I’ll be giving one of these a go on the misuses little run around.

Got one of the mechs to try with 11 and 10 speed. Someone on here said it can’t be used for 11 speed, we’ll see!

The Pinned TV guy was less than impressed with the quality/durability of the clutch and the placement of the switch which got damaged. So we will see how that goes.

Good to see bikes getting what they deserve.

Wow! Such a nicer sound than some shitty rock music too!

I think you know what’s coming!

This one hit wonder got resurrected in 2022 as Baddest Of Them All (thought about remixing it myself years ago)!

Probably the pinnacle of the French touch. Got those offbeat guitar licks synonymous with Disco and Reggae.

Gorgio Moroder did some fabulous stuff and it was great Daft punk recognised him on random access memories

He did. The cheesy pop hit Electric Dreams has had a resurgence in popularity!

Said it years ago. Every thread is a potential Brexit thread to a handful of posters on here.

Seems to be the same warring factions who have poisoned most forms of social media with their old media agendas and tactics. Saturation bombing, intentional misinterpretation and railroading.

I expect it will ramp-up as the most overrepresented generation ever, once again pull out their sousaphones, email death threats and fap themselves silly on their online hearts and minds mission come the next GE.

And then there’s these. Which can be had for 40-45, decent quality and have a grease port!

yes – for good clinical reasons. Large A&E depts in large general hospitals are much better for major trauma

Sure. But funnelling more patients through facilities without increasing capacity sufficiently seems like gambling on things not going wrong!

Correct me if I am wrong but haven’t successive governments shut smaller A&E departments all over the country. Concentrating more patients through the larger hospitals, without increasing capacity to the same as what was lost to these centralisation/cost cutting measures.

The local hospital to me takes patients from the edges of two neighbouring counties that used to have their own A&E departments. Last time I was there (a few years back) I had to go to the reception to get help for lady who was sat in a puddle of piss in the waiting room, I was treated in a corridor! I know of two other children’s hospitals in neighbouring Lancashire that were closed/reduced capacity with the patients sent to St Marys instead.

    40 Hospitals eh…remember that!

    He’s trying his best.

    They’re all liars anyway.

There’s no such thing as homeless just organised begging gangs.

Foodbanks. If they didn’t spend all their money on drugs, fags, booze, apps and subscriptions.

They are going to let them all in.

Bloody vegans harassing farmers out of business.

Greedy unions trying to bankrupt the country again.

Kids can’t move out until their forties, nice rental income though. Everyone rents in Europe.

    Oooo that man.

Just a flavour of the rehearsed stock answers the believers repeat. Obviously they are not wrong or responsible for the consequences they voted for, what kind of **** would own up to that!

Hybrid ‘Disappear Here’ is my favourite album of all time. Definitely worth a listen if anyone hasn’t heard it.

Both Hybrid and Distinctive Records have pedigree. There was loads of ahead of it’s time stuff!

Wide Angle is a great album, Dreaming Your Dreams my favourite track.

Own Sweep Roughcuts. Good no nonsense kit I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and are IMO the best long term VFM on the market!

When the Roughcut dampers first came out they were up there with the best, now a bit more middling. They still offer decent damping and well proportioned air chambers out of the box. Something RS took many revisions to improve with their 35mm forks!

From my experience and what I’ve seen from other riders, X-Fusion forks seem to handle abuse and lack of servicing better than the big names.

Are you getting the best most sophisticated damping profile in the business no. But it’s only a notch or two down and you are getting amongst the least hassle and most reliable air forks out there!

Make it abundantly easy to use public toilets. It’s not beyond the wit of man. If you are going to rely on the private sector to provide public facilities, at least give them a tax break for maintenance. Standardise designs and fittings. Mandate businesses of certain sizes and type to provide facilities, preferably in entrances to buildings. Mandate toilet facilities for every x-amount of miles of motorway/A road (something practical not ridiculous, not just services either) with clear massive signs to a national standard everybody understands!

How about standardised public bathroom designs. Effectively tiled/panelled rooms with a metal pot and drain in the middle of the floor, that can be hosed down from the doorway, making it easier to clean/maintain.

Instead of solutions we get the typical cheap and nasty British answer of closing and selling off public toilets, then getting the police in to make it a minor criminal matter. The petty small-minded adult babies in this country would rather ague over bullshit newspapers tell them is important, wars thousands of miles away, civil rights issues in other countries that have nothing to do with us, than practical solutions to problems that could improve everyone’s experience of living in this shithole country.

    Whoa what’s all this:

    Black sounds good!

Now let me help this is the right answer:

    Colour

Purple with yellow accents, do it. Even makes sense of the yellow Maxxis logo!

I’m a year round soft Mary man myself ;) Great front tyre for UK conditions and trails, which works on the rear as well. It does slop reasonably well but isn’t the best of the best!

Slop needs deep, well spaced, square edged treads with no ramps. I can see why Maxxis changed (only slightly) the lateral bar part (is now two narrow spaced blocks) of the old Shorty tread. Effectively making it less biased toward a driving wheel/rear wheel of a bike, where paddle treads (often alternating for MTB tyres rather than the full tread pattern) can be favourable.

If you was to go Shorty front and rear, ideally you would want the old Shorty tread pattern on the rear and the new tread pattern on the front!

I use a Topeak DXG. It has a more accurate scale (5 PSI increments) on the gauge than the generic ones, which are usually 10 PSI increments. Useful for small volume air shocks or forks like Mattoc Pros!

Not used a digital pump yet. I would assume they are even more accurate down to 1 PSI but with the downside of being prone to damage and the inconvenience of the battery running out.

RRP are just there to hype the market and attract investors.

Most MTB stuff is lavishly overpriced, sometimes the cardinal sin of overpriced and dog shit quality to boot!

Aren’t Rapha mostly just priced to sell to the money to burn “we like nice things” customers.

@Kelvin He’s no flash in the pan, he’ll be the biggest thing in electronic music by the end of this year. Proper party vibe that appeals to both sexes, unlike some DnB which can turn into a bit of a bro fest out darking each other!

Biggest name on the scene. Covers multi genres, re-licks most of the tracks in his sets, has got the emotional and euphoric balance on lock.

Let’s not talk about freehub seals. The cheapest part of the hub, Halo and the likes don’t supply. They will of course sell you a new freehub or internal seal that doesn’t wear out at anywhere near the same frequency.

If you can get bushings and bearings from a local supplier outside the piss taking **** industry it’s the best way!

Yes it’s repairable. I repaired mine with a lever from SJS.

There’s a tiny metal clip which holds the lever in place (a few mils wide), don’t lose it!

A tiny smear of driveshaft moly grease on the clutch barrel and grease the housing seal to help stop water getting in. If the adjustment band bolt has been undoing itself (the clutch loses resistance over time) put a tiny bit of blue Loctite on it’s thread.

If it’s Syntace X12 (would need to see the ends) DT swiss do standard bolts and QR lever versions. So do Specialized and loads other own branded ones.

    Novatec

I use one for a Spec Stumpy/Camber in a Cube Stereo. Cube do own branded one’s but the Spec one was cheaper at the time!
