We’ve had a 7 seat 1.5dci +2 for a few months now and think it’s great. Very comfy and nice to drive. Much better than the Zafira it’s replaced

Wash down with sugar soap, rub it aplenty with wet and dry sand paper and paint it with whatever primer, undercoat and finish coat you have knocking around. Preparation is always the key.

Never been in the Craven. Always thought it looked OK. But then pubs always seem to be better a bit further out of town. The Red Lion up New church rd towards Water foot is OK too. Only a short stagger from me door.

They’re all dives (what’s left of them) in Rawtenstall, apart from the White Lion just up Burnley rd. Well run, cosy, good ales and decent bands on a Saturday night. Always seems to be busy. Oh and the station bar as as already mentioned, not to be confused with the old Jism Rhythm Station 🙂

Absolutely horrific. 😯 You read about all the things that went on but seeing footage like this. **** terrible.

Just use masonry paint. Thin the first coat down a bit.

Thanks for the replies. Thought it was about 5mm could be 5.5 or 6. For some reason I didn’t think the likes of B&Q did sheets so thin. Will have a look tomorrow. Thanks

Girlfriend has had one for the past couple of years and it’s been crap. It’s a 58 plate 1.8 petrol Sri and while we like the driving position and the seven seats and they all fold flat turning it into a van it hasn’t been the most reliable.
The gearbox and a clutch plate went on it after about 60000 miles costing £1000 and now it needs a new power steering pump. Gear change is rubbish as well, the throttle seems to be set up wrong. When setting off it either wants to stall or it jumps forward so you end up revving the nuts off it while slowly letting the clutch out.

It must be a duff one cause they can’t all be this bad. She can’t wait to get rid.

You do know you’ll all be blind in the morning and it’ll be down to me to save all you useless feckers from the triffids?

Aye. Always done it clockwise or you’ll be pushing up Cowpe from Waterfoot.
You might die riding up Rooley moor road though. 🙂

Did mine myself which included having to put in a concrete hearth at the base of the chimney. Cost me £240 to get building control to sign it off who were very helpful and came out quickly. Once when I’d fitted the liner and concreted the hearth and then once when I’d finished.
Would definitely use scaffolding if I were to do it again though.
I also used the Stove Fitters Manual.

It’s not easy as a one man band to deal with customers. Out the door in the morning after sorting the kids out. Drive/cycle to job, set yourself up. Do work. Repeat.
I bearley get a minute to text never mind call someone.
Bloody annoying though when someone doesn’t get back to you I know.

Another one here with a Khyam. Bought a Ridji Pod second hand off friends. Huge center section with built in poles you pull up to erect. Then attach up to three, four man bedroom pods on the outside.
Extremely sturdy as well. Did us proud for two weeks on cliff tops in Anglesey in August.
Nothing worse than coming home to a wrecked tent as some of the other campers found out.

Do we need slow cookers rather than an oven on low?

Gutted the Vulcan didn’t show especially after it took us 4 and half hours to get there. Should take about an hour for me. Knew it was going to be busy, just nothing as bad as that.
Still, despite the traffic with the screaming kids and poor weather thought it was a really good show but then I’m easily pleased when aircraft like those are flying.
    Typhoon was awesome.
Never tire of seeing the Red Arrows. Always expecting them to hit one another. 😯
Lynx was fantastic. A helicopter just shouldn’t be able manoeuvre like that.
Would have loved to have seen the Merlin a bit closer but we were still trying to shepherd the kids down the front. Looked as though it was going to land on the pier. 🙂
Good day out when we finally got there. Just ‘kin exhausted.

Yeah you need something 8×. Got some Opticron 8×25 for free for joining the BTO a few years ago and were great. I’d go for Hawke.

Just back from a packed Morecambe where we stood on the end of the stone jetty. Everyone went quiet as we watched two tiny lines over the mountains of Lakes come towards us. They looked like they were going to fly past us to Heysham then banked round and flew right over us. Bloody awesome. Loved it. 😀

Canadian one not flying today according to their Facebook page. Supposed to be doing today’s route tomorrow instead. Was hoping to see them both over Morecambe bay tomorrow. Bloody weather. 🙁

I’m after some new lights this year after the solar storm’s I bought last year packed up. They just about lasted the winter before the lamp cable started breaking away at the connector.
Great light for next to nowt so I’ll get another as a spare but I think I’ll spend a bit more to get something a bit longer lasting.

    You need windows for tracklogs.
Don’t let that stop you from getting a chromebook though. Plenty of other map apps.
Went on the desktop PC today for the first time in a while and just seems slow and very old fashioned.

Don’t know about wild camping but there are loads of nice beaches on the island so take your pick. As for normal campsites my parents always took us to Hewits just outside Benllech. Think it’s now Golden Sunset who have the caravan site next door. The camping fields are great, up on the cliffs. Lots of small secluded fields and some larger ones. One which takes you right down to the cliff path and rocks to do some crabbing. 😀 You don’t book, just turn up.
If your after somewhere to eat and drink then there’s the excellent Golden Fry chippy in town. Just don’t bother with the Benllech Hotel. A pleasant walk will take you along to Red Wharf bay and the Ship Inn. Lovely place to sit outside and have a drink. Another eatery next door.
