Ah, I see. I think if I could get away with removing the 11t cog I’d do that, seeing as I’ll be going up to 32t chainring from a 28t. I prefer the closer ratios anyway.
    POSTED 5 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

This completely defeats the point, you have used a range expander to not expand you range and spent money to achieve nothing. You would have the same as an 11-36 with a smaller chainring.

Laugh it off now but wait until they start only selling 27.5/29er specific cakes in all trail side cafés.
    Then the revolution will come.

Some drivers don’t know or care what is a safe distance to overtake. A couple of weeks ago I was on the way to a hospital appointment in a medical services transport transit connect when the driver passed a cyclist with literally half inch to spare.
When I pointed out his driving was piss poor he said don’t criticise my driving then refused to acknowledge me for the rest of the way there or back.

on your mtb set your bar height independently of saddle height. afterall when control is required most you should be stood up.

But you set your saddle up in relation to your pedal/cranks so using your saddle as a marker to set your bars you are indirectly setting your bars in relation to your standing position.

people usually expect for the vets to undertake and dispose of the remains at our own cost.

Since the advent of the pet insurance driving extortionate vet fees that then necessitated pet insurance vicious circle you vets are richer than the queen.

I have had my vet for many years and has always been brilliant but I hate turning up for an appointment to find she has the day off and I get a temp, because I know I am in for a hard sell that would put the most hardened timeshare salesman to shame.

The last time I took my dog for his injections my actual vet hit me with the hard sell and I felt genuinely offended and as I walked out with my free sample of chicken toothpaste that went straight in the bin I nearly vowed to change vets there and then.

I had two serious crashes two years ago where my front wheel washed out, and on reflection put this down to after adding a dropper, dropping and buzzing the back wheel with my butt at every opportunity. And not down to my stupid useless minion which I first blamed, now I try not to use the dropper unless I really think my under carriage will take a beating and try to stay as forward as I dare.
Now I am waiting to have a serious OTB from overweighting the bars. 😀

Will 90% of the bike buying public care? No
    98%.

I beg to differ, most of the mountainbikers I see locally are all about performance, Lycra clad racing snakelike strava’ites.

Will anyone win any xc races on 3″ tyres, will anyone win any DH races on 3″ tyres, will anyone win any enduro races on 3″ tyres.

If not it will only be marketed as a fun’ish trail bike for people who like to be extra.

If it does win any of the above races they may actually take off as the next big thing replacing the last big thing.

12 years drug free me, proper drugs that is as currently supping a wee Glennfiddich.
Had a friend who decided it was time to knock the crack pipe on the head after mistakenly smoking a Rice Krispy that he found on the floor under the settee while looking on the off chance he dropped a bit.

I have a set in 26 that I am yet to fit.
Did a lot if googling before buying and found plenty of people quick to slag them off, but, every one of them had never actually owned a set.
Also found plenty of praise from, you guessed it, people who actually had.
    Go figure.

So bought them, and will fit in the spring.

I thought I would have the same problem going from a 100mm hilo to a 125mm reverb due to my short legs.
I don’t know about the thompson but on the hilo the gap between the bottom of the saddle clamp section of the post and the saddle rails is quit large and found there was not a great deal in the overall length of the reverb and hilo when inserted the maximum amount.

It was a few mm which I quickly got used to as running it short of fully raised would be a faff.

Did he buy himself a new iPad and give his old one to your wife as he new she would make good use of it.
Or did he buy your wife a new iPad but greed got the better of him and thought better of it.

Did he tell your wife he would buy her one but instead gave her his old one.
And did he give her his old one in the new ones packaging which would take the piss because open wrapping paper “new iPad” open box “oh, er thanks dear”.

    Thanks for your replies.
My freind had his first bout of seizures two months ago after a fall where he suffered a peg fracture.
The cause we were told was low calcium levels. He then suffered another bout last week of which we were told the cause was very low magnesium levels this time.
He has since been discharged with adcal and the phenytoin.

The sedation is an added liability with his yet to heal neck injury.

    He’s in watford.

Is it a pair of 40″ waist PVC trousers with the arse cut out and the top half of the front end of a pantomime horse.

Nick I found your magazine and it was ruined, no one is getting into that bad boy without a steam genie and a large palette knife.

I as a youth and young man used to do shit loads of drugs, every thing bar Heroin.
It got to the point I was doing cocaine every day amongst other things and got by on an hours maybe two hours sleep a night for months and months while holding down a job. I eventually lost the plot and spent two weeks in a psychiatric hospital with a diagnosis of drug induced psychosis. The first time I found myself stood in the medication que in a psychiatric hospital was the most sobering moment of my life.

For eight months I took antipsychotics and I was “disabled”.
I was “disabled” of my own doing (see where I am going here).
But I was not written off as disabled and left to my own devices.
I was treated and helped to be well again. That was over ten years ago and touch wood 99.9999999 sane.
As much as I would love to get off my tits in a basement club so hot there is sweat dripping of the walls to a base line that reverberates your rib cage, I know I will never have that pleasure again as I value my sanity and non disabled status too much.

So If you are going to pass a fat person as disabled, you cannot leave it there, as their disability can be remedied.
You have to do what it takes to not make them stick thin necessarily but to the point the weight does not cause them to be disabled And their disabled status can then be revoked.

Solo, there are many overweight people who are happy, I am one of them, although I would be happier if I was slimmer, as as I am I feel my age (40) two years ago when I was 13stone lean and running every other day I felt 21.

But we are not talking about chubby people here we are talking people who are so overweight they are physically disabled, how many of them are happy to be their size.

Everyone can help being overweight by reducing there calorie intake, if they cannot do that alone they should be able to seek professional help to do do,

Not be funded to stay overweight .
An ambulance was called for my friend with the broken neck last week as he had seizures at the rehab center.
The paramedics arrived and said” where do you expect me to take him, watford general is full” I expect you to take him to hospital, “I repeat watford is full”.

Rome is burning as far as the NHS is concerned, if people are overweight they need to be helped to lose that weight and not signed off as disabled have some benefits for being overweight, sorry disabled.

A paraplegic has no say in his immobility, an overweight person does.

Obesity can be a product of a cycle of depression- physical health problems, and/or addiction. This is often disabling and isn’t always just a matter of pulling one’s socks up. Problem is with black and white laws is applying them to grey areas.

I will not disagree with you, but what’s with all the fat kids, when I was at school there was one fat kid in my year, all the rest of us were like racing snakes. Now come school kicking out time the streets are awash with porkers.
    They all cannot be depressed.

I am a fat bastard, does that mean I am safe to call other fat bastards fat bastards.
I have not entered the relms of being physically disabled by my fat bastardness.

My weight gain was initially triggered by meds, after a couple of years I decided to change and dropped 4 1/2 stone.
I then picked up an injury and put 3 stone back on.

I am fat due to snacking, simple as.
When I lost weight I did it by eating three healthy meals a day and nowt else.
Since slipping back into fast food and snacking between meals it went back on.

To lose this weight again now I need to want to be slim more than I want to eat fast food, if not I will stay fat.

I tested some dual compound performance line muddy Mary’s with a durometer in the summer and they read 68a on the center tread and 60 on the outside.
It was pretty hot in the loft where they were and all the maxxis 60a tyres were reading 58 so I am guessing the DC Mary’s were closer to 70/62a in normal conditions.

The performance line refers to the cheaper carcass itself.
