11 and 14. Left all day sometimes. It’s not about the age, its about the kid. I know 20 year olds I wouldn’t leave alone.

If you can build lego then you can build a pc.
Installing software takes longer than building the PC.

Have had two volvos. Brilliant cars and very user servicable.
My old V40 had 174,000 when I sold it and was still running well.
Now have a 2005 XC90 and the car is great quality and uses good materials.
Service and fix most bits on both cars myself, no more complex than any Pug or citroen.

Best bit about building your own PC is all the bits are generic so can be swapped or upgraded at will.
Buy a nice case, nice keyboard and mouse and a decent PSU.
The rest of the kit (HDD, memory, CPU, Graphics) I tend to change every few years as a job lot. My case and PSU are 9 years old and still fantastic.

Come on, its more than just fashion.
Their kit is generally better than the rivals. Higher resolution screens, more premium feel and fit/finish.

That said I really fancy an acer or samsung ultrabook as my next device.

….that said. Surface Pro might be just the ticket for my ideal all in one device.

Great screen, intuitiive to use and good support.

Coupled with Dropbox and a proper PC at home and work its my default device for 90% of my internet and digital time.

OP….sounds fixable. Good luck with it.
Many relationships have rough periods and raw emotions. You need strength of character and faith in the real nature of each other to get through the wobbles.

And sellotape is not the same as sticky tape.
No one buys actual Hoovers any more, but the word is used both as a verb and as a generic term for domestic vac in our house and many others.

The line passes within 400m of my house, and turns left to head into leeds right opposite a friends house on the edge of Woodlesford. Generally I think it will be good for Leeds.

Must be sadness, as attention to detail would have cut flush and aligned and hidden the heads of the ties.

My daughter had her ears pierced at age 7. However we went for a very small 18ct stud with just a .2ct diamond in each.
No chance of her being mistaken for a chav.

Leatherman charge tti here… brilliant. The waranty is solid too. I recently snapped my 8 year old charge Ti and the tti was sent free as a replacement. now have the blade sharp enough to shave. Leatherman seam to have improved the temper of their steel, as previously I prefered my swiss champ.

Three year old xc90’s sell for more than 12k.
Great cars, we have a 54 plate one and its ace!
The drive the deal price was only for a couple of years or so…2009-2010.
New prices are higher again, but then maybe the dealers have more haggle room?
To say the xc90 has been around for more than a decade, with only minor tweaks and upgrades tells you how right Volvo got it first time round. No the most agile of cars, but for 2.5tonnes of warm leather safety with a crackin stereo its hard to beat.

Nirvana tape playing in the A reg Austin metro….carrying bikes worth 3 times the value of the car.

If you do want a driver then I could ask my MIL to arrange, or put in contact with. She is a school principal in Columbo and haggles better than anyone I know.

It needs to be a special frame that you wont get bored of. Stick some nice handmade wheels on it and the for the rest, whatever budget allows, can always upgrade gradually to keep it fresh.

Or a full custom Bob Jackson, maybe not a “last” bike, but certainly the potential to be a constant companion supported by a stream of biking mistresses.

My inlaws live in Columbo. Stunning country.
Sigiria Rock is a must see. Kandy is nice too.
Ther is also a fantastic waterfall thats worth a visit.
A visit to a temple is great too, and its genuinly nice to take food parcels to the beggars that hang round all the temples. We spent £20 last time we went and fed about 40 people, a small token gesture, but the food they had that day was real and personally I dont take any moral position on feeding 40 hungry bellys. My kids helped hand the parcels out and the gratitude they received left them humbled, especially when they realised each parcel was only 50p. Theres a lot western folk could learn about how 90% of the planet live!
We had a personal driver when we went and its great, shows you all the great places and no driving hassle..which is a blessing!

Food is hit and miss, but some of the restaurants are amazing. The fresh crab curry is a must try. The dahl is to die for.

    Lots of great historic sites.

White person tax is a reality. My brother in law is a USA Sri Lankan, and had many heated arguments with every stall holder in 2010 as they tried to charge him the westerner price.

Happy to find out more if you want specific info.

simon-g: thanks for the reply. Will google your suggestion when I get in from work this evening.

Thanks (mostly) all for the suggestions and even for the micky take.
Think some folk on here confuse “cheap” with “free”….thankfully I don’t.
Should really have said “least rip-off”.

Happy to supply oodles of lovely tea from my home county to those that have helped.

    Tebbalot, thanks for the suggestion.
CFH: I am very disappointed that you only have two parking spaces in central london, though redemption by being an Ovlov owner.

Should really have said CHEAPEST parking, I know there is no such thing as cheap by Northern standards.
Considering I am saving several hundred pounds by driving rather than train, cheap means least rip off that still leaves me quids in compared with cost of taking a family of four on our tax payer subsidised, but still rip off train service.

So all practical suggestions really welcome.

    Ta.
