Quite liking this FIP. Something else to drive the missus mad when she wants Heart FM on. 🙂

The spewy bug is just working its way through our house. The boy had to be picked up early from school yesterday for vomiting. He plonked his drinks bottle down on the table whilst my back was turned and quick as lightning my 3 year old took a swig.
Needless to say that come 2 o’clock today the poor little girl was after me for hugs hurling every which way. 🙁
She’s sleeping sound now though. 🙂

I suppose the DAB interference is a good indicator of whether someone’s fitting cheap rubbish then. 🙂
I’ve also thought of going the speaker only way, but I’ll be using up my data in no time away from home.

I’ve given up on DAB due to interference from LED bulbs

I’d been working in someone’s house who had LEDs in his new kitchen extension which would turn my DAB radio off upstairs when switched on. Would even badly interfere when up in the attic.

Did Mike Pickering just balls up a mix then? 🙂

Gone for a Jaguar XE diesel in the lower powered version(163bhp). Nox wise I’m assuming this isn’t too bad an option – it’s got an adblue tank that needs to be refilled circa every 9000 miles.

Just googled what this adblue thing is. We’re using a new Zafira as a courtesy car at the minute and adblue flashes up on the dash now and then. Does it really work?

Same with me Cougar. I’ve no account details and just a rough idea of the year I took them out. I just filled out the forms best I could.

Done the same after that other thread. I’d a couple of loans with Alliance and Leicester quite a few years ago. Will see what happens.

Loved playing Twisted Metal on my brothers PS1. Brilliant game.
You can get it for PS2 too.

Tell you what. I’ll go and find out for you tomorrow afternoon. It’s a while since I’ve been up there and it’s all calmed down now as regards the weather.

I’d be surprised if it still exists in the morning. 😯

I’ve been wondering about a Discovery 3 myself. Maybe I’ll get a Pathfinder though.
My neighbour works for an independent Landrover garage and drives a D2 which may
    tell you something.
I’ll ask him about them anyway.

It was £90 to have it powder coated. I know that it’s a bit more than some, but the finish is first class and they had the colour I wanted.
When I took the frame in he showed me exactly what they do.
Dipped it, blast it, give a coat of phosphate and then the powder coat.
Masked off and bunged up everything that needed bunging.

As regards to the seat post. I just cut it down and left the caustic soda to do its thing and it fell in half. Powerful stuff.

What’s wrong with Nevagals? After fannying about for ages with two sets of Conti Mountain Kings, I’m just glad that they go round in a circle. 😀

Are those downtube wrap stickers easy to apply?

Surprisingly yes. Although it took me a while to be brave enough to do it. 🙂

They come with a hole to go over the bottle mount thingy and I just lined it up with rack of th’eye. Smoothed it down with a cloth.

The seat post was well seized and I tried all sorts so I chopped it down and poured caustic soda down it.

    That did it.

Does she need a 4×4? Is she going to drive off road? Or is this an image thing?

    Didn’t take long.

I’ve seen second hand ones in the right colour for sale with marks and scratches and the odd split so I’ll suggest she gets one of those. She can have it tarted up after Christmas.
On top of this, her heatings not working now.
    No I’m not getting involved. I mustn’t. 🙂

    Thanks all.
The bumper is completely cut in two and colour coded. Panther Black I think if it’s the same as another friends Fiesta.
I’ve found a primed bumper for £79 which she’s happy with. Told her I’ll fit it and then she can have it sprayed sometime after Christmas.

Cheers for the offer big yim. I’m up in Rossendale, North West though. I’ve had a look at a couple of videos on YouTube and as I thought it’s a matter of a few screws/bolts and clips.

Thanks. I thought it looked easy enough. It’s just that I noticed a small switch behind the bumper that got me thinking.
I’ll be having a proper look this weekend if the weather’s a bit better. Ta

Just watching this again. Superb. Loved it.

Not only that it seemed very disjointed, one minute a Golden Eagle in the Alps, next a plant in Kenya, then a cat in the Rockies, no real proper theme and / or story

Well, it’s about planet earth and the theme of the one I’ve on is about mountains.

It’s your home and you can open any letter that comes through the door. Tell them to **** off. They are a bunch shysters waiting to take money off anyone. Pricks.
    Bad day?

Well.. If you’re determined not to bother with the caustic soda, then nuking from orbit is the only way to be sure. 🙂

If it’s a steel frame then get some caustic soda in there and see it melt away before your very eyes. Just keep your eyes well out of the way.
Just done this with a very stuck seat post.

I very occasionally listen to Radio Lancashire if reception is crap for R4 or 6 music. Sometimes they’ll talk nature or something else that interests me but then they keep on insisting on playing rubbish music.

It sounds pretty much what we have. I’ve just finished renovating the small shower room in the attic which the previous owner fitted. They had to lower the ceiling a bit in the bathroom underneath to hide the soil pipe to go out through the wall. Extractor goes through the roof. No dormers up there and I’ve used the eaves for extra storage easily enough.

I had assumed they would all be the same but alas

Ha. No chance of that. It’s plumbing. They use metric and imperial on the same bits.

We have three foster kids. All siblings. 12,11 and 3 year old and they’re bloody brilliant.
My OH had been fostering for a while before we met and mainly looked after babies and toddlers usually for two or three years before they either went on for adoption or back to parents.
The three we look after now have been with us for a couple of years and will be here long term thankfully.

I know not quite in the Dales but there’s a couple around the Huddersfield area I’ve done that are good.
Overgate Hospice challenge and a local scout group used to organise one around the same area. Both good.

    My mum would say.
“I’ve been stood here like cheese at fo’ence.”
It took me years to realise that it was cheese at four pence and that it may be expensive and so it may not move. 🙂
