    Just an update,

I had no luck freeing it up with the forks on the bike so I took them off and stripped them down.

With the rebound damper out I applied some WD40 to both ends of the adjuster barrel and left it to soak, no movement.

I put the adjuster knob back into the barrel and gave it a couple of sharp taps with a mallet, still no movement.

Ended up figuring it’s knackered anyway so a quick dose of heat from the hot air stripper won’t do any harm (on the low heat setting), lo and behold it freed it all up!

So if anyone else out there is struggling hopefully this may help before you shell out for a new assembly.

    You’ll love it.

Every corner I went round was a wow moment, stunning scenery.

Drove 3000km in 10 days on the South Island and can honestly say that I’d get out the car after a long day driving and still be able to do it all over again, the driving is just so much more relaxed over there.

Take your time, take it all in, remember the right turn rule and have the time off your life.

Ok guys, I’ll get at them with the lube and see if I can free it up, if not I might be sending them your way LoCo!

    Cheers!

Bridge to Terabithia. Virtually the rest of the film after Leslie dies.

Off to open up a can of man…

No problems here either, was a fresh install then mapped to my old 3.6 profile and Robert’s your father’s brother.

Yeah, I’d like to try the 24/12, Rich – the larger of our trio, did it last year and really enjoyed it.

Alas I will be out of action then as I’m due a knee op shortly before but I may well come down to watch.

There are just over six weeks left until the booking, it’s in St. Agnes in Cornwall.

It’s a lovely looking spot and I’d still like to go but I can’t bankroll it on my own!

Cheers for all the advice, I’ll go and see if I can appeal to the owner’s better nature…

Defo, we’ll be back for sure!

Never made it to Cwmcarn unfortunately as we were near dead the next day – not quite as fit as you XC race whippets!

But a great excuse to come back again!

I’ll second that (been lurking round these parts for a while admiring all the inspirational work).

What’s that you’ve used for the windshield/cone slugwash?

I’m a fan of the bender fender, keeps the majority of the dirt and filth off my face and fits subtly on the bike.

Spacehopper – That twin triple looks pretty impressive, can you give any more details on it?

Really. Just as good IMO, a natural successor?

Saying that, he can’t be that much younger than Attenborough!

I’ve got Mary’s on my 456, they’re great for climbing as slugwash said, can’t explain why, but I do find them a bit more difficult to use on really gnar radcore stuff than the riser bars I had previously.

I would like to try some Ragley Carnegie’s though as they are wider and the angles seem to be a bit more relaxed.

We’ve just taken our daughter out of her first nursery, she was only in for a couple of weeks but my partner got a nagging feeling that things weren’t right, just didn’t seem like a very personal (or professional) service which we felt it should be.

We’re moving her to a childminder who can only ever care for a maximum of four children and we’re hoping for a more personal experience from that.

Had you considered a childminder over a nursery hora?

    I wear 661 Filters on DMR V8s.

I love the shoes and wouldn’t change them for anything else but I would like to upgrade the V8s to something a bit thinner and lighter like the Superstars, the V8s work fine they’re just a bit on the bulky side.

Troutie, payment sent for LED kit – many thanks.

BCT, could I order a driver kit please? If there’s a choice between two and three way I’d rather have a three way (insert appropriate innuendo here!), and if you haven’t already placed your order with digikey could I add a 2x 18650 holder and a 4x 18650 holder please.

    Cheers guys!

This looks like a great little project, looks like I’ve arrived at the bar after last orders though!

Trout, is there any chance you’ll be putting in another order to cutters in the near future or would you be able to post part nos. up so I could order the leds and reflectors myself?

I've been working on something similar myself with an Inbred, I had to concede defeat when it came to forks and groupset, going with Rockshox and Shimano but I did buy the forks second hand so I think I get kudos for recycling! – I think there's a pun in there somewhere. I've also opted for Panaracer rubber, DMR and Halo both do their own but I fell in love with those red side walls and binned my morals! I'm using some second hand wheels at the moment but plan to get some hope hubs mounted onto halo rims using halo spokes. I use Green oil and eco-grease for lube and muc-off to clean – eco cred and it supports british businesses.

I hope this gives you some inspiration.
