Always stick on Radcliffe and Maconie of an evening after listening to R4 for most of the day (apart from The Archers and Libby ‘Luvvy’ Purve’s Midweek). I’ll tolerate TFTD in a morning but not a full hour of it. Church singing as well 😡

Just mentioned the new Unimogs to a friend who’s into vehicles like these and he said they’re shite off road. He does drive all sorts of tractors, excavators and weird machines for a living mind you so he’s spoiled for choice. Still want one though. Been watching a tree surgeon today using his with a shredder on the front.
Hmm.. must get on a course at Myerscough for my chainsaw tickets. 🙂

My Hotpoint has cracked there too. It was like that when i got it second hand. Ok it’s where you pull open the door but recently I’ve stopped using mine cause of a burning smell. Opening it up revealed a burnt live feed connector right where the crack is so I wonder if it’s connected.

If you’re using a jigsaw then get some quality blades and obviously measure twice, cut once.

Cliviger is bloody lovely Rusty you lucky sod. There’s just something about it. Great for geologists as well. Fancied moving there myself. 🙂

Plenty of Blackcaps out the back of our garden because it’s quite scrubby which is great for wildlife and some birds like Blackcap, Nightingale and others as it’s untouched.
Trouble is that increasing Deer population like to clear up the scrub.
We need creatures like these back.

Clean edges when painting eh, well, what i did (one burn red wall meets cream wall) paint the walls (obviously) then got some 1/4 circled beading from Homebase then painted that cream. let dry then cut to length and apply to corner with No Nails glue

    Sure fine edging

I never bother masking off, the paint creeps under even on a smooth surface. Get two or three quality synthetic brushes of different sizes and see which you prefer. It will get easier after the first coat.
Over lap round the corner on each colour as well for the first coat to get the corner filled up with paint.

Just been telling the OH about what went on with baby formula in China a few years ago, so certainly not blaming them or anyone. Wasn’t someone sentenced to death for that?

Spent a couple of weeks camping here[/url] last year.
Really enjoyed it. Just 5 minutes walk outside Aberaeron. Quite nice sat outside the Harbour Master of an evening drinking Erdinger. 🙂 No sandy beach but good for rock pooling. There’s a nice sandy beach down the road at New Quay where you can watch them bring the life boat in if you’re lucky.

What plan have you been following? I’ve been doing Strong Lifts for the past year or so and as it only involves doing 3 exercises a session it’s easy to get into the habit and stick to it. You only need a basic bench, barbell and weights so I do the workout in the garden. Bit of a strange sensation doing bench presses in the rain though. 🙂

You could get them dipped somewhere which will bring the paint off but doors assembled with a lot of glue wont like it plus there will be a lot of sanding down after. I’d just wash down, sand and paint.
    Or buy new doors. 🙂
Sorry. Door frames you said. Urmm. New house. 🙂

Ride Lee and Cragg on my own at night without any problems. Only ever see the odd biker/runner. Cragg’s a bit more spooky though being full of nooks and crannies.
Only ever been down to Phillips with mates and wouldn’t fancy it on my own. Had dickheads drive at us a couple of times.

My Discovery turned into a tanker ship for a few scary seconds this afternoon due to braking a bit too hard with summer tyres on. Thankfully I’d kept my distance and after mad panic from the abs (not me 🙂 ) We stopped. Easily done.

We started using rapeseed oil instead of olive a while ago then found out your bog standard veg oil is actually 100% rapeseed so have gone full circle and just use that now. Is it any different from the poncy more expensive stuff?

Im still using an original Hope 4 as my only light I got in 2008 not long after they first came out and its been great. Plenty of light for me. Have always mounted mine on the bars without any problems. Don`t know about the new ones but mines a bit too heavy for helmet mount. Have recently bought one of those cheap led torches from Aldi I could use for that.

It has stopped working twice in that time though. Unsuprising given the use it gets all through the winter.
Hope fixed it foc within a week so no complaints.

Stayed at Bwlchgwyn Farm just down the road from Graigwen. Up on the hillside looking across the estuary to Barmouth and up the coast. Beautiful.
A nice half hour walk across the rail bridge into town as well.
Will be going again next year.

Planning on doing this myself. Seems straight forward enough.
Hardest bit would be getting the liner in I’d imagine.
The gas man is coming in Feb to service the boiler and said he’d inspect and sign it off for me. I’ll have to put a new hearth in as the one we have in is marble which apparently isn’t allowed. Don’t know about a concrete hearth.
    Looking forward to doing it.

Apparently the best place to see them are supermarket car parks because they tend to plant trees that bear the berries they like. 🙂

Nice pics. They’ve been spotted near to me in East Lancs a few times. Would love to see one.
A flock of Fieldfare flew over head chuckling away on the ride home from work. Love the fact we get lots of different kinds of birds in winter.

Just set up broadband with EE from Sky on Friday and seems fine. Bit cheaper. Would have preferred getting it through Virgin as we have cable to the house but girlfriend signed up with them when they cold called. 🙄

Sound like a typical episode of Clare in the Community.

    My thoughts exactly.
Social Services say they need more foster carers yet the way they operate it makes foster carers feel the need to finish with it all.

It’s still great to see a child bond and finally go with there adoptive parents though. Even though you do become very attached. 🙂

E Spares is where I’ve bought stuff in the past. Quick delivery.
Very easy to replace the element. If it is the element you can tell straight away. Unplug old one and plug in the new.
£40-£50 though plus they recommend you change the thermostat at the same time, about a tenner.

I never had UKIP down as a racist party. Silly party, yes.
On first reading this story I thought there’s bound to be more to this story and that the couple wouldn’t have to stop fostering because they support UKIP but seeing as my OH is a foster carer and knowing what rubbish she has to put up with from social workers then it doesn’t really surprise me.
