I once spilled a bit of Tons pint and he appologised for leaving it in my way.

Ton. I have seen heaps of your posts and never once seen you threaten or cause offence. Have seen you stand up to idiots, but I have not seen you seriously antagonised.

agreed, showed the human frailty and humbleness that makes the uk armed forces so very very special. Why stick something as significant as this on bbc 3? prime bbc2 material.

I reckon the effects will be felt very soon in the form of a stonking hangover. I always get one after more than 3 leffe.

Lifetime warranty. Lynskey ans on one are both very good at sorting these problems. Will not be quick though!

Very very talented. Was going to start a “what tyres for impressing Amanda Holden thread”, but then realised anything with a suitable amount of silicone would do.

l2d is brilliant. The head torch (can’t remember model number, but its 4 AA cells and over 200 lumen) is very good.
The Fenix beam pattern is great, a narrow spot with good throw, surrounded by a dimmer but much wider beam. It works how my eyes work (ie detail in the centre and periferal vision at the edges).

Is that the article they did on how to use your baton safely?

@hh45: I agree the met has a lot to answer for. But I rarely buy the line that “I was asked to do bad things, therefore I am not responsible for doing them”. Everyone in society should be able to account for their actions in whatever role the possess.

Best thing to do is to find a point before the break in the cable and short the wires together to fool it.
I have the ebay cable and live in leeds, but I have to go to someone I know in manchester if I want programming done.

I have the generic fault reader. Surely if the light is on then there IS a fault? Or are you wanting to ignore the fault or hide it while you flog the car?

Is this thread going to be on record as the most times ANYONE has ever agreed with TJ? For the record, I think he is right, though I reckon if the OP had worn a helmet then his injuries might have been less.

I have some 50ml ones (sterile turemo branded) that I bought on Ebay (box of hundred!). Happy to post them out to fellow STW’ers for £1 each including postage. Min QTY of two. Please email from profile.

Second hand SB600. Or SB800 as its much more powerfull and probably not much more 2nd hand.
    I have one of each.
The new SB900 is lovely and easier to use, but the “old” flashes are fine.
To really get the best out of them you need to get them off camera and use wireless TTL, not sure if the D5000 can act as a flash commander (my ageing D80 can). The SB800 and SB900 can act as master/control flashes, but this only matters when you have a second flash!

I tend to use both my SB600 and SB800 wirelessley and use the cameras onboard flash to control them.

Simple answer is that you need more friends, preferably ones that run a car and ride bikes. 😀

A good reason to buy British.
I have lots of their kit (3 pairs of wheels, two braksets, headsets and a vision 2), only ever had to return and get repaired one item in 15 years.
I know the parts for my kit will still be available in 10 years time.
Brilliant company and I do believe that their approach to customer service pays for itself in loyal customers…bean counters are you listening?

I would put the hole in the bottom of the bar, or the front face.
I would not put the hole bang in the middle as I don’t think this is the least stressed area.
I would put the hole 10 mm from the edge of where the stem clamp is.
The biggest stressed area is right next to where the bar enters the stem.

Not a material scientist though, just an amateur who has learnt how not to break stuff too often!

Houns… you want to ask for that pint topped up. Barmen have been sacked for serving pints like that in Yorkshire

Most drivers in Leeds and Harrogate are polite enough. Plenty wave to say thanks and even the Audi drivers leave a couple of feet between their bumper and yours.
Must be a darn sarf ingnorance thing.

Lister covered what I would take. Would like to add to that an on call Sea King helicopter, very popular first aid item at trail centres.

Slightly over budget, but this is a fantastic laptop for the money. Slim, excellent battery life. We have an older version of same range.
