Or the other way around, a 142 or 135 frame and a boost fork.

Cant you make it so only people who follow you can see you rides etc? I’m sure that’s how I’ve got mine set. Then only accept people as followers who you know and trust.

The leapord print blanket has been a source of much contention in our house. It used to live in the lounge (I inherited it when I married my wife). She would often wrap herself in it like some sort of human burrito in an evening when watching telly if the ambient temperature fell anywhere below about 22.6 degrees exactly. Strange behaviour!

It’s now in the garage to be put on the floor when working on muddy bikes… much better. The new burrito style wrap is a much more amicable plain cream colour. God knows how she still has cold feet when she gets in bed though???

No it’s a barbell. If you look it also has a similar weight near the handlebar. Its to give everyone else a sporting chance of climbing with me.

Need to up the weight though as I overtook a guy on an ebike today going up a 1 in 4 gradient. This was after only 150 miles in the saddle though so I was pretty fresh still.

Yes plenty of problems with painted floor despite using proper garage floor paint.

I ended up doing it a second time as the first started to scuff and sweat concrete. That’s when I put the stable matting down. I also sourced.from gumtree a load of old mirrored sliding wardrobe doors and mirrored the entire gym side.

You can see what the stable matting floor looks like here….

incidently that GT is for sale.for £40

Concrete sweats dust. I’d paint the walls with masonry paint to stop them making everything dusty.

Flooring.. on mine I did garage floor paint and then used stable matting (12mm thick) to create a gym/workshop floor. Its stinks.of rubber to high heaven for about 8 weeks and then the smell goes completely.

Are you using a heart rate monitor? Be interesting to look at how intensely you are working.

If you’ve dropped a lot of fitness you might be working up in zone4 without realising trying to ride at previous intensities etc. That’s going to create a lot of recovery needed.

I thought that’s what people might say. The size chart says 6ft+ for large but as a brand they used to size up really small.

Anyone want to buy a re-welded medium Soda?

Cheers Dave, yes that was me. Big help thank you.

Do you have 29s or 27.5+ in yours?

Let me get this straight… some people are going 1x but then leaving a granny ring on but not bothering with a mech and shifter!!!!

Fashion gone crazy, surely this is 2x but with the inconvenience of having to get off and physically move the chain!

As above. Long slow steady one at the weekend and some shirter sharper rides in the week. Joe Friel cycle training bible is a good read if you’ve got time. Brought my riding on leaps and bounds.

Rest properly the week before the 100 too to perform best.

    What hubs have you got?

Wolf tooth boostinator was the best solution when I looked for a pro11. Need to relish the wheel to use one.

Haven’t CRC got xt for £300? At such a small difference in price I’d stump up for the xt.

Sounds like limit screws to me if it’s indexing right but playing up in largest sprocket.

I’ve got a mixture on various bikes. Was just wandering where it will stop.

I’ve got 2×11 on the road bike (great range of gears)

1×11 on the trail bike (lacks a bit of a really easy skinny gear for long technical climbs)

2×9 on a hardtail for mucking about on in flats.

2×10 on my xc race type hardtail (love this gear set up but it does sometimes drop a chain).

Yeh it’s a mk1 and it’s definitely 68mm. Thanks guys, 1 spacer each side is what I kind of figured as they are 2.5mm each.

Could be broken outer cable housing somewhere? Check where the ferrules are, if it’s cracked and can compress the it basically dampf the effect of the inner pulling.

They look really nice. I much prefer the monocoque ones to the drainpipes like exotic.

    Definitely a possibility

Do you know if it could have taken a 650b with a small tyre like a racing ralph 2.1?

Thanks for that, I’m going to get it welded though as I paid less for the frame than I would have done for a Cotic Soul which I was on the look out for, well worth repairing if it comes in under a ton. Cheers anyway.

No I haven’t asked Cotic actually, not a bad plan!

That Honzo ti looks really nice. Any mother suggestions for a slightly more aground style 29er frame/bike?

    chilled76

Yeh I was just going to leave the clamp permanently attached.

Yes 150mm revs are overkill definitely, I had dreams of using it for trail centres etc but I always reach for my full suss for those types of outings

Yes, I had considered this… new frame fork wheels and headset can often come to the same price as a whole new bike though. It is an option.

Before I spank £330 on a Garmin for the bike, are there any other suggestions for apps that do this well?
