    Cool.
I bet you were glad they were on the other side of the fence. 🙂

Start with your first piece either in centre of wall or chimney breast if you have one and don't put your first piece where you have to cut around sockets. This way it's easy to get it nice and straight.
Work your way round each way and finish in the least visible corner.

Before you start take a roll of paper and mark where each piece will go.
The last thing you want is for a length of paper to land 10mm short of a corner.

Ok. So what good trail can you recommend that's a similar distance in the same area which takes in some of these Flibberty Jibberty, Umpa Lumpa, and Ride me Sideways trails. 😀

Beetroot, coleslaw, marzipan, cheese and chips and any of that deep fried weirdness some parts of the uk enjoys.

    Rhubarb's ace. 🙂

I was up there all this morning and I think the new trails are fantastic and go together with all the existing trails really well.
Loads of people there as well.

When I say 6 weeks I meant that it took that long before I could no longer feel any pain. I was back riding just after a week.
    I just took it easy.

I had my wrist x-rayed cause I thought I'd bust it. It was just soft tissue damage in the joint though. I was told not to use it but keep trying to move it so it doesn't seize up.
It took about 6 weeks to fully heal.

They're shite. Despite their size they have bog all load space. I know a few tradesmen who have used pickups for a few months and then swapping them back for a van because of the lack of room for equipment.
You'd be better off with an mpv.

I've a Berlingo and can get three fully built bikes in stood up plus load of gear. Partners are identical.
The Connect is a bit bigger and I think your limited to doing 60 on the motorway.

A bridleway dash on a 1:25000 map = 70 metres on the ground.

A cheeky little dash on the same map is 30 metres.

Well I only learnt this last year. 🙂

I think the yellow ones are domestic hybrid ducklings.

    Either that or they're anodised.

    Rawtenstall awful for transport links

There's no train link I know, but you're soon on the M65. Crawshawbooth's nice, but it's only just up the road from Rawtenstall.

How about Read(they have a Read library :-)), or Simonstone near Padiham. Very close to the M65.

I think I'd go with Cliviger.

Chorlton, do you fit the crank with a torque wrench and periodically check the crank bolts?

No. Not with a torque wrench.
I just did it up bastard tight. (Too tight?) With a thin smearing of grease on the bb axle. Not pro I know. 🙂

I was constantly checking the crank bolts. Seeing as it was £200.

No idea how they round off juan.

I always do my own bike servicing.
Maybe it's the constant sludge of Pennine grit stone that does it.
    Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong. 🙂

My square tapered RS7s rounded off after about 10 months. I made sure they were properly tightened as well. Especially after previous cheap square tapered cranks I had did the same.

They were on my one and only bike which gets used a lot though.

    Still. The chainrings lasted.

The beep is about 5 seconds long repeated. I'm not an IT expert but could sort it out if I have instructions. Hopefuly 🙂

    Thanks

It is a faff with Stans to start with but if like me you use the same tyres(Kendas) all year then you can have 6 months of riding without a flat.

Any reason you don't want to use a mountain bike chain?

I didn't think you could use a 9 speed chain.

Does it really knacker your knees up? I mentioned this to a rider who rides single speed a lot and he said it's rubbish. More to do with wrong spd positions. I ride flats anyway.
I have noticed the facial hair thing though amongst the one geared lot.
It's a good job I've stocked up on Tescos 26p for ten razors then.

Don't bother. Apart from the the fact that they make you look like a two legged shire horse, they're crap.
    Just get some sealskinz.

    I wouldn't have thought it's an ST4. It's got Pikes on it.

Would love to have a go in a car like that around a track but I'd feel a bit of a prat driving around town in one.

Nila in Rawtenstall is always a safe bet if you like Indian. Marios Italian place is ok. There was a place on the right hand side as you drive out of Haslingdon towards Accrington that was good as well. Forget its name. Verandos or somthing.

My rear mech snapped off my P7 t'other week so I've decided to use it as a single speed for a while and see how I get on.

Bloody hell what a workout. My abs are killing me and my legs are like jelly after a ride. So it's certainly seems to be making me fitter. In a different way I suppose.

Great Tits have been practising their 'teacher teacher' song since the thaw.
And the Blackbirds are warming up.
Havn't heard a Mistle Thrush yet though.

If it's made it here, why has it only made itself known to dumb hick yanks?

Just be careful riding in Calderdale 😀

I serviced mine (non u turn dual air) the other week for the first time in two and a half years.
    They'd had it. 🙂

Very easy to do if you're the practical sort. I just cleaned everything and changed the oil as the seals looked fine although I think you should replace the seals every time they're serviced.
Sounds like a seal has gone on yours and what with the u turn being stuck it may be best sending them back.

I downloaded the service instructions from Srams website.

Waxoyled inside my frame when I bought it. I sprayed a bit too much in actually so got the hair dryer and warmed the tubes up and let the excess dribble back out.
It was an aerosol can as well.

No ice or snow at all yesterday evening. It seems to have gone colder here today so the sloppy bits should be rock hard. What time are you thinking of going? I'm going up first thing in the morning. So I could tell you after.

It's sloppy after the skills bit to the top of the cliffs(they are buiding new trails). Everything else is fine.

Hmmm, its true you cannot disclaim against negligence, but as said above if someone is seriously hurt or killed for whatever reason if you are shown to have a duty of care it does leave you exposed to the scrutiny of the law.

We are exposed to the scrutiny of the law every day.

As long as your sensible you'll be alright.

If you go to New Scientist.[/url] Search for ghosts and the report I mentioned earlier is at the top. May be others but I haven't looked through the rest.
