Now I’m farting around reading user reviews like a tit.

Are SLX/XT/ZEE comparable in terms of service intervals? Can I just use Aztec rotors or is there spectacularly expensive peripherals involved? There is a significant reason why I’ve stuck with BB7’S for so long.

Thanks LabMonkey, I’ll only buy new brakes so I have some backup if there’s a problem.

    SLX M675 £50 on CRC.

NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!

Saints are now completely off the table and I’m at a loss to distinguish between Zee and SLX.

The question to answer is “If you never used your brake until the last moment, which would you rather depend on?” Hora sez SLX

    Very, very sad.

Drop Dead Fred was my childhood.

Watching Bottom quiet enough not to get caught was my younger Teenage years.

Going to have a lot of laughter in his memory.

Edit: I am laughing just thinking of the camping episode in Bottom….

Troy was on BBC Scotland TV news this afternoon.

That should be very good news for the event as a whole. Aside from keeping the sponsors very happy- RedBulls clear presence and Monsters none, Silverline etc- to see DH on Tele is pretty incredible.

If just one person watches and goes “Im going to THAT next year” job done.

Andy, the tyres were Geax ultrashit squirrely model and the bike was a coil shock Labyrinth.

Euro, my lack of faith in my brakes affects my confidence.

Thanks for the insight everyone, for me it’s about braking hard and late because, as above, I am inclined to tomahawk into corners and hope the brake kicks in.

I am not rich however so I think I’ll choose Zee and then when I get that DH bike-2 years time ish- see what the story is.

    Very helpful, you lot.

Still happening. Have to reset my content block and do a restart to get in this forum.

On EE 4G. Only happened since I came to Fort Bill on holipops.

I don’t have any suspicious emails and it’s the correct page like when the content block is on and someone looks at boobs.

Odd. I’m not phoning EE, life’s too short.

I’ll never return to those roots. The bonkingest day of ny life. Good God, the throttling.

It was a very hard, very long day to be smashing around on 32:16 Inbred with a bunch of guys on Mojo HD’s.

Always had it on my 120 Reba soloAir.

Persistent after a lowers service/ seal replacement.

Doesn’t affect performance fir me, not too worried.

With 203 rotors and speed-dial plus sticky DHF, the BB7’s slow me down and do A job well.

Problem is as my speed/ability has increased, I have lost a lot of confidence in being able to throw myself into a corner. They’re fine for tomahawking though.

Zees are Saints, without the reach adjusters

If true, that might be the clincher. For now.

Edit: Internetz agrees. Zee wins. For now. It’s 14 days to payday.

If you want Shimano four-pots, get Zees instead perhaps? About £90 an end instead of £125+.

    ticsmon – Member
Get some xt’s from crc half the price and can’t be that much different can they ?

Discuss. I’m unsure of th finite details of the others but I don’t want Zees and then keep thinking “shoulda, woulda, coulda Saints”.

Hardcore hardtail, aggressive riding and hard, fast braking into corners with very little “feathering” malarkey.

It’s the BB7’s that made me this way.

Quite simply the greatest race day of my life, the best spectacle on earth. Stunt planes, DH racers, sunshine and atmosphere.

Phenomenally spectacularly unequivocally brilliant. The sport at its finest.

Liking bikes doesn’t get better than that.

Dunno but I just bought a pro2 evo on EX721 QR for £10/ off some stall at Ft.bill.

It was an emergency. I am happy. Can’t imagine there’s many left in the world now.

Ride it til it dies. The last original bit of Inbred MK1 died today, so I’m gonna buy a new wheel.

My own philosophy is always find a way to update the kit with something better.

Pro 2 on Ex front please.

I look forward to, seriously lust for, the brief phase in my life where I have disposable income available to buy someone’s “status symbol” V10 and love it my way.

I have been keeping to myself my opinion on that shitty story.

Obviously Peaty would have permitted its release, but drink driving etc etc.. that wasn’t a “debauched lads” story, it was admission of a list of crimes committed abroad that could still bring consequences.

Warner is a **** tit, but we know that, shame that this “bit” was even published.

Going by past years about half as busy as Sunday. Even for the top 10 elite Men.

Hell, I’m going up today and I don’t bother with Saturday.

It’s good for getting some shots of the stars & pootling about in the pits though. The difference from Sat at 1pm to Sun at 1pm is beyond belief.

My spectating tips are watch practice/qualifying from the hillside on Fri/ Sat and stay in the arena on Sunday.

I’d quite enjoy a midden. Wellies bikes & beer is my Nirvana. I’d rather that than a frizzy, drizzly, humid, midge minefield.

Torlundy Farm is the best place to stay for weekend action. If you have your bikes you can nip back for supplies etc etc.

Both my parents live in the Fort, at different sides of town. No pitching space in the garden, however.

Also, if I was visiting I’d be camping by the Loch & Canal in Corpach. There’s showers etc but I can’t imagine British Waterways would be keen on the masses decending.

    YEHAAH!

Best week of the year. Two week holiday started yesterday, 6 hours on bike racked up already, leave for Fort Bill on Thursday for a weekend of beer & bikes & beer. It’s home for me so Mrs. C & I get fed and watered by mother, everybody wins.

I knew I was moving out at 18.

    It was just “what happens”.

I’d like to think I’ll raise kids who can’t wait to fly the nest and get out on their own!
