain as i would do for any of you.
And tried to stop “another” ambulance at degla at the weekend maybe AGAIN I’m missing the point but if a place/centre/shop/factory continues to require regular ambulance assistance then couldn’t the local council close the place due to the drain/cost to the local A/E???
I know stiniog try to call the ambulance as little as poss and encouraged an injured guy the last time I was there to get this mate to drive him to the local hospital.
Anyone know how to delete a thread???

My only advice is contact 2 pure their customer service/help is fantastic
    And they are nice guys
I’m possibly selling my iodine 3 wheels in iron/black 15mm/ Q/R if your interested in replacing???

I didn’t see the legal angle, but I’m really against ringing an ambulance for something that the guys mate could have taken him to his local A/E, regard his mate picking him up I’m sure no one is permitted access to the fire roads but staff and ambulances.
When ever I’ve seen the ambulance up there the guy in the black pick up always goes with them anyway.

Easiest way to reset the Bsi is to disconnect battery leave for 10 mins , reconnect again wait 5 mins for the Bsi to reset and immob to reset then try to start it.
I’ve worked for Peugeot/citroen for 20 years so when the rac has done his check , let me know and I’ll do my best to advise the cheapest route to repair it!!! Where about are you?

    chrisdiesel
    Free Member

From experience, as above check battery and then main engine earths ( gearbox area 13mm bolt and condition of wife)
But from your explanation it sounds like the Bsi ( body computer ) if the side lights are on then it’s 100% a Bsi fault or wiring to it. Not cheap or easy as it’s the storage point for every thing so you cannot fit or try a 2nd hand unit
Please update with the rac report and I’ll help more if I can

Long story short a pal, when to Thailand on holiday, met a girl fell in love, returned home sold house, returned to Thailand we cash to buy a home for him plus new mrs, she decides they should buy her mums home ( parents never actually move out the whole times he lived there) but the kicker was she insisted the house be put in her name.
So when the rest of the money ran out the whole family literally threw him and his stuff out and told him to go back to England. And he did and moved back to his mums house back to his childhood single bed.

I remember a few years ago speaking to someone at Bosch, something like 85% of returned oxygen sensors that where tested weren’t faulty, don’t forget a oxygen sensor fault is informing the Ecu there is something wrong with the cat function I.e a misfire can cause an Ecu to read a cat fault because the sensors are seen too much un burned oxygen.
Also cheap oxy sensors are notoriously bad and genuine ones can be up to £200+ for some engines

Basic e bay code readers will give you an idea of the fault or area of the fault but without something more expensive like a cracked version of autocom that you will need softwear and leads etc and a laptop to load it on, things could get very expensive very quick. And with out very regular use and hopefully without being rude unless you know what your looking at should be reading its pointless. So my best advice would be very cheap e bay scanner and if it’s code says coil pack and you try one and it cures it great but without checking the Ecu/coil/wiring/fuel/timing/compressions it really is a guess a slightly advanced one but still a guess.

I’ve got 2012 iodine 3 wheels after 12 months of hard use, uplift weekends / week in Spain and normal weekend riding, my rear wheel started making noises, (spokes rubbing together) I rang my LBS they said it’s no issue and was trued and retentioned for £15. Now perfect again, everyone slaggs off CB but my iodines have been fantastic.

I think the e bay KMC 10SL (gold) off e bay are a great chain and at £26 ( does take 10 days to arrive) is a great chain at cheap money
