I work for peugeot/citroen so bias aware!!!
latest model 2014> Are good cars overall, spec is personal/financial choice but as a rule of thumb diesel ether 1.6 or 2.0 is the ones to go for manual or full auto and saying that because they do an EGS option. Basically a 6 speed manual with electro/hydraulic Ecu to change gear and press the clutch.
Better fuel eco than full auto but not a smooth/refined gear change. And can have problems at 100000 miles ish needing expensive repaires.
Watch out for Ex motab or ex hire cars, both for extremes of driving cause particle filter issues.
If funds permit, the new peugeot 5008 7 seater really is fantastic in both looks and driving.

Regards van they do a LWB version of a BERLINGO van, Basically it’s another 12 inch attached to the back end.
Quite rare but not uncommon ex fleet vans.
2.0HDI is gone unfortunately great engine but heavy and economically not that great.
DV6 Engine is great unless abused by an lazy fool.
Then Turbo issues, not the engines fault just a lack of oil changes (previous discussed on here many times)

New BERLINGO due late this early next year, and the dv6 1.6 is going to a dv5 1.5 but basically the same.
Still great vans with no huge issues.
Day to day life with a van vs an multi space is a bit noisier but a lot cheaper to buy.
My money would be on a late Berlingo multspace xtr.
Nice spec better drive and look less van Ish
And you can get 110bhp and 6 speed that makes m/way speeds a quieter and easier.

If you can find anything old and Japanese (not an import)
And probably petrol and manual of any brand has less chance to go wrong and cheaper to fix if does
And older but with lower milage.

I remember calling a customer with a citroen c crosser,
With a very rare DSG gearbox. Internal Fault that couldn’t be repaired.
Yes sir I did say that correctly it’s £11000 for a new gearbox including fitting!!!
He actually laughed and thought I was joking!!!

Second thoughts is the play in the green bolt linkage or the inner shock shuttle ?

    chrisdiesel

Ok I had both zesty and spicys and for 2013 the frames are the same just the length of the linkage that houses the bush you need and a change in shock length.
I’m sure I had to buy a new lingage because the bush wasn’t available. £40 from memory.

I’ve got the first version of the super 2r mips
I’ve used it in Spain in Summer and never really had a heat issue with it.
I’ve had a few side of head falls but not major impacts thankfully.
After a face first fall years ago I now never remove the chin part and have just got used to it.

Lappierre are horrible to deal with I had a 2011 zesty crack a carbon rear end in early 2012 and the they only had wrong coloured used ones to offer me.
    Grumpy but I excepted.
Turned up 2 weeks later cracked worse than mine.
After much arguing and legal threats I paid £200 for a replacement alloy zesty because the factory didn’t want me to have carbon again.
I love the look and ride of my zesty and spicy but wouldn’t go near another lapierre
Don’t bother to wait they will let you down

Ok late to this but, I’ve got a pair of 27.5/160mm pikes with a few scratches on the stantions and the damper has a bulge near the bottom of the rubber bellows bit.
Could these be used for a coil conversion or not???
Was planning to e bay as Spaire or repair but fancy try as coil if this is a possibility.

They are all telling you about the “genuine” fakes they have down stairs/up stairs or through the back door of a closed shop.
It’s the fake clothing capital of the north.
Makes me laugh when i drive through, you see more monclair jackets walking about that you do in Cheshire.
Trading standards make a token effort of taking away a bit ever few months but it seems to just get bigger.
It used to be just wholesale rag trade 20 years ago, Sunday 6am till 12 was crazy busy, now it’s people buying fake crap and attempting to re sell on e bay/Facebook Market place

Just bought x2 Polaris axial pods.
As Tracy kindly said, the Polaris was on sale for £150 plus £10 shipping. Reduce from £250 everywhere else.
Many thanks for all the input.

Chakapin: nothing really lacking from my lyrik, I’m kind of the opposite, I want to pull everything apart and mess and modify.
I’m 190lb in riding gear, I’ve tried it with and without one token.
The small bump is improved, and with zero tokens it will use its full travel and tracks very well. I’m still messing with rebound and air pressure. But definitely better than before, I think from what I’ve read the improvement is bigger on a pike because the lyrik already has a larger negative air section that a pike.

First proper ride today with the luftkappe fitted, (lyrik 160mm)
As said, small bump very good and felt very nice over general fast trail descents.
I was running 80 psi and 2 tokens, now zero tokens and 100psi, used all the travel on a 2/3 foot drop but didn’t feel and bottom out so may try 1 or half a token with a bit lower pressure. Feels very different that pre luftkappe but as I’ve never tried a coil fork I cannot say it feels like that but it’s certainly less divey if that’s an explanation.

    I’ve got a 2015 rune, if it’s a 2016 your buying then I think it’s slightly longer? I’ve got a large,
I’m 5.10 with a 50mm stem and 800 bars and it feels small size wise but a perfect fit, would definitely not consider a medium.
Amazing bike, first bike I’ve ever had that I have zero interest in looking at any other bikes!

I fitted my luftkappe on a brand new 160mm lyrik, I’ve not trail tested yet so no real world reports.
Because of the negative pressure, the initial friction is ridiculously low, as I said the bikes own weight take 2/3mm of travel

    chrisdiesel

So I emailed STEVE from vorsprung:
When I lifted the bike it extended fully but with just the weight of the bike it went 2/3mm into the travel.
    His response

2-3mm of variation in travel is pretty normal – it can actually allow sag under the weight of the bike alone, but if you lift the front wheel off the ground by the handlebars it should extend to full travel.

I’ve got a 2r, I bought it after a slowish speed crash and hit my face, I always thought I’d be quick enough to put my hands out!!!
Anyway bought one and I’ve used it every ride, never used it without the chin guard because I know the day I remove it will be the day I face plant again!!!
I’ve used it in Spain at 30 degree and all winter here, it’s light and comfy. Not as comfy as a normal lid but cheaper than new teeth.

Ok sorted the pressure in the lowers
Problem, did a quick 5min mess about on the bike, feels very different, 90 psi, zero tokens, 25% sag. Very low initial friction and feels supportive as it goes further into the travel.
will report back when I’ve ridden it properly.

Just fitted mine, simple enough to fit, managed to get a load of air trapped in the lower causing suck down tried cable tye still sucking down, ended up undoing the 2 5mm to release both the legs to vent the trapped air and then when full extended and no vacuum re torqued the 2 leg 5mm bolts,
As the vid said I’m running 10% ish higher with no tokens, was previously x2.
Does anyone know if I’ve done the correct thing to vent the negative air or is there a better easier way?

As I’ve mentioned if anyone wants the shaft clamp I bought (£5 donation to cancer research) and I’ll post it first thing Monday!!!

Mine was dispatch today too, my new lyrik is an improvement over the pike I had before but liked the idea behind this and hope it keeps up with the amazing ccbd air.
Anyone need the 10mm shaft clamp after I’ve done mine?

If you google it, Evans etc sell what is/looks like 2 washers for £14 I’m just not sure if it’s correct, it’s not the end of the world fitting the wheel but if there is a converter I may as well take advantage.

Hora if you see any in any peugeot/citroen group dealer I’ll get it delivered here and I can have 3 cars per year on friends and family so would be good percentage off. Obviously not as much discount as you would like. But still better than nothing.

I recon you should do amazing things you always wanted to do with your friends and family and take some tiny amount of consolation in the fact you have a bit of time that many people never get.
    Sorry for your terrible situation.

Never heard of motor oil going off, but some gear box oil and power steering fluids have use by dates usually 2-3 years from manufacturing, don’t know why?
