When I went for my one wisdom removal the consultant asked me if I wanted a general. Then he said “no” wasn’t a sensible answer!!!

    Tag Heuer watch.

It broke within three months, my £7.50 Casio never did.

No probs with Hand Dampf. Not noticed anything but grip, especially running tubeless.

Hans Dampf, trailstar compound. Does everything but axle deep gloop really well. Preferably tubeless.

XTR Shadowplus, never lost a chain since I got it on the bike several months ago. I’ve had no reliability issues and I don’t hang around before anyone wonders if I’m riding hard enough.

    😀

I’ve had a haematoma in my right thigh from a crash (broke collar bone, third time) about 10 yrs ago.

The docs left it alone because it’s inside the muscle. They only really operate/drain if it’s up against the bone; because the bone thinks the blood is marrow and tries to grow around it. This creates razor like edges/spurs on the bone and can be *quite* worrisome….

Hi Matt. I’ve changed the chain set from an XTR triple to the new XT double. The chainrings aren’t the same size and the direct mount front mech won’t allow me to lower it so I get the right clearance on the new chainset.

If I’d kept the XTR and fitted a bash plate (can you get one to fit?) I would agree with you.

Of course, I remain to be corrected as usual….(:0)

I have a Mondeo MkIV estate. Never put a foot wrong for me. Mahoosive luggage space and big enough to sleep in when required.

I am doing the exact same mod to my Nerve AM9 as we speak.

I have just tried to adjust the front mech (XT 3x) to account for the change in throw and height and it’s too big for the smaller system, I can’t get it low enough to the larger ring.

Just ordered an M786 front mech to suit the smaller chainring (XT M785 cranks 24/38) setup.

    I wasn’t planning on fitting a chain device as I have the Shadow+ r/mech.

So, that’s my thoughts, I’m sure there’ll be others.

    I’ve got a Feature.

Fits very nice, well made but not as well vented as my Xen. I use it for Trail Centres and when it’s cold….

I take mine to Paul at the LBS, he shortens them, charges me a paltry fee AND if all goes tits up (which it would if I did it); it isn’t my fault!!!!

I’m in Otley. I’m familiar with the area, if you want to meet up I might be around depending on dates.

I’m not very fast up hill so you might want to hang around with someone fitter if you’re easily frustrated!

26 miles round Wharfedale from Otley, Middleton, Round Hill, Lippersley, Timble, down the Washburn, Leathley and back up the Wharfe into Otley.

Only saw one other rider, in a bog on Round Hill!

All I need to do now is keep it up and lose a couple of stone and I’ll probably get round a bit quicker.

People regularly try to get “partial refunds” or hold the seller to “feedback extortion” – it’s happened to me as a regular ebay seller.

When it occurs I immediately offer a full refund, record it as extortion with Ebay and demand my item is returned.

    It’s the only way.

Do not send the wheels if you feel you are being extorted. Re-list them; there’s every chance you will get more for them second time round and Ebay will refund your fee.

I hate to say this (not) but I haven’t had a single puncture since I “went tubeless”.

So, the best tube is………. 😉

Gwern Gof Isaf is a trad campsite, it’s about the place not the facilities. In the shadow of Tryfan is enough for me. If you want flowery facilities try Butlins.

Beta blockers are prescribed for anxiety to reduce the physical symptoms I.e. panic / raised heart rate etc.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (citalopram, fluoxetine) are there to increase serotonin levels. Serotonin is associated with “happiness” but it’s really about “normal”. I take fluoxetine; all it does is make me feel normal ( no panic, anxiety, flight) – if I have to take them for the rest of my life I will prefer that to The alternative.. Saved my life, with no side effects.

Of course, my circumstances are unique and bear no resemblance to anyone else’s. See your GP and discuss.

My CRC bargain just arrived, looks great!

Try finding a headset to fit it! The recommended Warhead is sold out globally, ordered a Hope.

My only concern is mine doesn’t have the swap out dropout… guess I’d better be careful!
