Possibly one of the first people to ever backflip a bike. For that alone he has legendary status.

2 hours ago the OP posted it would be 2.5 hr wait. Odds are he would have been looked at by now and found out exactly what the issue and subsequent treatment is. Yet he’s still on here being impotent. FFS it’s just a short wait in a hospital.

I’ve had several times outs lasting months over the years. Firstly, accept the fact you’ll be out of action for a while. Then focus your efforts on building yourself back up, aiming to be even stronger than before. It’s a great opportunity to work on areas that have been negelcted and fine tune a few things,, in my case muscle imbalance, diet, & flexibility . A good Physio is a great help, physically and mentally.

    Good luck.

I’d say that’s in very good nick, when you consider how old it is. Price seems reasonable.

xcgb – old school bmx is very collectable.

I’d opt for brush and find the least harmful treatment there is. There is no way I’d be spraying and inhaling that crap. As well as polluting the garden and it’s wildlife. Moody business.

Vinyl wrapped cars – there’s a bimbo down the road with a Louis Vuitton wrapped range rover. Bint!
White people with dreadlocks. Jah I & I, you are not a rastafari
People who wear tight ankle chinos, no socks and deck shoes – you are not original, you are a clone!
Private number plates. What purpose do they serve other than saying the owner is a knob!

Man in car – “Fancy f–king dying today”
Me – “Go on then big man, knock me off my bike and kill me. Show your wife and kids how hard you are”

All because he couldn’t over take me because of a traffic island.

Even when he could get by, he continued along side making threats to harm / kill me. This caused a bit a traffic jam and the police turning up. Sadly as soon as he saw them he was off.

My two kids (3 & 5) have recently had slap cheek syndrome aka fifths disease. Each had a fever followed by very red cheeks and a rash on their body and arms. Our eldest’s school said there is loads of it going about.

3 weeks ago i had a fever come on very quickly with a complete loss of energy. Took to my bed for 5 days with a temp of 39. Also became anaemic. After the fever came a rash all over my body, at times insanely itchy. The last week I’ve had very sore joints and again no energy. I’ve not felt this rubbish since getting glandular fever 30 years ago.

At the same my friend’s ten year old son got fifths disease and ended up in ICU having three blood transfusions.

It does seem the older you are the worse it can be.

Poor kid probably got laughed at down the skate park / trails for having: a bell, reflectors all over the place, chain guard and a front brake.

My kids are 5 & 3. We had a great family holiday in Morzine last year, so much so we’re going back again this August.

I managed to fit in a 3 hour ride most days, leaving plenty of time for the wife and kids.

Lots to do; horse riding, climbing, rope courses, rafting, Lake Montriond, swimming pool, family street events, day trip to lake Geneva, tennis, golf, luge, ice skating, chilling out etc etc.

    Eating out = very expensive.

Not wanting to contribute to the political / economic debate. I would like to say I’ve lost all faith in politics. No matter who you or I vote for it makes no difference. Politicians today are all the same, power crazed and bent.

Somewhat selfishly I’m gonna concentrate of what’s best for my family, me and the people I employ. This is where I / we can make a difference.

Don’t put any pressure on yourself, it’s your first race. Pre race nerves are normal, recognise them for what they are. Once riding the actual race it’s inevitable that you’ll start ‘racing’ someone else, maybe just maybe it will be for credible placing. Go and enjoy it! The feeling you get once in the race is unbeatable.

Check out: mxtrax.co.uk – enduro forum

If you’re new to bikes try a practice track or enduro school, there are plenty of them about. If you’re based in the South check out Rogers Hill Raceway, Bere Regis http://www.rogershill.co.uk/raceway/

Another excellent facility down in Devon, Wheeldon Off Road http://www.wheeldontwo.co.uk/

Please, for the good of the sport, don’t go riding anywhere you shouldn’t (even if it is hush hush)

RD I’m guessing it’s David Knight who you’re wondering about. DK didn’t have hip replacements but he did have double hip surgery for impingement.

In the Etape if your average speed is too slow you’re in danger of being swept up by the broom wagon. Oh the shame of it. Have a flat or two, lose some time, then the pressure’s on.
