Just been looking this morning for ideas during easter and girlfriend suggested Center Parcs. 2 adults plus a 11 month old, 3 yr old and 6 yr old for 4 nights at Whinfell. £759 😯
Assuming the paper was put on properly in the first place with butted joints then you won’t need a knife. You can’t get a good straight line anyway and will show when you put your new piece on and you’ll end up cutting through the lining paper as well.
Don’t forget, when you pull the paper away from the wall it will probably leave the backing part behind which needs to come off as well to keep it level with the rest, which means you’ll need to carefully wet it with a sponge.
As long as you soak it as per instructions then the new paper will end up the same width as the old although not perfect so as seanodav says it may be better to go back to the nearest corner.
You could give the splicing a go first but it depends on the pattern, texture and age of the paper as to how well hidden it’ll be. Done carefully you can’t see the patch.
Just do what it tells you on the label. Probably use soap flakes in the sink or Nikwax Tech wash or something similar in the washer. Just clean the powder drawer of detergent first. I always do mine pretty regularly.
Signs is alright because it’s got aliens in….but.. err this ‘Let the right one in’. Has it got tits in it? 😀
I stroke the girlfriends hair to send her to sleep and slill end up watching crap. 🙂
Thanks matt. I did wonder about putting some sort of soak away in but with it being heavy clay I didn’t think it would work unless I get digging to Australia, and having a full on pipe drain is too much work as I doubt the council would appreciate me digging up the pavement.
I thought about water coming up between the wall/concrete join but it has never been all that wet. Just a couple of puddles where the missing flag stones were. Plus the floor will be getting a damp proof membrane underneath.
Think I’ll leave the coal chute as it is and just put a vent in. A day of lifting out 3″ thick stone flags and clay on your own is enough. 🙂
Better off spending your money on a Disco I think. A lot more to go wrong but a series 2 isn’t that bad.
£3000 got me a top spec 99 reg TD5 ES with 126k miles. I love it.
It’ll run on veg oil too. 🙂
Or you could get the engine remapped for more power and MPG for around £350.
Off out on my own tonight and will be riding up through Lee Quarry which isn’t all that spooky despite when you think about all the men killed there in accidents over the years. Cragg Quarry is though for some reason. Perhaps it’s cause it’s not so open and has more nooks and crannies for the monsters/big cats to hide. 😯
I got some of these compact 8×25 Opticron binos free when I joined the British Trust for Ornithology. They’re about £50 to buy and I think they’re really good for the price.
We stopped at Middlewood Farm[/url] in Robin Hoods bay a few weeks ago and seemed nice. Just outside a quiet village so easy walking distance to the pub. 🙂
prevention is better than cure where blisters are concerned. did you figure out what caused them?
Well apart from not walking enough leading up to the event, plus I suppose it was my stupid choice of wearing trainer socks in my walking shoes.
I’ve probably answered my own question, but just wondered what other, more experienced walkers do.
Wet jeans are horrible.
The Craghoppers are good. I’ve had a pair for about 3 year now and are wearing really well plus they’re fairly quick drying. A bit wide a fitting for my liking though.
So I’m after some of these. North Face Meridian Convertible pants that will zip off into shorts if you want.
On Radio 4. Ramblings, Open Country, Living World, Farming Today 🙂 Saving Species, Material World, In Our Time, Thinking Aloud, From Our own Correspondent, IPM, Excess baggage, Home Planet.
RSPB are in the business of running nature reserves and campaigning. You need to be ringing the RSP CA, and then they might just tell you to put it back where you found it.
I’ve only just got rid of my 2002 Trek frame that’s been hanging in the garage for the past 3 years since I replaced it with a P7. 🙂
I don’t know about the new frames but mine was very stiff and would have been very light with decent components on.
If I’d have known, then you could have had it. Can’t believe I took it to the tip. 😥
Came off my bike last year and ended up having an x-ray on my wrist cause I was in agony. It was just soft tissue damage in the joint and took over a month before I was pain free.
A local farmer said that he had seen the beast near Cragg just the other week.
Woooooooo… 🙂
He said it’s got retractable legs so it can leap up at you better and it lights up at night and it’s got four ears. Two of them are for listening and the other two are kind of back up ears.
It’s claws are as big as cups and for some reason it’s got a tremendus fear of stamps.
He also said it’s got magnets on its tail so that if you are made of metal it can attach it’s self to you and instead of a mouth, it’s got four arses. 😀
My van conked out after being driven for a couple of minutes this morning. The guy in the local car shop said it was probably due to the diesel waxing because of the cold. It was -10 here last night.
Managed to finally get it going this afternoon after much trying. Plus needed jump leads as battery quickly lost it’s charge.
Oi you lot I’m from Bacup and it’s the place to be seen these days.
There’s great cuisine to be had from the erm…Co-op and the likes.
Plus a fantastic selection of beers and wines are available in cosmopolitan market town pubs such as…the err..thingy…
