I can lend the OP a rather fetching orange boiler suit, if he fancies a trip over there to help calm the waters?

There are people out there who can’t even afford a bicycle. (maybe someone stole theirs?) How about lending one of these poor unfortunates one of your 5k bikes (conservative estimate) that is sitting in the garage doing nowt.

Instead of putting more money in to Hope’s coffers by adorning your bike with fancy coloured adornments, how about donating that money to a worthy cause?

Same with your second car or another one of your expensive electrical gizmos. Is Nescafe really that bad?

I had to work hard for these trinkets would be a standard response but you still have comparative riches beyond the reach of some, just not on the same scale as those faceless oligarchs .

How many bikes does Jezza own, anyway? Typical, bike-hogging champagne socialist.

Even if he went halves with you, he would still have got double what his wife valued the lot at.

Definitely not cricket IMO and you have every right to feel a bit miffed.

I’d probably be tempted to tell him where he should stick his £19, too..

One thing puzzles me… why would they wear fake bomb vests?

Suicide by cop is the only conclusion I can come up with. The police have little option but to take them out in this situation…

I really don’t like this, when your in a que into a venue to me it feels a bit black maily as (to me anyway, I feel a guilty if I don’t do it) with people directly behind me.

Didn’t like the road noise. Think it had 18″ wheels though.

I believe they had run-flats fitted, as standard, due to the lack of space for a spare wheel. This affects the ride, apparently.

So my sister reckons, anyway. :D

There’s at least 6 former F1 drivers racing IndyCar this year, and that’s just me looking at the lineup and trying to remember them by name.

Yeah, but Fernando is on a busman’s holiday so not quite the same thing IMO.

Not suggesting they’ll form a rolling roadblock, merely suggesting that his full-time opposition aren’t just going to roll over for him. :D

American professional racers won’t want some fancy-pants F1 driver turning up and beating them at their own game so he’ll have his work cut out IMO.

Whatever the context, this is just massively ignorant. Hang your head in shame.”

You need to check out the comment which prompted Wrightyson to clarify his position.

People were relaying reports of an explosion at the venue without pointing a finger at the possible perpetrators.

How can relaying such information be described as bigotry?

    Cougar – Moderator

There’s a million possible causes for an explosion, not all of them are down to brown people with beards and rucksacks. It’s entirely possible that it was a terrorist attack; equally, it could’ve been a faulty boiler.

    ^^^ this

Hard to take this in. When you think of all the risks he took on a 200mph motorcycle and he loses his life doing something comparatively mundane.

+1 Jack was unbelievably lucky to walk away from that IMO.

Jorge is having his edge-grip specials taken away from him from Mugello onwards so he’s lashing out at Jack and a rider with a lot of power (who could he possibly mean  ) for voting 20-3 in favour of using the stiffer construction tyre.

Pretty funny craic from Jack IMO.

Having similar issues myself. Been switching between 3 different chains and let them all get to .75mm of wear before deciding to go to a new chain and cassette setup. New chain ran OK on the large chainring but was noisy on the small chainring under load due to mismatched levels of wear.

(Old casssette has a lot of wear and won’t accept a new chain)

Only options for me are a new small chainring or put the old stuff back on and wear the lot out, then start from scratch with all new rings. (and jockeys)

Went with option B as i can get a lot more miles out of my setup, switching between 3 chains. Then I get a full new drivetrain which is better than having differing levels of wear on the chainrings.

Was it this guy? Reckons his is capable of 55mph. But you’ll have to fix it, to verify his claim. Got to be worth a punt at the princely sum of £1000.

Ok, thanks for all the replies. Will give them a shot.

I’ll check the widths of the top and bottom tacx pulleys. I only compared the shimano and tacx upper pulleys.

I got mine from Decathlon. Seemed like a steal at £7. :-)

    Chest_Rockwell

The tacx wheels are the same thickness as the (worn) Shimano ones, where the chain sits on them. 2.5mm measured with a caliper.

Such a basic thing for a manufacturer of an aftermarket part to ignore. Don’t even think I’ll bother fitting them, if my indexing is going to be affected…

^^^ They do have the washers but any play is eliminated when you tighten the Allen bolt.

I only bought them as they seemed good value for jockeys with stainless, sealed bearings. Beginning to think they might be pony.

I believe they have thin toothparts to allow some sideways chain moves. You could check this if you have both types to hand.

I see. Thanks for that. I’ll have a look. :-)

    Oops, Iannone did it again.

Somebody on a forum reckons he touched Marc’s rear wheel before he went down. Didn’t spot it myself. Guess I’ll have to catch the repeat on 5…

That was class. Why anyone bothers with F1, when you can watch racing like that, is beyond me.

Crutchlow? His excuse book is so vast, it needs it’s own caravan.

Was J-Lo trying to get the race cancelled? He didn’t look very happy, before it got underway.

It’s very expensive, for what it is, and I wasn’t impressed with the quality.

I got some really good U-Pol colour matched aerosols from a local auto paint specialist for less money and the quality was so much better. I’d try to find a local auto paint place and let Halfords crack on with the business of selling BSO’s to people.

Marc will take the title…… ironically by being the old hand, riding conservatively and taking the points.I’d never thought I’d say that about him

I agree with this, up to a point, but he will lose his s*** if someone takes him out again, like Rossi did in Argentina. (50-50 IMO BTW, but Marc believed it was deliberate and took his revenge once he was out of contention for the title)

    Popcorn at the ready…

Front wheel vs. rear wheel, rear wheel wins every time.

Rossi will struggle with practice/qualifying but pull it out of the bag come race time for podium finishes, unfortunately as much as I would like to see it I don’t think he can win in this year.

    .

For me, the ideal situation is for Vinales to take care of the title and for Rossi to derail Marc’s title challenge. It’s not against the rules, after all. Rossi hasn’t forgotten about 2015 and I’m sure he’d love to return the favour.

I can’t see Jorge beating Dovi, on the same bike, just yet. The Desmo is a tricky bike to ride, at the best of times, and Dovi is used to trying to nurse the bike home when the grip levels drop.

Think he’s trying to adjust to the new Michelin medium tyre which is supposed to be the tyre they will race on.

I’m sure he’ll find a decent setting for the race.

The Tech3 rookies went surprisingly well too.

Ducati aren’t using that hideous hammerhead fairing either. They had a good thing going with the wings but HRC helped get them banned on safety grounds, yeah right.

Both Yamaha riders have a point to prove with Marquez so, maybe, it’s his turn to be double-teamed.

Been watching the practice today, hooked already. :-)

Laura Kuenssberg just said (on daily politics) that the two plain clothes policemen who shot the attacker were Michael Fallon’s personal protection officers, not guards stopping people from entering the house, so it could have been a lot worse if they werent there looking after Mr. Fallon. 8O

One thing I don’t understand – was the cop not wearing an anti stab vest? All cops in Edinburgh do at all times.

They’re not a lot of use when some psychopath tries to behead you, unfortunately.
