As I remember the chain defaults to the smallest (outermost) sprocket and takes resistance to move to large (innermost) sprocket so does that make it low normal?
I did say I was numpty.

What would happen if this forum had to actually make a decision about something? i.e like government or management do all day every day?
Due to the financial crisis this country can only afford to support one pedal format for mountainbike use.

Ive had that combination throughout this year and been happy with it. Had high rollers both ends before that but found it lacked grip for climbing and quite draggy so the Xmark on the back was better as a compromise. Having said that we have had a dry year so far and I will probably be going over to mud tyres soon.

Good call, great players and singers.
The Power and the Glory is a good album too. Ive tried listening recently and they don’t realy stand the test of time (not much prog rock does)
Just got into early Soft Machine and Kevin Ayers which havent dated too badly.

Unknown trails, preferably techy, downhill where you never know what is round the next bend but the adrenalin keeps building and you feel invincible.

I people don’t want to vote for any of the candidates then what is the point of insisting that they go to the polling station to tick a box?

It has taken me about 2 years to read “The Life and Times of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman” by Laurence Stearne
The most bizzarre book I have ever read and that’s saying something
Very hard work but strangely rewarding
