Really enjoying the men’s DH. It’s won/lost in the short wooded section. Commentary good too.

I think a pump would work. Had one in previous house, the noise does travel along whatever it’s mounted to even with rubber mats, but it’s only whilst the shower is being used.
An unvented system like a megaflo would be better and deliver pressureized water to all showers but a lot more expensive.

My experience of self heating electric showers with low water pressure isnt good…standing in a cold room whilst hot water trickles out Of the shower

    Love my Bosch Rotak
The 4ah battery lasts 45mins to an hour usually, I’ve a spare on charge so I don’t have to wait to recharge, just swap them over

So much easier than working around an extension lead in an odd shaped garden

It’s been listed a long while, perhaps the seller has imported a bunch of them, I don’t know

For me, the compelling reason for not buying it is that I dont know how to disguise the package when it arrives..more bike stuff :-(

N+1 is not just for the bike industry though, any retail industry needs a constant supply of customers buying goods…millions are spent on convincing you to part with the cash. Resistance is futile.

I had that with an alu rim. There was a metal seem in the rim that i hadnet got tape on all the way round. The air was passing through that seem and out of the hole.
I bought some slightly wider tape to cover the seem and it was fine

Just been to measure up…this is a 2013 model
The lowest height in the boot is 90cm which is in the centre just inside the tailgate
The boot opening is narrowest at the top where its 80cm wide, increasing to 100cm in the middle

With back seats down (it splits in a 2/1 so the the seat behind the driver can be folded separately and the centre and left hand seat fold together) you have about 170cm depth

I’ve put my MTB in with seats down and front wheel still attached and bars turned so the wheel faces upwards if you see what I mean…but only when its clean! usually i’ll take the front wheel off and the extra space just makes it easy to load up

Sounds like you handled it well and did all that was possible.
Agree with howsyourdad1, make sure you are ok too, that’s a tough situation to be in

Very happy with my 2013 CRV
Feels solid, interior stands up to kids and dog but still looks fairly classy – it’s a nice place to be
Nothing has gone wrong with it
Bikes can fit inside easily – but hard to get them on the roof like with all tall cars.

I’ve a 1.6 diesel, and its way quicker and also way more frugal than my smaller 1.6 petrol ford focus

I see no reason not to buy another when I eventually need to change it.its the only car I’ve owned that I’ve said that about.

    I’ve a dainese trailknit pro.
I haven’t had any other to compare it to.
The shoulder pads are nice and airy, the back gets warm (possibly they all do). I’ve had it about 6 months and there are a few loose stitches appearing where I’ve removed the back protector for washing which isnt very impressive.

If buying again I’d get a vest with a zip, as taking it off is a struggle.

+1 for the roof box / multi storey carpark roof combo.i did a circuit with it crashing into every air duct..thinking ‘what the heck is all that banging’

+1 for the Thu axle left at home, you only do that once, now it goes straight back in the fork

+1 for front wheel left at home, didn’t get all the way to the trail that time…had a ‘left the gas on’ feeling and turned back, I knew something was wrong but couldn’t figure out what it was til I got home.

Phone on car roof when loading bikes up (why does that seem a good idea)

Had a friend who put his surfboard on the car roof and forgot to tie it down. It would have survived just coming off the roof…but the car behind…luckily no damage to cars or people

Works well for me. Even fixed a leak around the valve when that Got knocked once. I’ve pulled a few big tree thorns out of my tyre and it’s sealed quickly.

Seems to last for months between top ups, can’t remember the last time I topped it up, at least 6 months ago and I checked at the weekend there was still liquid in the tyre (perhaps I’m putting too much in)

There is a lot of difference in water and air temperature between mid spring and summertime.

For mid spring the water could be 10 degrees, and I would be looking at minimum of 4/3mm glued and blindstitched suit, gloves and boots/socks if I was spending any time in the water

For summer a 3/2 overlock seemed suit should be ok

Most of your activities sound like they are above the water rather than in the water so at a push the summer suit might Be bearable, but the air temperature in mid spring could also be low, wind chill is a factor.

It has been about 10 yrs since I bought a wetsuit, they may have moved on and have wider temperature ranges now.

I have a pair, not sure if they are the 2.

The fit is pretty true to measurements. I have a pair of 34 Long.
I’ve just compared to a pair of 33×36 501s the 34 waist is a bit larger as expected, the leg is surprisingly long about 36.5
The fit is about half a centimetre wider than the 501s on the thighs but they feel a bit narrower – don’t know why.

For mountain biking I stitched in the lower leg as it was too flappy. The seat is a bit slippy on my saddle at the start of a ride, and I can fit small pads (race face charge) under them. Not tried any bigger pads. I’ve got skinny sparrow like legs though.

I like them for ridin in if the temp is below about 8. Would be nice to have a few vents but for the price I can’t complain.
The pockets all have zips but aren’t huge.

    For.me yes

Surfing was always #1 buzz, but busier now than when I was keen on it

    Snowboarding #2

    MTBing #3

BUT, living a long way from waves and snow, I can go MTBing every weekend, that counts for a lot. Plus it’s not as dependent on weather (we’ll…most)

A flowy berny trail is close to snowboarding for me…but hurts more when crashing :-)

Agreed, refuse delivery. Courier will look a bit confused but should go along with it.

I accidentally ordered 2 bikes once and the company advised me to refuse delivery on the second. A worked out fine.

Hoespipe outside for the worst of the mud, usually it’s just on paws.

Microfibre noodle mat in the kitchen that dries paws quite well.

Dog stays in the kitchen on the noodle mat with some form of chew or Kong whilst they dry.
