Bigthunder – I didn’t call all trailbuilders vandals. I said dont do damage to other people’s stuff, for example pulling down their walls and don’t spoil the natural environment. That would be vandalism. I am sure your trails ride just lovely but that is nothing to do with my point.
Our local woods will possibly be closed off soon due to iresponsible trailbuilders.

Please, all you trailbuilders, respect landowners.Do not nick stone from walls or do other damage to the environment.

This kind of vandalism is probably going to cost us goodwill and our best “natural” trails round where I live (woody footpaths which the landowner has let us ride since forever)

Well over a week now and it’s going great. Strangely experiencing some chest pains at night though. I think my body is trying to adjust to the new regime and getting confused.

Watched Life in a Day on DVD last night – OK a documentary so maybe it doesn’t count but I loved it – (Love it = 9/10 in my scoring)

Last proper movie – Pulp Fiction which seemed like a string of set pieces badly cobbled together. Still quite enjoyable in parts so 7/10.

Best seen recently was Breaking Away – 9/10 fantastic, best movie of the 1970s IMO

I stopped a week ago and I don’t want to go back to it. Feeling pretty chuffed and looking forward to getting properly fit for the first time in ages. Weght gain has been immediate though.

I stopped smoking on Monday so it’s day 4 for me.
Cold turkey no nicotine replacement.
Tried before and thought I’d cracked it but not so. This time it’s for good.

Theres a lot of talk about avoiding injury when climbing here.
In my experience you have more chance of getting hurt cycling than bouldering even without pads. A buddy to spot you is a good idea though if you dont know the problems.
