You guys are only short of an official grading system as per rock climbing, then you can really argue forever over nothing.

    Some but not all..
Psychedelic Music, Old Blues, Old Soul, 70’s Punk, Post Punk, Garage Rock, Reggae, Ska and Dub. Folk, Avant Garde stuff, Seriously Heavy Metal, Hip Hop, Classic Pop, etc, etc.
I don’t like much… Country Music, Overproduced Modern Pop Music, Classical Music.
Each to their own. My main problem is finding time to listen and appreciate all the music I might be into what with 6 Music, The Quietus, Spotify et al enabling me to find and access so much. In a way the less music I have the more I love what I have.

I would go for the Cannondale Trail SL 29. You may get one new for under £600 which gives you more than enough spare to add decent brakes. I love mine to bits.
    It’s SS and 29″ though.

Her enthusiasm seems quite genuine to me and helps me from flagging during the in between bits of a marathon watching session.

I was just saying last night what a brilliant presenter Clare Balding is. She shouldn’t be expected to have expert knowledge especially at the Olympics.
    I like her anyway.

Mind if my kids pop round and torch your shed? Y’know, as a necessary component of a healthy society an’all…..

Yes of course I would mind I am old

Vandalism seems irrational and annoys us grown ups. That’s why it has been around since teenagers were invented in the 50’s. It only takes a few bad uns to give the impression that there’s something wrong with “kids today”. I would go so far as to say that a certain level of anti-social behaviour and petty crime amongst the yoof is a necessary component of a healthy society.

Does anyone else get a buzz from riding through gaps much smaller than their bar width, albeit at a slowish speed?

Looking out the office window in Haworth I can see steam trains most days. The Worth Valley Railway has been in loads of films and TV stuff. Right now there is a massive fake Haworth Parsonage being built on the moor top for an upcoming Bronte TV series.

Impressed by 5.10 Guide Tennies. Amazingly grippy on rock, wet or dry. Perfect for riding on flats too.

Saw a thing on TV this morning on about how the current vinyl boom is all about kids buying them for the artwork only. They don’t usually have the equipment to play records.
Which is fair enough I have done it myself if I really like an album.

    Do:
Hire a car and drive out of the city for a day.We did red rocks, valley of fire and hoover dam, then get wazzed on margaritas in margaritaville which is on the strip attached to the Flamingo casino. See the Circe du Solliel show at the Mirage. We had a good night out in the piano bar in New York New York too. Go out to the old Vegas (Fremont Street) and eat at Tony Roma’s. The cafe under the Eiffel Tower does a great breakfast especially the eggs benedict.
Be prepared to lounge around the pool drinking beer all afternoon whilst being pounded by loud party tunes!

    Don’t:
Get fed up with being hassled to take a heli trip to the Grand Canyon.

    Happy Days – Enjoy
