Well on the WH40K front I was always partial to the space marines chainsaw weapon, though the orks were always more satisfying to paint.

Are there any hand launched nukes in the realms of Sci-Fi…I mean there must be!

I always remember one in an early Judge Dredd story where they were at war against the soviet mega city. The soviets had these range finding weapons that could shoot through walls. Dredd realised that if he could run towards them fast enough then they could not change the range quickly enough….the result was obviously not good for Sergei and his comrades.

Didn’t sam slade have a cool gun too?

[PS given the prominence of this forum on Google search rankings, I half expect my miscreant colleagues to find this….message: Back off these are my finds, go write some SQL or whatever you techs do on a wednesday evening 😉 ]

Yeah but in Harrogate I couldn’t turn the corner on a saturday afternoon without bumping into a work colleague. Plus by the end of month one living there you have been to every restaurant and activity worth doing. Good schools though, would love to have my two in St Aidens.
Much prefer a 10 minute train ride into the seething metropolis of Leeds.

Have a look at Steeton or Silsden for a nice wee village with excellent train links to Leeds.
If you need regular access to M62 or M1 then consider south leeds or areas such as Thorner and Bramham.

A lot depends on whether you have kids and where you work (or in what industry).

I live in a nice village in south east Leeds and for a working family its perfect. The commute from North Leeds or round Bradford on a morning and evening would have me like Michael Douglas in Falling Down.

Takes me 35 mins to get to my desk in Harrogate on a morning.

Most of my shirts have pink in them, it suits my flushed complexion after cycling to work.
They were a novelty in Yorkshire a few years ago, the stylish italians i work with now reckon that I should move onto lilac and mauve rather than pink.
I also love my Lamy fountain pen so pretty normal by the standards of this forum.

Definately check out what merlin cycles have on offer. Their malt frames and rock lobster bikes are very good value.

Legally this is a civil matter.
You contract is with the builder, not his mental girlfriend.
You will struggle to get remedial work .
As for any unrequested extras. Contract law is VERY clear here. Its called past consideration, ie asking for money for stuff you have already done if unsolicited is not ok:

Well today I took Cara the labrador from home to leeds along the canal.
…Then we sort of kept on going.
Eventually stopped at the cafe at bingley 5 rise locks.
Ordered a humungous english breakfast…..shared with the dog who was famished after 25 miles of running.
    Train back to woodlesford.
    Good half day!
