Depending on the line it may be easy enough to ride through gaps narrower than your bars

What DaveyBoy said is true, especially at the moment due to the combination of dusty trails and bluebells.
Woody should be able to sort you out, I might join you.

I took to using flats this winter as a good way of keeping my feet warm.
I am now wondering if I will go back to SPDs as I like the big platform feel of flat pedals.

Then the ship might sink onto the pipeline, smashing it up and causing a huge gas leak which might have devastating effects on the climate, and that….

I find my bell works very well on the towpath. Calderdale Councill have even gone so far as putting up posters with the slogan “Two Tings” encouraging bell ringing and er…maybe something else.
Its a shame there are no rabid ramblers lurking around STW waiting for a chance to dive in on these threads as they are depressingly one sided.
Maybe some of you ranters should find a suitable Rambling forum go on a raiding party.

Im thinking: gears in reverse, larger rotor = less lever force required but giving a lower more gradual braking force.
Smaller rotor = pull hard on lever to get harder, more instant stopping.
Bigger rotor will give more feel/control. Small rotor will tend to lock up.

Ive been loving rigid with narrow tyres for getting to the grip underneath
Rim brakes total rubbish though so I have had to aim for a soft landing and bin into deep powder it a few times – all good fun so far
