Sky +1 can’t say I have ever been a Murdoch fan but his recent twitter outbursts are making him more odious and intolerable.

    Northern Fail

Morrisons. When will they ever have a fully stocked store where I live? Despite provided photographic evidence nothing has changed.

    Vodafone.

The link did not work. And I have not posted re this before, And if it was a post about suspicions etc my ex did not involve himself in the mtb world. Didn’t get it. All that money and mud and riding up hill. The canal was as far as he got.

He’s moved out in August has we wanted diff things. And yes we are both on the mortgage. The backstory was to explain the sudden insistence on my moving out.

Well there is some truth in the headline. I did in a previous role. But that was due to working for a company who had excellent flexible working but bad implementation. After a bout of redundancies a team of 12 had 5 part time workers (not all due to children btw) with 3 off Thus and Friday. But the workload wasn’t necessarily part time and there were still deadlines to be met. So every Wednesday the full time childless women bar one man, would take on their work to get things done Thursday and Friday. Which inevitably cause resentment. But at heart it was the management to blame for allocating the part time hours and workload. But childless women can suffer.

And don’t open the can of worms of who can be off over Christmas.

Thanks everyone :-). Will defo be trying some on before buying. Liking the feedback re Scarpa and wide short feet. But shall see what they are like after a fitting.

I do mainly hill walking in the pennines and am out at least 3 times a week with the dog on long walks. And have found that two pairs of Raichle and then Brasher didn’t hold up durability wise. My current pair of Raichle the bits of the sole stared coming away from just under a year of wearing. So may also look at the Berghaus and see how they fit.

    Cheers

More worryingly the aioli has vanished from the dip section of the said supermarket.

On a 02 plate Punto. Onboard computer went after 18K fixed under warranty. Few years later had complete engine power lost, computer diagnostics found nothing so dealership put it down to new spark plugs being needed. Which to be fair worked.

Since September we’ve had the car for a total of 3 weeks as the computer keeps on packing in or something else. It has lost power whilst ambling along (was luckily only on the way to Morrisons rather than on the motorway) or it just won’t start.

In favour, for a 1.2 it’s v nippy off the lights and copes fairly well for the steep hills round these parts.

BUT it’s utter crap for demisting – which is a major issue for this climate, and is not a massive fan of cold mornings. And they now make a timely reminder of maybe why the Italian economy is about to collapse.

Would never buy one again. Rather go for an older plate second hand car of another manufacturer.

In May I switched from a Marketing campaign role internally to our Change Dept as a Project Analyst and am beginning to see the banality of it all. Especially the chasing of actions and setting up meetings. And am now wondering how the hell do I get back into Marketing.

Thought it would be interesting given the amount of change my organisation was going through, and to gain a few more skills given that marketing jobs can be quite scarce.

Learnt a valuable lesson the grass isn’t always greener.

10 people in a carriage! That’s because down south has all the carriages. It really is grim up north with those Northern Fail pacer units and standing (on one leg) room only. 😮

I only jest. It’s just I don’t do pubs where people feel the need to wear high heels at night time.

I lived there for 7 years with no issues. But if you look like anytown in the UK you’ll be sure to find it if that’s what you’re into 😀

    For Tod

    1. Bare Arts brewery. For locally brewed beer and good banter with Trevor and Cathy the owners.
    2. Three Wise Monkeys for tasty Thai food and beers such as Anchor Steam beer and Sierra Nevada.
    3. Polished Knob. Always have a selection of guest ales. But best early doors before the local wildlife come out

I’ve only just got into them, after my mate kept on saying I should listen to them and go and see them when they are next touring. Which I kinda ignored for the best part of a year.

Wasn’t really convinced by the recommendation at first as it is not the usual thing I listen too. But yep am a big fan. Think Blackwater Park is my fave album. Not got the new album yet. But looking forward to seeing them at Manchester Academy on the 11th Nov.

Thanks all. First step is going to take a few days hol. Have just come to an end of a major job am working on. So shall take advantage of some time to think things through and decide a course of action and do enjoyable stuff like riding. And then see if I can face work or not and whether I should go to the docs.

I know I can’t carry on like this. As just dealing with the usual ups and downs of the job is getting to me.

Whilst I see the point about my boss not realising but I am a believer that even if inexperience you still have a natural way with people. And they haven’t. First managerial role and they are more concerned with further career progression. So any failings on my behalf and a whiff of me not achieving my objectives will somehow affect them.

Anyway thanks again as it’s just nice to hear some support and the going to the docs is not such a bad thing.

Talking of the PB. Does anyone know why on the new ‘smoothed’ out sections there are what appear to be speed bumps? Over the last year have notice them appear on the way down to Callis Bridge, Nr Jack Bridge and Hurtswood Reservoir Seems pointless to me 1. Over time with use and the heavy rainfall the region gets they will be flattened. 2. Riders will just jump over them anyway.

Depends what food you’re after. Try this web site, manchester confidential if you register you’ll be able to get some money off vouchers. Eg the Hilton is doing an offer for £20. A cocktail in the Cloud 23 bar and then a 2 course meal in the Podium restaurant. Worth it for the views and you don’t have to queue to get into the bar

+1 to heard it all before. Yawn. People have a choice either buy their stuff or not. Delve deep enough into any company and I'm sure there'll always be something someone doesn't like. It's a balance isn't it?

It's the chain rings as well. To replace Raceface ones I was quoted £35 ea. So it seems to make sense to buy a new chainset.

Smugness and innocence indeed. So it wasn't the bigotted and prejudiced colonialism and missionaries that have left a long lasting idea of the supposed 'hetrosexual norm'?

And the alternative to oppo is going to be different? Right or wrong liberalism will have a different meaning in diffrent countries. And I can assure you right now for Zimbabweans the No1 priority is the removal of Mugabe. After that a stable democracy can look at equality for all once everyone can have a voice.

I've just upgraded to X2s and so far I've been impressed. Last ones were Juicy's which were ****. What I like about the X2s is the adjustable leaver and bite point.
