Tan Hill sounds spot on. Im looking for off road but not stopper technical or impossibly steep. Don’t suppose it can be all that steep at 11 miles long!
Do they have decent ales at the top?
Another fan of rigidity here. I don’t claim to be faster on it but often prefer the riding experience. Good to put the full susser in dry dock for winter too.
I sometimes tell myself to imagine how much more painful this would feel if I was running instead of riding the bike. It kind of opens the door to enduring a higher level of pain. I am not a good runner.
I love the Cross Keys at Siddal , Halifax.
Always great beer and friendly people in there.
Just a bit too far from Brighouse to fully appreciate though.
I have gone back to climbing after 10 years only MTBing
Just indoor bouldering so far due to lack of partners for ropes
The upper body has re-shaped it’s self quite nicely after a few hard months. Increased grip and core has helped me to haul away on the singlespeed.

Oh yes, regular hiking is good for weight loss
Manchester to Goole can be done on inland waterways with a bit of route finding preparation (which is all part of the enjoyment. You can get back by train. Its gonna be a slog though.
On Sunday me and the wife picked about 10 quite large puffballs. Our lad came in and identified them as common earthballs which can make you pretty ill so they went in the bin.
Doh.
