Earlier this year, I bought the 42″ version of the Panasonic up there ^, from John Lewis. I can’t fault the telly or the service we got from JL.
I paid £480 delivered. Cock on.

Ton, I went in Harry’s Bar on a Tuesday teatime a few weeks back. It was a bit busy. It turns out, every Tuesday at 6pm, they put a barrel on sale at a pound a pint.

No beer for me tonight, I’m on 7-7 night shift.

We were with Onetel for years, before they were bought out by TalkTalk and never needed customer services. I eventually decided we needed a better speed than the half Meg we were on. Cue the introduction to their customer services.
    I’m with Plusnet, now.

My check in is 6:30 in Skipton. I’m camping in Aysgarth, so IIRC, I’d have to ride down the course to Skipton, be bused back up the course to Kettlewell/Kidstones, not see the Tour pass by, then get taken back down to Skipton for my 28 mile ride back up the course to Aysgarth.
Or, I can stay in bed, get up at a reasonable hour and watch from outside the pub in Aysgarth.

I’ve got the email this aft, I’ve been allocated an off-route role.
Errm, I’ll have to think about that.

It’s in need of a coat of looking at. Eventually, that grease c/w grit that Hexhamstu refers to, just won’t cut it.

I don’t normally buy Jaffa Cakes. I’ll get some next time I’m in.

Met a guy from Norway at a mate’s wedding who takes his insulin by nose spray.

I bet that’d make his snuff a bit claggy.

How did I miss this tread, twice!!

I think it’ll be 3 years in October since I got my pump. It’s a keeper.
Harry, the first time I heard about insulin pumps, was from a chap who used to ride with us. He’d seen my Hypostop gels in my pack and we got nattering. His son (must’ve been no more than 7 years old) was diabetic and had got a pump. It had made such a difference to his lad’s control, he said if anything happened to the pump, he’d gladly buy another out of his own pocket (at £2k+)!
Oh, while I’m here, for folks who’ve done the DAFNE course, I found out the other week, after a Ketone+ test, there’s an online DAFNE Handbook. This may be old news.

I’m stood on the platform at Wakefield Westgate, on my way.
I’m sure there’ll be some bars open after the event.

I rode through Knottingley today, first time I’d been on the road bike for at least 8 months. Knottla wasn’t nearly as painful as the road bike.
Sorry, I’ve no idea about the tow path.

, the justification is the patrons of the pub are willing to pay it (there are frequently range rovers/rollers/astons in the car park.)

It keeps the riff raff out.

I’m going this year, taking 2 nephews (6 & 11) and a friend of the 11 year old. The wife was supposed to be dropping us off, but now she’s read this, she’s coming.

I applied yonks ago. There was mention of a video interview in one of the emails, but all I’ve been through is “online training”. I was accepted a couple of weeks after that and was invited to an orientation day, with a choice, Leeds Arena on the 24th May or London Copper Box on 1st June.
I got an email yesterday –
“We are pleased to offer you a role on Stage 1 on Saturday 5th July of the Tour de France 2014. You will be positioned on or around Sector 8.

There is a map on the Tour Maker website in the ‘About the Tour’ section that shows where each Sector starts and ends http://www.asda.jobs/tourmakers/ .”

The orientation day is supposed to be when we get to know what we’ll be doing on the day.

Me and two friends used Freemotion’s bikes, both road and mtb, on their guided rides. Really good days out. On a previous holiday, the wife and I went on two of their trekking days, and really enjoyed those, too.

Nexus is a good one. I used to have 2, but one disappeared.
Garage Bikes didn’t sell Topeak, so I got a Crank Bros one, on Big Al’s recommendation.
It’s only been used once so far, by someone else. It feels decent, though.
