Well thanks to all who turned up, really enjoyed leading the mid group round, not done it for a while!
Soma Rich, let me know when your next over this way and we’ll show you a few bits you may not have seen! (ill bring 35 tubes with me! )

Annabannana… thanks sooo much for the cake/biscuits. The Gin went down rather well last nite and left me without hangover, but slightly worse for wear!

Got out on the new road bike for a few miles this afternoon to check it all ‘fitted’ ok.

Thanks again, you all helped make a great day!

Richc… I think you’d be suprised if you were there as i doubt either of those trails will be used!
Sharki will be on the natural course early on i think then heading for another after but the Car park DH and the alternative to the chimney weren’t on the cards last nite.

CG… Yes you read correctly! you can change at lunch if you wish, just after the ladys edge climb. It will get another cracking singletrack in if you go with the general mincers! However the pootle in the hills will be at a slightly slower pace i believe. (And walking will be allowed…)

Forge – Just making the assumption we will get some flats! Where we are riding we shouldn’t really get any at all (havent done for weeks, then we had 2 in one ride) So its really just a safety thing, £6 quid of tubes in every bag shouldnt cause too much of an issue, they dont weigh much!

    charlierevell

Obviously i’ll be there! Routes are planned well (Apart from one of us!)
Can i ask that everyone brings AT LEAST one tube, preferably 2 coz i dont want to spend alll day fixing tubes really.
Lets have a count round and find out how many riders we have…

    (3 so far, plus 3 (4) guides… hmmm )

Cranks off and soak in rust penetrator (should start to break up the bond)
Hope they didnt use stud lock, which is permanent…
Heat will also work, quite a lot of it!

Get a big spanner and stand on it and the pedal, should soon free up then (If your 15 stone like me!) Just make sure you use a good quality spanner with good flats! (Probably not a thin one.)
Also, try some penetrating spray, Wurth do a really good one, halfords will do an equivalent. That then breaks down the corrosion, rather than being a corrosion inhibiter (or water dispersant like WD40)

Crowcombe Park Gate, on the Quantocks. 9 am meet for a 10 am ride on the 21st March. Open to all.
Should be a 13 mile, 18 mile and a more techy longer ride depending on numbers.
Then we’ll do a triscombe loop to get the chimney in after lunch.

    GOOOOOOoogle Map!

You’ll want junction 25 of the M5 if coming from the north, then follow the route above straight to the car park! Turn Right at B then you wont have to go thru the village!

You could also use this one if you get off at junction 23…

    Google Map from Junct 23

I could also meet people on a Mway junction (Probably junction 23 if your all coming down the M5) and lead you up there if you want?
Saves people getting lost on route!
you can email me if you want this on charlierevell@gmail.com, if theres enough people want to folow i’ll be there for half 8ish and we’ll pick a layby to meet in!

I reckon the Chimney loop is a must, would make it about 18-20 miles total i guess…. I think its worth a trip down weacombe too.

Well because we have a small market share we still have a lot to go for! A lot of what we do is stock based tho, and most people are cutting their stocks back massively!
