Once when asked by a friends mom to fix something, what I can’t remember. I asked her if she had any needle nose pliers. After explaining what they were she went away to the kitchen and came back with a set.
Then asked what I had called them again and was suprised that that was what they were called as she had always thought they were woman’s pliers.

Since picking up my car I have googled how much all parts charge for the parts, that’s would charge me (I am sure quick fit would get a discount).

I have been well and truelly mugged off, i am angry with myself knowing I am now officially the manager of my local quick fits bitch.
While one guy was ringing up for parts pricing and the manager turned to me and said “for that it’s going to be expensive” why did I not walk out then. I have been played like a fiddle.

Sat in the waiting room of my psychiatrist listenining to a man tell the woman next to him that his voices had started having staring competitions.

I saw on the news a flat with identical cladding fitted by the same company. What I hadn’t realised before this is the new windows are moved outwards flush with the outside face of the cladding effectively putting the cladding inside of the flat.

The flat had an extra wide plastic internal window board capping the extra width of the wall created by the cladding and extra wide plasterboard reveals around the inside of the window. Now I take it that what is effectively the end grain of the cladding around the windows is capped with som sort of fire stop, if not it’s no surprise that the fire found its way easily in to the interior of people’s flats from the blazing outsides.

We are told our fire service can be streamlined because these days fewer and fewer homes have open fires, but a fireman on the radio earlier said that fire risk is now becoming greater due to all the battery powered tech we now have in our homes that need charging.

I have a smoke alarm in the kitchen but keep meaning to buy another for the landing.

Not only has it spread the fire but has rained down on the firefighters making their lives harder.
