Very personal to me, being a motor neurone disease sufferer.

I am fully in favour of dignity in dying.

Buttered sourdough toast topped with avocado, smashed with grated fresh ginger and chopped red chilli with a cooled, medium boiled egg on top.

unfortunately I’m permanently nil by mouth!

Dialects and unique local lingo have been fading out for a very long time. As a little kid in the early 60s in  W Yorkshire village I could hardly make any sense of what the old folk were saying, they almost seemed to be speaking a foreign language.

Back in the early 80s I  met an English ex pat when he arrived at the  campground in Yosemite in a beat up old Datsun Cherry. Roger Whitehead. As was his habit he had hitched about 2000 miles from his home for the climbing season. A nice old lady had given him a long ride to her hometown and then given him the car. He was a very charming fellow Roger, probably still is. She said she wouldn’t be needing the car any more.

Take my advice and don’t wait for retirement to realise your dreams. I got seriously ill in my mid 60s. So glad now that I bought that Elise that nearly bankrupted me in my early 40s, the memories are worth every penny.

Aged 67, diagnosed with MND about a year ago, 6 months before retirement. Mrs cheese and I had plans for a life of travel, hiking, climbing and riding trails, all up the swanee now. Struggling to walk and type now. However we have connected with Empowered People in Todmorden who are dedicated to getting folks like us out riding by developing equipment and providing massive support so looking forward to hitting the roads on an Ebike plus recumbant trike soon.

Congratulations on 150 issues, keep on printing!

As an MND sufferer who can no longer get out riding I was inspired by the 3 wheeled amigos piece. Well done. You should be aware of your local Mayors charity of the year – Empowered people??!! if not check them out, they are doing amazing work in getting disabled people out on bikes, maybe too road based for the mag though?

The other highlight of the issue for me was the Anders Engberg story and his brilliant graphic artwork, presumably inspired by Hokusai – amazing.

    Cheers, Ian

Big up the disabled toilet at Junction 32 retail park. I was there yesterday. Has loads of space, everything you need and spotless. Even has a Loo of the Year award on the wall.
