I had mine done (one leg) from next to my spuds to my ankle and some vein re routing Etc.
Should have done it years ago, ached when riding and always had back problems because I stood with my weight on one leg mainly to stop the ache and threw my back out.
4 weeks off work no major pain, riding after 3 weeks, leg now doesn’t look like a road map of the mountains of Scotland
If it’s causing you pain get them cut out.

Good luck, I’ve had problems with rubber queen UST leaking and conti UK didn’t want to know I’ve got a 2.4 runner queen apex that’s has gone so deformed it’s a joke and I will be sending it back but I’m not hopeful.
Next day tyres replaced my UST after a lot of moaning so credit to them.
I wish I didn’t like them so much and get another brand.

A friend kept on missing out on centre London houses by a few thousand in sealed bids ” best offers ” after missing 4/5 houses he asked the agent how can I get the next house! Agent said for 5k he will open all sealed bids tell him the highest and let him put his in 1k higher 30 mins later!!!
So he still had to out bid the highest bidder and pay 5k for the privilege!!!
Nice job if you can get it!!!

I’ve just converted to 34t front and one up 40t plus 16t rear on a medium xt clutch mech, really think I would struggle to get 42t to work, my b tentioner is fully in already, very impressed so far.

Love zestys, great bikes cracked a Carbon one now have an alloy one, stressing about rock strikes and cracks stopped me enjoying the ride, obviously alloy frames still crack but I’ve been thrashing my 2013 414 for 10 months and bar a ibis mojo hd or a yt Capra bring forced upon me for free!!! I don’t think I will change it for years to come

Irish Berlingo is the same (minor spec changes and will probably have rear wipers? Uk spec don’t have them)
Xtr is a later version unless it’s an abused ex taxi with no/dodgy service history then they are a great car/van
And the xtr is the one to have, change the oil when you get it with fully syth oil and enjoy.
I had one last week loved it.

Is it the the 8v or 16v? Both can do well above that mileage but would need a proper checking over.
    Head gasket
    Gearbox noises
Rear arm bearings ( rare fault but expensive )
Picasso isn’t a bad car at all there were in production for so long ( W plate was the first year ) that most common issues where sorted a long time ago!!!

As above said, wire from altanator (usually) goes to the starter then on to battery. But it’s a big thick wire so rare to break!!! But check the battery terminals, clean/tight and if easy have a look at the earth condition too

If you all think this DPF is a hassle now, 2015 will have a pre cat a huge DPF filter and an add blue filter that will use up to 1L PER 1000 miles. I was told 5 years ago diesel cars would be around in new car for by now but they keep on lowering emissions to make euro 6 laws but the future I really don’t know. Fuel injector pressures are up near 2000 bar now to atomise the fuel for cleaner burn, don’t know how much higher/cleaner it can get.

I’ve got 2013 and had 2012 with no issues great wheels, looked into buying 2014 but no more 26 only 27.5

Trail rat, yes a tiny amount of diesel is injected into the cylinders on exhaust stroke to raise the temp in the pre cat to aid cat re gen but only if normal driving regen cannot take place BUT that must be the worst idea to permit fuel to damage the oil/engine, PSA have softwear in all diesels so if the oil level rises the engine goes into limp home mode to prevent engine damage.
I also changed a ford puma Diesel engine for this fault because diesel was entering the oil.

Just spoke to pal that had one. His very loud shouting advice was to get rid before future problems softwear helps the constant DPF issues but designing an engine that let’s fuel leak into the oil is crazy, I cannot think turbos last long if not serviced very 5 mins!!!

Spoke to some one about Mazda Diesel engines apparently it’s correct that diesel leaks into the engine oil!!! Friends car was quoted £3000 by a mail dealer to service and replace the particle filter.
After 6 months use, Mazda bought the car back in the end.
By all accounts not a good engine.
Still struggling with letting diesel ruin the expensive engine oil??

Long shot but I’ve got a 142×12 converter to let you run a 135×10 rear wheel in a 142×12 frame
    It’s from a 2013 zesty

If the caps don’t come off, then it’s a QR rear axle only and cannot be converted. I had the same issue with my iodine 3 wheels, I ended up selling them and buying another set of 142×12
When 2 pure when cranks bros importers I did look into changing the rear axle and was quoted I think £150 if done by them. They wouldn’t sell me the axle. But I don’t think the new importers will do this for you as they still have very little stock.

2.0hdi is fantastic ( it’s what I’ve got ) but it’s old and not been available for years ( 2006 if memory serves me ) and compared to the DV6 it’s half the weight and the same power ( both 110 bhp if that’s the spec you have.
And the fuel system is much more advanced so the road tax is £30 per year in most bhp specs
The 16v petrol is good not great fuel Ecco on long trips but fine round town the 8v is old and terrible on fuel but cheap to buy and lasts for ever.

Tip from the factory technical department, if possible before you buy a DV6 remove the vac pump,(x2 bolts)
There is a gauze in the vac pump if it’s blocked solid with carbon and 5h1t its a good sign the servicing hasn’t been done correctly in the past and it’s turbo gauze is probably in the same condition.
As I’ve said from previous threads I’ve repaired/rebuilt horrific engine BUT if your buying at retail you don’t want to buy hassle.

As above said, 1.6 HDI (Dv6) is great but if it’s early life was abused it will poss kill the turbo but is rare at main dealer level now to see this!!! Obviously I don’t work I the “real world”!!!

All keyless entry / start stuff will warn you when the transponder is leaving the vehicle and if ignored will happily drive until you run out of fuel or try to turn it or where you will be asked to long press (3 seconds) to conferm you understand it won’t start again when switched off!!!

An mot computer slot costs very little it’s the labour and equipment your paying for, you can charge what you want but some places use very cheap mot £10 ish as a way of getting you through the door then failing on head light adjustment or something to bring the bill up.
In my 20 + years in the trade the worst people are the receptionists who call you up and because they are commission based, the testers advises become ” you need x4 tyres ” not the tyres are cracking but not showing cords and will pass but with an advise.

For most older diesels you can remove them and go back to a solid flywheel. Obviously slightly less refinement but in every one I’ve changed to solid I’ve never been able to tell!!!
Also the squeak on start up and switch off isn’t there.
