Peter Andre. Anthrax island would do or somewhere that has cannibals knocking about.

The ‘can I get?’ thing annoys me. It’s not just youngsters using this phrase now either???

Also, when people type brought instead of bought. Is this a southern thing?

I’d probably watch V again just for the smokin’ hot lizard lady.

Sorry if this objectifies lizard women.

I doubt Lewis would be in this position if he’d concentrated on f1 alone and gave the showbiz lifestyle a rest.

Maybe they could give him back his own pit crew for the race?

Spanner in the works and spy in the camp are both phrases that spring to mind when you think about this situation. Even Lewis is still perplexed by this decision.

Switching pit crews would be unthinkable in motogp.

Vettel was one of the drivers who helped bring in the ‘Verstappen rule’ so him pulling a Verstappen on Ricciardo could not go unpunished.

Totally agree with the need for gravel traps in F1 and motogp.

So much for the Michelin tyres suiting Rossi and the M1. I’ve never known him make so many unforced errors.

Fair play to Marc for being able to win so emphatically with a bike/tyre/electronics combination that has been causing so much grief for the other Honda riders.

Good idea to stick to short words. Maybe there’s a chance you’ll spell them correctly.
    Ok then. ****.

Pretty sure I spelt that right.

The quality of Merrell stuff doesn’t seem as good as it once was. I notice that SD have a lot of Merrell footwear on their site now.

I hope Mike Ashley hasn’t gobbled up that brand as well. Assuming MA has acquired this brand, the quality won’t be any better than his £15 to £20 Gelert offerings so there’s not a lot of point in forking out four times more on the Merrell stuff IMO.

Just Artex the lot of it yourself. Young hipsters love that kind of thing.

I felt bad for the rest of the field lining against Semenya. It looked like a clear case of taking a knife to a gunfight. 8O

This sounds daft but she hasn’t mixed her keys up, has she? This could explain why you can’t turn the key to remove the barrel.

Those doors can sag (particularly double ones) they also have an adjustable keep which can get knocked out of alignment – both of these issues can stop the key from turning when the door is closed.

They ruined the boxing when they did away with the points system.

The governing body say they conducted a study and found that there were fewer cases of concussion without head-guards. This would be more believable if the women also had to box without headgear. :?

Clare does annoy me at times but she does a decent job, all things considered. It took her a long time to get the public back onside after ripping on that jockey with the unfortunate teeth.

Hazel and her desperate yearning for a ‘gold-rush’ really does my swede in though. My enjoyment of the games doesn’t hinge entirely on Team GB’s medal haul.

Was thinking of doing similar the other day, but bending all the way down to the downtube to change gear is going to be well strange.

It’s not too much of a stretch if you can ride on the drops.

A cheap set of bar end shifters would be a decent STI alternative and they’d still look era-correct. No need to swap out your derailleurs etc. either with that setup :D

No, you are correct. They are racers.

All this new fangled gravel bike and audax/sportif bike nonsense is for old blokes, who are either too unfit or not flexible enough to ride a proper racer.

32t cassettes and compact chainrings do back up this notion somewhat. 42/52t FTW.

What’s your opinion on J. R. Hartley then NED? Bit of a wrong ‘un? Is fly fishing a euphemism for cottaging?

Are the boxers wearing headgear for this one? There was talk of them doing away with headgear a little while back. Seems a bit crazy to me but I understand there are pros as well as cons.

Cringing at the thought of Claire Balding trying to manufacture another Burt Le Clos moment. It was the spontaneity of the situation which made it so great so I hope she leaves well alone.

A decade? Double that at least.

How on earth did he manage to hold on to his septum when the likes of Daniella Westbrook’s etc. rotted away after a mere year or two on the toot?

Maybe it was down to the purity of the gear involved? You’d think a big-hitter like Bowie would have access to the creme de la creme of llello wouldn’t you?

+1 on Neil Hannon and I think Marc Almond did a decent job with his vocals on Life On Mars. I was expecting some Steve Strange car-crash sort of performance if I’m honest.

Why anyone thinks something as perfect as Life On Mars needs rearranging is another question altogether but it was an interesting evenings viewing as far as I’m concerned.

I do wish buyers would leave feedback as soon as they get their item.

It feels like they are holding back on it in case they want to have a moan about something several weeks down the line.

I always used to wait for a buyer to leave me feedback back in the days when sellers were allowed to leave buyers a negative, just in case I had to respond in kind. Those days are long gone and the eBay money back guarantee leaves sellers in a much weaker position should they encounter an awkward so and so.

Dave myers, the smug patronizing fake insincere git. His presenting style is like some bad playschool mock Geordie shite

I thought Si was the geordie one… Dude.

Naga Munchetty, don’t get me started on her presenting skills.

It looks like Mercedes have decided Nico should be given the title this year but the other driver hasn’t gotten the memo or has chosen to ignore it.

I’m sure Hamilton’s car will begin suffering from a lack of reliability until the points gap opens back up to a comfortable distance again.

… and nice to see the Suzuki running up at the front. Could have been a podium if he hadn’t binned it.

It’s a shame for Maverick but lots of much more experienced riders had problems with those mixed conditions so it’s hard to be too critical of the lad.

I can see young Maverick getting Jorge’s bike if he really does go to Ducati. Him and Rossi seem quite pally all of a sudden and his current boss at Suzuki is a close friend of Rossi. Smith is off to KTM and Pol will be lucky to keep his ride at Tech3, the way things are going.

    Stranger things have happened…

The big surprise was seeing Lorenzo go down with clear space all around him.

I’m not surprised at all, riding in mixed conditions is his only real weakness. He can be millimetre perfect on a dry track and he’s OK on a fully wet track but he doesn’t like trying to adapt to a situation where there are different levels of grip available.

I did enjoy Cal saying he ‘could’ have podiumed (sic) again were it not for his two falls. Okey dokey…

Iannone is in the doghouse again. Poor Dovi.

Rossi was fast on bike 1, such a shame he couldn’t make the 2nd bike work for him…

    Chest_Rockwell

Jorge won’t like this at all. He had the bike on rails when he was on his favoured Bridgestone edge-grip specials but some spoilsport took them away.

Rossi should be able to make a good fist of this race as he is good at adapting to low grip situations. It might rain anyway so all of this goes out of the window then…

Miller might get a good placing IF he can keep it on the black stuff. Big if, granted. Same applies to Cal…

It’s going to come down to who can make the Michelins work best for them IMO.

Lorenzo is a super-smooth rider but the Michelin doesn’t have the extreme edge-grip of the Bridgestone so I don’t know if he’ll be able to ride at his usual level over race distance. Rossi was always pretty good on worn tyres. The Ducati is a rocket ship which reminds me of the 2007 season but the new bike turns better so who knows what they can do…

I’m enjoying the Rossi vs. Lorenzo handbags. I thought he’d be making like difficult for Marc but Jorge seems to be the focus of his attention. I suppose the whole thumbs-down at Sepang, crying to race direction and the court case didn’t help.
