I have a couple of novels on the go but the one which has me beat is Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. It is harder to finish than Tristram Shandy which took me about 3 years. If you are the type who likes to finish what you started I would say to you “Don’t go there”.
I’m all for improving facilities and getting more young people involved in sport but not because I want Team GB to win more lumps of gold.
The Olympic Games are a fantastic event because they are supposed to be about internationalism not medal table bollox. (For me anyway)
The worst thing is the amount of vegetation that has sprung up. Face high nettles and bramble shoots. Trails obscured by bracken and bushes so you cant see the bike and rocks greasier than winter.

I’m past caring about getting wet this year. After going stir crazy waiting for good weather I just go out in light gear and get soaked through.Sort of in defiance of the weather I suppose?
The other way round.
When I do certain jobs at work (computer graphics) I am always reminded of certain trails. I think it came about through reminiscing about the previous day’s ride whist working on a Monday
Certain supermarkets ahould pull their finger out and pay a fair price for milk. Sure everyone is squeezed at the moment but the public would pay a couple of pence more to keep dairy farming alive in this country.
As above, you can’t justify risk taking without regard to consequences for other people.
It is fine to put yourself at risk as much as you like, but it almost always puts others in danger. This goes for racing in any form.
This has cropped up on here a few times.
I have noticed it myself on the 5 spot. Must be to do with the geometry and/or riding position when front end is dropped.

People starting an answer with the word “so” is beginning to annoy now.
As in: “SO, what you need to do is…….”
