ah right, its easy enough to get it the right way as the nipple has to be showing from the underneath to be able to get to it, it was just the way it was leaving a gap at the side was confusing me when i was screwing it in, cheers for the help guys ill have another go after :)

yea i saw that, what did this bit mean?

Make sure it is oriented so that the bump stop properly contacts the swingarm yoke.

ok ill use the loctite on the threads and a little bit more than nipped up and see how i get on, like i say with it being so clean and not full of grease ive prob not even noticed the gap on the right as its always been packed with grease in its place, i should get a torque wrench really but i wont over tighten it anyway cheers guys

By step you mean the tapered cone nut with the screw? , also i don’t over tighten things here? apparently its like a headset just nip them up enough so no play is that also correct before i go ahead?

true guys, ive been on a 30 mile ride today with them and i didnt notice a thing, i got a flat tyre on the back and had to change the tube but after i finished hand pumping it up it actully improved its wobble and became more true on the back end! i was like ehh?? oh well its got better at least, maby a handpump is better than using a track pump perhaps as its more slower as its going onto the rim? giving it more time to center? no idea lol weird! thanks puncture!

hmm there is a slight wobble on both tires i cant really do much about, as said above i haven’t had them long really but i wont be going tubeless again seems like too much hassle and work for what its worth and dosent make a huge amount of difference to the weight anyway, ill make do and run them to the ground before i get new ones, not worth spending all that money on new ones for a bit of wobble when i haven’t had them long, cheers anyway guys i was just curious as to why this was happening after following all the instructions i could!

rickon ive tried several times ive had them on and off god knows how much, they are both popping onto the rim and the line that runs along the side of the tyre near the rim seems right to me, it dosent move when i spin the tyre so that tells me its seated but ive tired several times now and with loads of faery liquid all over the tire and the rim! i just cant work it out, ive literally tried everything, even inflate a little and push it around and rolling it etc and still the same, very weird indeed

well yea u turn it off to take ur back wheel off but im just worried the clutch is causing the tension in making my gears really stiff even though ive a new inner cable and plenty of cable rooting so its not struggling, just odd :/

Ive topped up both wheels, the front had a small yellow puddle in that looked like urine lol so no wonder it wasent sealing and the back had non in just around the sides lol, ill keep checking every 3 month i think! Ive inflated both and they are both fine and seem to stay hard to i think the tricks worked lol

its got a tube in at the mo but i might have to take it off and really inspec the tyre and i need some stans sealant that looks like good stuff to use, ill have to possibly patch up where the small hole was leaking out as mensioned above from the inside perhaps before i apply more sealant

    chris_mbuk

well i had sealant coming out the sidewall near the rim and a hole on top but not a huge hole just big enough for it to seep out, i have no sealent here or anything as i say its all new to me ill prob have to take it into a shop or something for a repair :/

yeh this bike will have the RockShox Monarch Plus Debonair rear shock on it which is fine, theres nothing really i want to know i just wanted to ask if its worth the upgrade from the alpine 160, and can it take some hits and good on jumps etc? i wish i could afford the rims they look sweet but ill have to make do with WTB rims theey seem pretty sweet anyway!
