I started out on omeprazole but switched to lanzaprazole which does the job. Still get attacks but nowhere near as bad and a quick gulp of gaviscon sorts it out.

As for endoscopy – well, it’s not that bad until they check your colon I can tell you!

    Syncros Bulk here.

If I had the cash those Answer Pro Taper 780s look the biz.

Took mine into the LBS as the seat had some back and forth play after 18 months hard use. Sent off to Fishers who say the “collar” is worn and that this will cost £90 including a service.

    Crazy!

But I wouldn’t be without it now.

I’d second that. Although I’m no fan of SRAM shifters – you can always pop some slx ones on at a later date.

I have had a Nerve AM9 since Nov 2011, it has not gone wrong once, customer service was fine – they took the order and sent the bike when they said they would. I’ve not even had to touch the rear suspension bushes..(touch wood).

In terms of sizing their on-line size app seems to recommend small to everyone! I’m 6’1″ with a 31″ inside leg and the large size fits me perfectly. I have about 2cm of the reverb below the collett proud of the seat tube.

My friend has the AL+ and that’s bang tidy.

Their only weak point is that the air shocks are valved for an “average” 13 stone rider. Once you get towards the lardy end of the scale (I’m 18 stone..ulp!) they just don’t work. I replaced the stock RP2 mine had with a VanRC and it is just perfect with a 700lb spring.

    Cheers

Some pretty fantastic options already posted; great ingenuity. But – and this is me as a committed reverb user – how often are you selecting the thing?

I like the fact that my gear shifters are separate. Maybe I need to rethink my ergonomics!?

“The nice thing is that if you go back to SPDs, it’s still useful.”

Very balanced, been on spuds for 20 years and wont be swapping! It’s good to see the benefits of both platforms.

Interesting how many LaPierres seem to fail as well.

Best wee campsite in the area, right under Tryfan. Facilities are basic but clean and the views are superb. No pub and 48M Midges/cm2 in June.

I use the Nuke Proof lock on ones, work fine for me.

I have one and it serves me fine, I use it for recording where I ride and then saving the data to the Bryton website.

The maps are fine but the screen is quite small and I don’t use them for navigation, I like maps – the battery doesn’t run out and they don’t lose satellite signals!

The battery life is good for a long days ride and it does well keeping a signal. All in very good.

I have a Bryton HRM strap going spare if you decide to get one.

Downside – I broke the screen on one and they are irrepairable. However Bryton did offer me a replacement at cost which they didn’t have to do.

So, if you want recording where you went they are fine; the maps are good but the screen too small for me so using them to navigate by is a personal choice.

Having said that I’d be happy to swap mine for a new 20; it does all I need but they weren’t out when I got my 50.

Any chance of the LBS giving their point of view?

I had an RP23 but, because I’m a complete porker, I couldn’t get it to work properly with maximum psi in it.

Now running a Pushed VanRC with a 700lb titanium spring which weighs more but has the right sag and just simply works how I want it to.

If I could find an air shock that would work for me I would happily swap back for the weight saving (although my beer gut is decidedly heavier than the Van).

I have a pushed VanRC with a titanium spring on my Nerve AM. It’s there because I’m too fat for an air shock!

Major gas escape apparently, being vented through the stack flare.

I’m 48 and officially obese in Otley. Work and family means I never get out as often as I’d like.

Happy to meet up if you head over this way and I’m free (see above).

If you want a good large estate then a Mondeo handles well, does loads to the gallon and is massive inside. Same fuel economy and enough money left over for that £5k AM bike you want.

Mine turned up on schedule, most people seem to have no problem. A friend has just ordered a top of the range AL+ and there was some delay with it but it is now arriving today.

They keep you updated on where the bike is on the delivery trail at every stage once it’s left the factory.

Both my. reverbs have worked perfectly from Day 1.

I have several friends with them and none have had to send them back.

Hi there, coldest me and my daughter have camped at is -11 in the winter of 2009:

We also got down to -9 in 2010:

She first went camping at 10 weeks old and we had her in a grow bag wrapped in a down jacket.

As long as you keep them warm they should be OK!

Have you tried slackening the rotor bolts and retightening them gently, using the “opposite bolt” method? By which I mean pinch one bolt, then the opposite until you have all six pinched; then torque them down?

Occasionally just tightening the bolts up in a “circular” way can skew the disc.
