As I remember the chain defaults to the smallest (outermost) sprocket and takes resistance to move to large (innermost) sprocket so does that make it low normal?

Ive had that combination throughout this year and been happy with it. Had high rollers both ends before that but found it lacked grip for climbing and quite draggy so the Xmark on the back was better as a compromise. Having said that we have had a dry year so far and I will probably be going over to mud tyres soon.

Just got into early Soft Machine and Kevin Ayers which havent dated too badly.
Unknown trails, preferably techy, downhill where you never know what is round the next bend but the adrenalin keeps building and you feel invincible.
