Apologies, but someone was bound to make the comment, and no disrespect to the craftsmanship above, but:

    That’s not a knife, this is a knife….

My fantastic Damascus cooks knife. Not to be shared with family, and certainly not to go near a dishwasher.

Nice craftsmanship. Prefer more modern hi tech steels and handles ( big Ti fan!) but i have to admire your handywork there. Loving the file work.

Liverpool is a horrendous hole. Brighton has a better choice of hole, but would not be a city of choice for me.

The breeders above have a hairless sphinx cat, fantastic personality almost non-catlike.
However for us we want a big lazy pampered cat. Our labrador has enough playfulness for the family!

When your year is up, if you consider cancelling you might find that they give you 50% discount for a year.
The full price is a rip off compared with the bbc, but we just got their tv renewed for a year at half price.

Osram nightbreaker for c£11 from ebay or amazon.
Use them in both my cars. Brilliantly bright and at a fiver a bulb they are cheap enough not to stress your relationship.

    What else floats?

    Just been to visit here:

Stunning cats and a lovely commited breeder.
So think we will go on their list for next litter.

Another vote for Leeds, but as a born and bred loiner I am biased.
Choose your location carefully in Leeds as its a diverse old place!

    I know! Brilliant.
Our cat was 18 years old when she died recently, so she was too old to be bothered with a giddy labrador.
When our cat was younger she grew up with (and outlived) our previous dogs. She had those dogs VERY well trained, and both of our old dogs were on call as heated catbeds when needed.
Now we have a new-ish dog, that has never realised that a dogs tail is the best cats plaything EVER. I really look forwards to a cat that can put the final aspect of the dogs training into place.

Pets4homes is good, but nothing on there currently, plus a recomendation from the STW hive mind is the best of all recomendations.

    Jambourgie:
This was over 10 years ago, when I worked for Mars.
The main petfood sites were in Melton and Peterborough.
Waltham was head office and had attatched to it the nutritional research centre.
Absolutely amazing place. Every recipe developement had to be tested on a variety of breeds (dogs especially due to variety od sizes and metabolisms). So the place is set up like a series of sections connected together in like a honeycomb pattern. Each section is separate to avoid risk of infection, and visitors are not allowed to touch the dogs and cats in the centre to avoid infecting them. All animals in the centre get a full and acitive training and play regime (in the courtyards between sections, and other areas).
Because visitors are not allowed to touch most of the animals (to protect the animals from visitors!) they had this one room that visitors could interact, and it had the most fussed over and loving british blues you could imagine. I crouched down to stroke one and another got jealous ans put its paw on my leg to get attention….it felt like a small childs weight being put on me!
Waltham is a brilliant place and is why I still use their products today despite no longer working for the company.

Police had good evidence he had a gun. He did have a gun, moments before being shot.
If I was the armed officer I would not risk my life if I had reaonable belief a known thug was about to pull a weapon on me.
Hard choice, maybe the stop could have been managed differently, but ultimately Duggan comdemned himself by his actions leading up to this moment.

As someone with a disproportionate amount of allotment space given over to various types of garlic, this thread has piqued my interest.
So for this garlic roasting…does one peel the garlic before roasting or after?
    Any other tips?

I would stay away from dell. Lots or dell specific bits esp motherboards and power supplies.
A decent prebuilt system from aria, cclonline, overclockers etc will be much better.
For your needs its the gopro footage that will hammer your processor. I have an AMD equivalent to the i5 with 16gb rmemory…and editing gopro and encoding for output takes power!
For you I would go for an I5 or AMD equivalent, with a £50 graphics card and 8gb memory.
As said above, a nice keyboard, mouse and screen make a big difference, and you will have them for a long time!

I think I can be certain that no supermarket card will be better. I have used this at 1080p 25fps for over one hour solid and had no buffer issues. Also tested at 4k for 10 mins with no issues. So my advice is to crack on with it, and maybe buy one of the recommended ones in good time, but no rush.

Rickt: yes I got the ultra off Amazon, as it was in the “this is what other internet fools buy when not researching, but buying this camera” link.
No problems so far, and it was less than £20.

I shot at 1080p 25fps for two hours and 15 mins the other week on my gopro black. It used approx 16gb.
So I would guess at max frame rate of 50fps at 1080p you would get a couple of hours video.
