Hiked-a-bike up from carpark with me, then -needs must- had to turn and head back down( planned to shoot off through woods) but on the right embankment he was zipping down beyond the digger & went full splat into a peaty ditch.

Pressure worked wonders, but i would’ve been particularly concerned with the fleshy flap & perhaps bone visibility. No shock or panic and we carried on riding together into Colinton village.

StevenMenmuir, running a 25/12 so swings and roundabouts there.

This burden-less yoof, ungainful menial employment and a ready supply of carbs means i’ll be up there tomorrow an aw.

Couldashouldawoulda that tag was me, i went up Puke hill for the first time and thus sitcom-esque situation at the homestead.

On another note, nowt makes me chunder and gets away so lightly so I got home pronto today and had another bash…less walking & less chunks on the heather.

Thankyou Jeremy & Niner & Giant for tonights awesome adventure.

Puke hill made me sick. The irony isn’t lost, for sure. Thanks for believing in my integrity enough to let me piss off back down it high on Powerade vomit & endorphins.

Bloody nora, was like falling into Moby Dicks mouth filled with sparkly little LED’s. Full pelt, no lights, Edinvar 45degrees THAT WAY.

Shazam. Got home safe, shaking with the happiness.:D
Thanks to Keiron for getting me through the dell.

    Well added NB: TJ.

Is there a market for a good old fashioned “local” thread for stuff such as this?

Worthwhile adding the steps from Calton Hill to London Road and inappropriate things regarding transcending from the Castle to the gardens.downwards.

Curious : Is the assessment to do with mountainbike leadership?

I’ve looked into undertaking the course and wonder what your opinion on it was?

I’ve had my Inbred for 6 months and it gets at least a 12 mile loamy-woods commute every day plus extra Pentlands adventures whenever I can.

Reliably sound for reminding me I’m on a bike.

I can’t shed the belief that everyone everywhere has to ride a bike full on, all of the time. Always. No pootling ever.

Just wanted to say thanks to 13thFloorMonk for his offer of leading me to the beginning of the trail, and apologise for not taking him up on it.

I propose, as a layman who has neither embarked upon a Wednesday night STW ride or prior trail repairs, that the two become a purpose for a single cause? Ride & observe in the week then make a “plan”.

All talk from me so far mind…don’t hate.

Cheers j_me, need a kind soul looking to get their money back, not profiteering fun merchants. Even more than those are tickets for the Arctic Monkeys tour… sadface.

Glasgow in November might not be out the question.

Can’t even blame the festival in this case…
