OP: GCSE English and Maths are very worthwhile, however as mentioned above you have already shown you can string a sentance together better than many regular posters on here.
Attitude is something that school doesnt really teach you. If you can show that hard work doesnt scare you and you are willing to learn on the job and muck in to help then you will find a good future.

At 16 the whole world awaits you, dont worry it will work out.

Neat washing up liquid, cover the full patch and leave overnight….then hose (or in my case just let rain and nature do the work for you).

Just teak oiled all my garden furniture.
It builds up into a protective finish, deep into the wood.
Teak oil polymerises over a few days to lock itself into the wood, this is good!
Unlike varnish, teak oil goes right into the wood and makes it inherently water repellent.
To be fair, with teak (and ash) you can probably get away with not treating it, but I have a teak table in the back garden that gets intermittent attention (rigorous teak oil this year, but nothing for the previous two years!). The table is 11 years old and is never covered for winter. Its still in great condition.

What advice have you had AGAINST teak oil?

Good post! I went for a “giffers” check last year and it was worthwhile from a health perspective. Dont ignore your body and use the NHS, its there to help you!

    Fairly certain its soft.
Only area that I know has unexpected hard water round these parts is York.
Can check at work on monday as have colleagues who live nearby, and we have detailed UK maps of water hardness as it matters for a decent cuppa.

I live near a local primary school (50m away) to my street is full with parents cars twice a day. Also I am 150m from train station, so lots of commuter cars too!
I am generaly fairly chilled over the parking situation. Provided no one blocks my drive or parks for days outside my house then I consider it being a small price to pay for the joy of living central to the edge of Leeds. My neighbour however hates it and would happily eviscerate any slightly unwelcome parkers.
So park away, but be wary of those less tolerant.

The Germans have industrial relations sorted. Bob Crows style, while effective in the short term for his members is exactly the type of union behaviour that damages industrial relations in the long term. Unless you believe that things were better in the 60’s and 70’s?

I have seen his type of union tactics backfire and harm workers on more occaisions than it succeeds. Sorry for him personally and his family, but can’t say I wish there were more people like him in public life as his tactics were corrosive and divisive.

I thought of Payback straight away…best Gibson film ever ans I need to see it again.
But mention of the Crow above reminded me of how fab this film is and its a classic revenge story.
Robocop has large elements of revenge, but its mainly about good v evil and thats a different story type.
In a proper revenge story you dont care if the person who is on the offensive is good or evil, just that they are vindicated in seeking revenge.
Surely there must be something involving Liam Neeson?

Isnt this just a case of “expensive mothballed DARPA project given cheapish second chance by 1980’s music star”
Cool project, and his idea to video the earth is cool too.

Cubed beef (like tiny 1cm cubes) nicer than mince, also and this is the biggest ingredient that really changes the dish…cumin! Not the ground stuff, but the whole cumin you get from the asian supermarkets. Grind it a smidge in mortar and pestel before adding.
    Plain chocolate also good.

Steinhart and chris ward are both good.
Hamiltons are nice too, but style is hit and miss for me.

I have a chris ward harrison GMT and its really nice.
The other option I always recommend is casio oceanus range. They do some fantastic solar powered, radio controlled watches for c£500 and thats with titanium and saphire crystal. Dont be put off by the brand name, oceanus stuff is really good quality.

A big secondary school in North of UK would have a budget of c.6 million for about 1100 pupils.
Staff (teachers and support) take up well over half the budget.
State schools are great value for money, just imagine what they could deliver with 8million between 1100 pupils!

Simply the best I have owned.
    Sensible money, fantastic build quality.

Just Google Fenix torches for a choice of vendors.

Daughter 12: very much into it!

As a dad who grew up craving better graphics, I share your thoughts on “it looks a bit rubbish”. However you and I are wrong.

The gameplay and creativity it allows are amazing.
Moreover, the skills learnt incidentally by playing it are very useful. My daughter now understands servers and IP addresses. She also started developing skins for other minecraft users, so the creativity and use of software like Gimp is another skill that has come out of her minecraft usage.

Not a fan for dads (MW3!) but its one of the better bits of software for kids to learn without realising it!

    From wiki:
Barry also composed the love song “We Have All the Time in the World” sung by Louis Armstrong. With lyrics by Burt Bacharach’s regular lyricist Hal David, it is heard during the Bond–Tracy courtship montage, bridging Draco’s birthday party in Portugal and Bond’s burglary of the Gebrüder Gumbold law office in Bern, Switzerland. “We Have All the Time in the World” is often mistakenly referred to as the opening credits theme.

So it is in the middle.
