Does the Rockguardz protector for over the existing feeble plastic motor cover and the small factory fitted down tube protector?

    Are you still using it?

Anyone tried the SKS Mudrocker rear mudguard?
Is it kinder to the frame and less heinous than the Mudhugger?

Hi Alex did your Ripmo come with the Ibis afterthought protector to go on the mud collector part of the swing arm above the lower pivot?

My Ripmo is on order for July hopefully…can’t wait!

Look up Ronnie Chard on strava, he’s out there at the moment been touring around for the last two weeks. It looks amazing for road biking I’m sure he’d be glad to help.

I’m booked for a week in Nov. going to be road riding with my wife, though I have also mountain biked therein the past as well. We have both been several times previously and its a brilliant area for doing both. Bikingandalucia are a very friendly small operator with great local knowledge and cater well to all abilities in what I’ve seen on previous trips. I’ve seen mostly mixed groups when on hols there & good times been had.
The local town Orgiva is a very laid back place for post ride beers & food in the evenings, it has an authentic feel of real Spain whilst catering for most needs just 5 mins walk from the accomodation. Obviously a recommend from me, i haven’t tried any of the other operators in the area to compare.

It’s black & white officially….All down to your morals on paying the tax.
You would most likely get away with it, I have in the past.

+1 with mbasiliare, Sedona also rocks (v red!) a serious contender to Moab for quality and quantity of amazing riding

Gunnison/Crested Butte, Durango, Cortez, Moab, Fruita makes an awesome road trip. stay in cheap motels to minimise expense. The riding is very different to European riding.
It’s reasonably easy to navigate routes with some research via Internet- print off routes in advance and use the very friendly local bike shops for advice. I’ve done two trips and just booked to return next Sept 🙂

I’d also agree with the above. Really great riding both MTB and amazing road riding, Orgiva is a good base, chilled small rural town with lots of bars.
The biking trips here are great value for money

Fruita: balanced rock motel, over the edge bike shop, hot tomato cafe-great pizzas. All within a short walk.
2 places to ride close to town, 18 road trails as mentioned above including a trail called zippidy do da, great fun. Also Kokopelli trails which include Mary’s loop, horse thief , Steve’s loop, more fun, as also mentioned above excellent trails.
I was out there 2 weeks ago in Moab, fruita, Cortez, Durango and crested butte. All have incredible riding

Just come back from States with two bike bags, no probs with customs….They were the same bikes I took out there, but never bother with proof of purchase. This is my second trip with bikes to the US and I have been doing 2 trips to Europe with bikes for last 7 years and have never been inspected.
I have previously bought a US bike from Competetive Cyclist this way-great customer service and no problems.

Had these for two years, very strong still running perfectly true. Great for running tubeless, only weakness would be in the hubs healing against British weather.

I’ve done 5 trips to BikingAndalucia, mixture of road riding and MTBing- both excellent.
Great weather year round, good for spring, autumn winter riding, gets v hot mid summer. The holiday package is probably one of the out there for value for money, always beer in fridge and plenty of cheap bars and restaurents to choose from in the small town of Orgiva, so good après can had if that’s your thing, or you can just chill be the pool.

Shea butter is the one of the key active ingredients in Cham lards, not in sudocrem, can be found in some much cheaper “body butter” products that do the job.

Building up a Whyte 19ti at the moment.
Do Ti frames need much frame protection, noticed one or two chain stay guards on the pics above, any thoughts?

Whyte 19, should have mine built up in 3 weeks, going for 120mm..ta to Dibbs & Messiah

Was basing my thoughts on the st mag review of titainium hardtails from aug last year.
They recommended 120mm for most stuff but a 140mm could be useful for more tecky steep stuff. I was thinking of a talas 140-110 fork or 150-120?

Umm interesting comments messiah, the mag review billed it as a longish travel bike possible suiting a 140-120 adjustable fork.
    ta for your thoughts fellas

so no problem going bigger than the suggested 120mm? I've got the Maverick Duc32's on a Whyte 46 & find they can dive a lot if not at right pressure

Gout excruciating! atheletes foot piece of p*ss in comparison. Think some confusion between uric acid & urea. urea used as a moisturizer, also has anti-fungal action & is a body waste product in urine… so logical pee on your toes!!

Most of the above posts rightish, its a fungal infection that needs to be treated with an antifungal…thats the rocket science! Feet hygiene important, I'd recommend daktarin or canestan cream twice daily plus a spray- Daktarin into shoes & socks.
keep treating for at least a week after skin back to normal to prevent reinfection, its a bugger for coming back again.
