gaffer tape on the inside sounds a good idea, ill give that a go, hopefully its not gone all the way through as i said it just seems like a small slit on the top layer because u can see all the stitching on the inside of the ” duel ply ” ill take it off and have a look cheers
ive got an alpine with the cane creek, yeh it does everything you need it to do, great on the decends and great on the climbs, yeh it can be bit slugish but it still gets up them! go for the 2012 alpine with the reverb and kashima coat forks :P
i had the same problem, it wont be the casette it will be the free hub that it sits on, i took mine to my lbs to get a freehub service and the play has gone :) try that
erm well ive not seen leap of faith before this was some jumps that people had made in the woods, talking a few year ago now few big gap jumps, dunt know if there still there but ill check out leap of faith!

from what we saw m8 it wasent even worth it and because we was with a new rider we defo not gonna try lol maby in a bob sleigh with a timer see who can get round the fastest lol
amasaback- ive been to the lakes and rode rocks and ice already but it wasent all just ice.. gisburn was just ice like i said above it was a bob sleigh track even people with snow tyres said they were having trouble, hoping to go next sunday and hoping its all gone by then xD
sorry was at work yeh they defo need to do something but then again it dosent snow that often so nothings going to get done about it. just gotta wait till it goes i guess
yep thx bish, least someone agrees on that point, and yeh gingerss, its got alot worse since u last went, its not even rideable, they had people there with snow tires who even then were falling off :/
in my opinion people should look after the trail centers better and grit it all down, if they know we are in for snow get the grit down before so people like me dont waste our time turning up :/
Gingerss – i think you told me it was fine but hully gully was pretty bad and you said the hope line was ok but fair slippery towards the end, its all the same m8 its a no go u was wrong lol
yeh total waste of time dont bother, on my previous thread asking about gisburn forest conditions and some people said it wad fine? talking out ur ars! save ur self time and wait until the ice has gone or find somewhere else.
and if ur putting it on tight corners etc where its going to unstick on the edges and get dirt under it use a hair dryer soften the tape after you have stuck it on to get rid of any air bubbles and it sticks 10 times better :)
i was up there the other day when it was soft snow and it was ok but to be honest now its -5 going on – 10 in some places! its all just frozen so im guessing no matter where you go in the area its all going to be frozen solid, if your riding the actual trails at the quarry they should be ok but anywhere out the quarry its just gonna be pretty hard going..
