LBS say sram/fisher warrenty is fantastic so should be turned around in a week. Not sure why but sram wanted to see the fault and asked LBS no to investigate. Strange as ^ Dave had his repaired with sram advice???

I’ve go RO great brakes, had R1s before not a huge difference but I am a bit of a formula fan boy so I cannot comment on the hopes. Never felt I need any more that the RO even on DH stuff

I have easton havoc bars and stem “35mm”
I bought them because I wanted to go 800mm on bars and 50mm on the stem, I like the set up but don’t think the “35” makes any difference at all.

Wasn’t there a tv program a few weeks ago about the scams the hire company’s pull in Spain, super duper insurance that you MUST but and something with fuel where they charge You and tell you to use it all then charge you again at double when you return it empty and show you in the Spanish small print that you were wrong!!!
    Proper dodgy

I’m on my second set, love them. Only changed my first set because my new frame was 142×12 and I had early non changeable 135 rear hubs, I’ve done many DH days at stiniog , week up lifts in Spain and have been known to land like a baby elephant. The only issue I’ve ever had is rear spokes came a bit loose and caused a weird squeak on heavy cornering/landings. LBS re torqued them and 6 months later they are still true.
Early I.e 2008 had issues sorted under warranty and mine are the iodine 3 with the better bearings. Very please with them.

I had a set on 150mm floats that did that, also the damping felt non existent.
Pulled the legs off and something had burst, both fluids had created a brown ish oil in the bottom of the legs, sent to mojo. Full service/rebuild got them back sold them and bought pikes.
    They really are that good!!!

No it’s not a common issue, nor is an oil leak onto the clutch, the dealer now has to send pictures or premature failures/oil leaks to warranty with vehicle ID in the picture, ask to be sent the pictures also, it is normal warranty procedure to warn a customer if Iike your dad there is a possibility when the box is removed and say the friction plate is worn to the rivets from resting your foot on the clutch or other customer led damage. Then no dealer/manufacturer would cover damage if customer induced. But ask to see the part for your self of if not local ask to be sent the e mailed pics. Hope it turns out to be an input shaft seal leaking and contaminated the clutch so it’s all covered for you!!!

I’ve had a few close calls when riding stiniog and when on a riding holiday in Spain, I think the new met parachute looks about what I’m after and chain reaction so In stock in April I think.
Don’t want to go full face but it’s still a lot cheaper that the dentist bill to fix smashed up teeth

I felt the same thing at first with my new pikes, don’t really notice it now but I could put up with a hell of a lot for the way the forks feel when descending. Amazing forks when you have them dialed in.

It’s very difficult, the main issue that need to be addressed after all the parts replaced is the small oil gallery’s ,if they have coke/carbon build up ( heart attack for a car engine) then it’s very difficult to clean properly I’ve tried and had success with welding rods/compressed air and when rebuilt x3 oil changes with good 5/30 full syth oil.
The “scrap” Berlingo has done 10k since I sold it with no issues.

Last one I bought with that engine had a tiny amount of carbon sticking the oil pressure valve , causing low oil pressure, that engine was ” scrap ” too!!! But as trail rat said it’s all caused by poor servicing early in life and 2 year 20k servicing doesn’t help!!! Everything now back to 12 month servicing.
The metal fragments are from the turbo bearings seizing.

In that part of Manchester it’s only a matter if time till someone gets a smack and their bike taken. I’m from a shitty part of Manchester so I’m not having a pop but even at smack head prices they can get £150 for a high end bike at very little risk of getting caught. Last time I parked at the velodrome 3 scallys kids on shit bikes where looking in the back of cars, and clocking all the bikes, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out where everyone is going to ride!!! Be careful!!!

I feel if you work earn your money. And don’t hurt or bother anyone else you should buy/spend your money on what ever you want!!! Love love to try one and if battery tech evolved to make them light and powerful enough I think they will be popular.

I had ringing in my ears for hours and had the plumber pissing him self at my attempts to ” tickle ” it with a 32 oz hammer. As above once cracked, easy but what a noise!!!
Mate had a really nice one on an old house he tried to sell, with the claw feet etc. everyone said I’ll give you £150 if you get it here. But no one would attempt to remove it due to weight. In the end it was smashed to bits and weighted in for scrap!!!

Be cafeful with cheap plug in boxes, most just have a resistor that tells the Ecu the fuel rail pressure is lower than it actually is so the Ecu increases the fuel rail pressure. So when the car is driven normally the air flow to fuel is wrong and causes smoking.

Stand corrected regard the battery’s just what I was told on the training course.maybe just a flippant comment by the trainer.
No I don’t drive one but work on them regularly. Yes the battery size/power could be better but it does it’s job I.e makes the top of the range fully loaded ds5 hybrid in the £10 a year tax bracket so company car drivers buy them.

The Peugeot / citroen hybrid system is 150bhp engine driving the front wheels and a 50 bhp electric motor powering a small gearbox to the rear wheels, in the boot is a battery case with 150 AA BATTERYS case with an Ecu charging and controller. It’s good for about 2/3 mins of driving before the engine kicks in to recharge it.
But it’s many an emissions benefit. Road tax is £10 per year

Don’t want to ruin anything for you but the low fiction fox seals made much more difference than kashima coating.
It looks good but a lot of money and I like you sold my old forks instead of upgrading and bought new forks with kashima coating (fox float 150 RLC) now sold and got the new pikes that are beyond amazing!!!

Pd is good but old and noisy compared to common rail systems that every uses now. Vag were late to the party on that one. Very reliable though.

If I’m right vag now use add blue and also have a dpf but under a different name.
The same as 2014 Peugeot/ citroens have
    Pre filter
    Particle filter
    Add blue filter
All required by all European cars to pass euro 6 emission regs
Add blue uses 10 litres every 12 months that is basically urea (piss)

    chrisdiesel

Pre 1997 to have no EGR no particle filter no duel mass flywheel!!!
And low pressure diesel injection. Old Peugeot/citroen 1.9 turbo diesel 92 bhp
Great engine BUT COMPARED to today’s engines it’s poor fuel eco , noisy , and will feel slow and a bit smoky.

A drink at cloud 23 bar in the hilton, the bar is nothing special apart from the views over Manchester from the 23 rd floor that are fantastic on a clear day.
A few miles outside city centre the war museum is great and very interesting and thought provoking.
