Ton, just do it. If only to make me jealous until Dave@PX gets some 18" ones in!
At least the lynskey/on-one frames have fat down tubes, so are about as stiff in the BB area as any Ti frame could be.

I had one in maplin, Leeds a few years ago. I still have all 20 letters they sent me in a box file somewhere. The letters stopped after a year or so.

The Palace is my current fave.
Just near Leeds Parish church, huddled in the shaddow of Daffys flat.
Nice selection of beer and good customer mix.

Bloody Hell, I am in agreement with Ernie all the way here!
Daffy, got a link to the stats on transport by planes? I VERY much doubt that it eclipsed all others in volume of people/goods moved. Having worked on carbon footprints, air travel is a hideously inefficient form of moving goods in terms o CO2 per kilometer per kilo of stuff moved (whether that be people or kenyan trimmed beans).
    We need less air travel

Round our bit of leeds everyone was OK. No fireworks before 23:50 (well theres always one with a fast clock!) and all over with by 00:20.

My dog is getting better with fireworks than she used to be.

Goan, it's funny (or at least was for a bit) when Clarkson plainly talks crap and denies climate change. Sadly when you do it (again) its less funny. Am sure your a loveley fellah but **** off and troll about something witty and amusing if you (can?) must.

Going to see it at Bradford IMAX for a second time on saturday with the family and a few friends. Of course the plot is linear, but so are many films (Aliens and Terminator 2 for starters).
As a 2.5hour immersive experience this is the best I have seen for a long time.

….oh hang on. Just remembered. The ones round here drive those awful Toyota pick up things, so uncool. As long as they stick to muddy quarrys and don't ride down footpaths from the local "estate" then they are ok. Do they do titanium MX bikes?

they get muddier than most mtbers, so must be cooler.

Sounds like a good idea to me, if theres cashback!
Had stopped tracking the sharing of sensors etc, but I know that the D80 shared a sensor with a Sony from about the same time.
For me, I am now a died in the wool Nikon user. The wireless flash alone is enough to ensure I stay loyal to the system. Though for the OP this is not really a relevant feature (unless he buys a D90 and SB600).

I had exactly the same fault on my vision 2. Sent back to Hope. Swapped cells and reprogrammed main unit. Been fine since. All free except for the postage to Hope. There is a returns form on their website to print off.

The d5000 has nikons latest sensor in it (same as in the £1200 D300s). The d3000 has an older sensor (same as my D80 I think).
If I was buying I would DEFINATELY find the extra £100 or so for the D5000.
The new sensor has less noise at high ISO. This means you can shoot in low light without flash easier than with the D3000.

When I was feeling contemplative many years ago, I got this printed on a few t-shirts for my mates:
"Happiness is the art of balancing the fact that every day could be your last, against the risk that it probably isn't."
I have a good life, but never dare take it for granted. Too many do.

d3000 with a VR lens. Wonderful bargain bit of kit.
D5000 even better if you can stretch to it.

I have a D80 (now replaced by the wonderful D90), my next camera will be the D700 replacement.

GW, I use a similar method. My logic is that I use WD40 as a degreaser (ie disolves all the paste in the chain.) I then let it dry and then apply proper lube just before next ride.

Obviously finishline degreaser would remove this paste better, but I am always worried about leaving a bit of degreaser inside the chain. You only need a tiny bit to completely mess up the surface tension properties of the lube.

Steve, it is long, but thats why it works. When brat is small fit a 60mm stem, a set of fleegle pro bars angled back to make reach short (thats whats in the picture). As urchin grows, maybe a longer stem and a normal set of riser bars.

just re-reading that. Daughter still waiting for a scandal though!
I bought her a carrera luna 24" brand new today.
A scandal would still be too big for her (she is a small 8).

Here is a pic of Son with bike:

He was 8 when I built it, but is 11 now.

The inbred is a really good frame for a small kid, and is flexible enough to grow with them as they grow.

SCottCheGG, that makes sense I suppose. I live on the railway line to ferrybridge powerstation, all the coal that goes there looks like small bits (The trains full of the stuff pass under a local bridge when I take the dog out for a walk). I suppose they have a chimley big enough not to worry about it blowing away.

    You are out of touch.

    CHB

The only difference is that coal for trains will tend to be smaller pieces as in a boiler you want maximum surface area to burn the fuel quickly so you can shove more into the furnace.
For domestic you want bigger bits that take longer to burn.

That said it will be fine. Get a big pile of it and avoid prodding too much with a poker as if it gets air to it then it will burn much faster.
