Well deserved win for Checo as was clearly faster of the RB’s. Still amazed at how they race around in the wet and not bin it at Monaco ( except schumi and nearly Sainz). Russell still showing that the Mercedes is the third fastest car on the grid

wolffs face was priceless. Great drive by Russell, Perez and Verstappen and Hamilton. Even a poorly Nozzer has the honey badgers number.

wow kmag was on fire in the Haas. Great result for Russell beating the Perez and Hamilton. I expect Red bull to take 1 and 2 after looking after its tyres.

True Russell still faster than Hamilton. I guess we shall see when everything is turned up to 11 and Sainz and Perez stop playing around.

Love seeing Bottas ahead of the Mercedes in quali. I wonder if they swapped Hamilton and Russells cars around and if Toto apologises for the unacceptable car they’ve given him

If Mercedes has got the car wrong and there is a current budget cap, how much could they really spend to bring a new baseline spec car?
I thought it was costly to damage wings let alone change the concept and other associated parts. The cost to make up the 1 second deficit probably isnt linear the higher the perfomrance gains.
I’m not convinced Mercedes or any other team would be able to make up the difference in this current environment.

This maybe Hamilton’s first season in F1 where he wont have won a race. Its a pretty impressive run considering the teams and cars he has driven. I thought they were running two different cars to try and solve their problems but that might just be the setups.

Well that was a fun race.. it felt like we saw more shots of the slower Mercedes today than the Verstappen’s red bull. Great race for Yuki, Russell and glad Vettel got some points.

    Bellew v Haye
We know what the result of the match between Bellew and Haye

Tyson definitely changed from the Stallion that he used to describe himself as. He does have pedigree as a boxer throughout his career. I think he may have checked out after last nights bout although he implies that money talks so how much would the unification bout be?

Haas and Mclaren sitting in the top 10 with both cars. Not convinced that Merc will make inroads in the race tomorrow given their performance today unless there are retirements.

pretty rubbish luck for vettel and sainz. Pleased for Williams and Albon especially with their long game strategy. I still wonder how Latifi still manages to keep his drive

Interesting that Lewis mentioned that he has a different car to George. Clearly extra bits making the car heavier to enable more data and performance gains. What was the data on the long runs?

So Hamilton was 12 seconds up on max with 6 laps to go, another car crashes and max is allowed to Nip into the pits, change tyres comeback right behind Lewis then breeze past him for the win.

That’s the bit that I find strange.

I think thats how racing works in F1 nowadays.

    Finally a F1 result.

I’d be pointing the finger at Derek Warwick and his crew for setting up the precedent at the first turn. It wasnt just Massi that was inconsistent , see the stewards and giving back an advantage. I suppose Lewis/ Max can share the feeling of winning the championship on the last lap. Been a marathon of a season with nether principles fairing well. I feel for Susie as I imagine Toto will be like a bear with a sore head reading the regs all night with the lawyers.

still I think the driver that has won the most races should ultimately win the championship. Great drivers ahead of the rest by a country mile. Also amazing support drive by Perez but where was Bottas?

if the safety car gets deployed he could have a cheap pitstop of increase the life of the softs. I think there may be a few suprise win it or bin it moves.. How about that for a day late and a dollar short. If I were LH I’d leave Max in front for as long as possible.

what a great race.. plenty of intrigue and at points could’ve been totally different result. The changeable conditions always bring out the best of the drivers. Comedy moment was Vettel skidding around on slicks. Must have been really scary out there and at least he didn’t spin it.
Mazepin doing what he does best and so very close for Giovanni.

Usyk had a game plan which now looks like a blueprint to beat AJ. A little bit of Lom and a bit of Canelo is a fomidable combination. Notably only let AJ when his movement slowed down but made himself hard to tag with a good shot. The same comments said of fighting against Canelo. I still wonder how much knock out power Usyk carries at Heavyweight. Who will AJ take on as his next coach? Sugar hill?

We have assemblies of 200 odd in a hall and theatres packed so not sure what else they could do. Maybe more spacing between individuals. I appreciate trying to follow flawed government guides is futile so I guess whatever you can do to protect yourself.

big top box to fit trousers boots and helmet in and change into shoes. Also rain suit has been a revelation not completely waterproof but enough for a 30 min ride in a monsoon. Daytona boots havent let any water in. Not found any gloves that are water proof but its the least of my worries when I arrive.
