It’s ok and normal to be scared. You’re now on the right side of the line, in the hands of the medical professionals. Trust in them and the process, taking it one step at a time. Try not to second guess or predict the future.
Tip: When you see the consultant take a notebook, write down what they say. There can be a lot to take in and process. It really helps to keep the mind focused around the process and the facts.
With your loved ones, tell them how it is today. Not how it might be in the future.
Yes I do the WM Method, have done since July. The breathing and the yoga exercises 50% of the time, the cold showers everyday without fail. I really enjoy the cold showers, with the weather getting cooler the cold water is getting colder and fresher. Fantastic for invigorating the body and mind.
Over the years I’ve tried all sorts of mindfulness type activities and for me this is by far the best. It’s as if, it’s so full on and all consuming the that the mind has no chance wander and generate crap thoughts, like you’re not doing it right (as can be the case with ‘Mindfulness’)
I wouldn’t be without it, especially with the way the world is today.
How, for instance, do you ensure that the recipient of your Top Sekrit document doesn’t immediately print it out and then leave it in Starbucks?
With AIP labelling you can prevent printing & downloading amongst other things (sadly you can’t prevent screenshots if the device isn’t managed). How practical such strict controls are in the ‘real world’ for you and your recipient… that’s for you to weigh up the pros, cons and risks.
Assuming you’ve got Teams, invite the recipient to the Team as an external guest (Maybe create a Private Team for all matters related to work with the recipient) Wrap the AIP labelling policies around the file to be shared, then share the file with the recipient via Teams eh voila. The file(s) are safe(r) and monitored.
If your org is using M365 then take a look at AIP, it’s there and ready to be used. Saving the need to use and pay for other 3rd party solutions.
I’ve had the app running all day since the day of launch. This morning I opened the app to surprisingly find out I have to self isolate for ‘another 8 days’? Yet a no point was I informed that I need to self isolate at all.
I work from home, the only contact with the outside world is indirectly via my kids and their school. So I’m not sure how and when I’ve come into contact with anyone and I’m certainly not sure why I’ve been instructed to isolate via a count down only and no other form of notification.
For the last six days I had no idea I should be self isolating (as should my wife and kids) and I that I have potentially been in contact with the virus.
In order to establish the facts the only way I can see forward is to book a test (taking up precious resources) Luckily I’ve managed to book a test this for afternoon. Whatever the outcome I can establish some facts and respond accordingly based on facts (entering the results into the app), and not due a potential bug in the app that might have randomly determined that I should self isolate for no reason at all.
In today’s funeral for George Floyd there was "not one reference to hatred or revenge. It was all about love and justice," says Dr. @CornelWest.
"The Floyd family lifted up that spiritual moral banner in the midst of a moment in which we got all of the lies and crimes." pic.twitter.com/un1CtmXGFj
If I was a 16 yr old lad dealing with a few challenges in life and I found out my Dad was openly talking about me and these challenges, worts ‘n’ all, on a public forum. I’d feel let down by him and possibly quite f$$ked off about it.
The Sick boys should stop poncing about and get back to the basics of running a business. Step back from the internet, get their sh!t together and sort their customers out.
As for the Trademark ‘issue’. Look at registering “Sick Corp” and “Sick Bicycle Co” and select the relevant classes (eg Bicycles Class 12)
Based on recent experience I can highly recommend Squarespace. A nice selection of templates, easy to customise, easy to use, great support and tons of help and advice elsewhere online. Templates, hosting, domain and support all in one tidy package.
I’ve used WordPress a few times over the years and Squarespace is a doddle in comparison.
