Thanks for the replies. It looks like I’ll have to wait until the next Halford’s discount offer, I’ve not got time to get there before Friday.

    Pah,some real lightweights on here.
A real test is when you get asked to wash a hairy arsed Yorkshire man’s back in the showers. >>Pithead Baths<<

Been there, done that, worn the grey vest.
As a 16 year old apprentice fitter, the bashfulness soon wore off. :-)

Like Takisawa, I don’t see the BB code in the Android app. There’s a share button, but it doesn’t take me to owt that says BBC. What do I do with a URL copy?

    I’m missing something, aren’t I?

I got a pair of the Troy Lee Moto shorts a couple of years back, following a PSA on here.
Quality shorts, with removable pads. They’re a bit warm in summer, mind.

Whack it. Secure the spanner so it doesn’t fall off . . and whack it.

What a good idea, cant make out what the straps are and how fixed to the wall.

The straps look like bungees (they won’t scratch the top tube). I imagine they’re hooked into decent sized eyes or staples. Not a bad idea, but you’ll need a lot of wall space for more than one or two bikes.

Any tips for posting pics from the Flikr app to here using my iPhone??

I’m not brainy enough to post from the Flickr app (on android) either. I have to open the photo in Chrome, then I get the “little arrow out the box” icon. There’s an easier way, but I don’t know it.
    I’m no help, am I? :(

My weekend started a bit late, I was working till Sunday morning, then I crashed out all day.
Went out this morning for a cold muddy local ride.

Back in the 70s, my mates parents had a Basset Hound called Blossom. If he took her out for a walk, he wasn’t overly fond of her calling her back.

I bought a Bizango last October, I think it was. I joined BC and waited for a 10% off weekend.
The weekend 10% comes off to make it £540, then your BC 10% off that makes it £486.
Edit: He only needs the bronze membership to qualify for the discount.

I felt mine developing on Christmas day, ended up going to the walk-in centre on the Saturday. I saw a prescribing nurse, she couldn’t see my eardrum, so prescribed oral antibiotics. The soreness took a week to go, swelling’s just about gone.
    Get well soon.

Using the masonry drill probably tightened the screw up further.

Next Christmas, get Santa to bring you a decent quality drill bit set and easyouts. If you get a stuck bolt in the meantime, take it to the LBS.

Put some Copaslip on your new crankset bolts, before they get stuck.

We were late with our Christmas dinner, the buffet stuff wasn’t required.
We’ve got about a kg of Coke ham and a 2lb pork pie to snaffle. Plus what’s left of the turkey crown, and the pork joint. All the cheese. And pickled onions.
We’re invited to a party this afternoon, so I’m going to have my work cut out getting through the fridge.
    Happy days.

You drink like you’re from Australia, which is the joint 18th heaviest-drinking country in the world.

Still, having done four 12 hour night shifts this week, I’ll be emigrating to Belarus imminently.

They have Orval on their webstore.
    RM

The wife and I have been over to the Bierhuis shop this afternoon.
Not being much of a Belgian beer drinker, I took a shortlist of recommendations from this thread.
I got Karmeliet Triple, Orval and St Feuillien, just a couple of each.
Also, Thornbridge Jaipur, Marble Dobber and 2, 5 litre casks, one Bradfield Farmers Blonde and an Ossett Nervous Turkey.
While I was in there, someone asked for and took some Schenkerla Smokebeer, so I got a couple of those. Will I die?

Those Pork Farms pork pies they sell in Lidl. Got to be with HP sauce, they’ve not got any taste otherwise.

I’d never been a gin drinker, until the last gin thread, so I can’t recommend one.
I suspect, though, that this thread, like the previous one, is going to give me headaches.
    Thanks. :?
