One of my favourite shows as an 80’s kid and was ahead of its time, really unique. Think it was on itv around 5pm, just before my tea.

I’ve just replaced my shimano GRX pads with gorilla resin pads and working well so far. They have a great selection of pad compounds and customer service was excellent

I would ask a local joiner to provide a quote. From experience we recently had wardrobes fitted in two bedrooms to either side of the chimney breast. 4 unpainted units made in a mixture of softwood and mdf came to 3k

Yes, definitely get scuffing from movement, and dirt/grit getting trapped between strap and frame. Use a layer of copter tape to minimise any damage.

I use a krieg, bought from xc racer. Go for the large one if you’re using a 29er tube. Really well made and straps solidly to the saddle rails, great graphics too

I bought a sonder camino, so a similar price point and spec to yours and its got to be my most ridden bike now. Sold the road bike, the singlespeed and mtb has not been ridden for 6 months as a result. I think that’ll be used just for winter now. The gravel bike is fun to ride straight from the front door, relaxed and more capable off road than I thought it could be. You don’t have to faff with a roadbike uniform and feel inclined to follow a set of cycling rules. If I could only have one bike, a gravel would be it. Enjoy!

Loads of options, liking the idea of uk made and recycled materials. Looking at ones made by beerbabe, would the inner tube construction perish easily?

I had this problem and started using Unibond anti-mould silicone from screwfix. Seems to have worked well so far.

I just stick to crud catchers on the mtb and zefal swan/croozer on the gravel bike. Simple to take on and off and minimal scuffing with a bit of helitape. Plus I prefer the look of them

I would recommend the Krieg Saddlebag. I use the small version for tube, multitool, co2, keys etc. Really well made and unique panels! You’ll see what I mean! They are not waterproof, but really like the retro look and size. Light clip really useful. You can get them from xc racer shop.

Thanks for all the useful info, appreciated. Good to see all the different setups, think having all the gear in one place makes sense to swap between bikes easily. Hope you’re all enjoying some riding time at the moment.

That’s really useful, nice bike and setup too. I didn’t consider a tool keg and I have room for one. Cheers s1m0n

I would say it was early 90’s. The toll bridge was in Swinford and I went to the school in Eynsham, in the next village. A school friend of mine used to work on the bridge collecting money, 5p a car.

Also biking through the local woods and went through someone’s makeshift camp… my mates rear tyre flattened the frying pan that was left outside the tent

I once saw what appeared to be a kids bouncy castle at the top of a remote gravel track… When I got closer I realised it was a huge colourful mound of electrical cable insulation. Some one had been busy.

Zefal Swan and Croozer for me too. Only about £15 for the pair. Tried fixing sks bluemels but caused toe overlap, which made the bike feel awkward. Also tire clearance was poor with 42mm width and grit kept on getting caught, causing the guards to ping off and misalign. I would go for mtb type clip on anyday, they may not have the coverage of a full guard, but so much easier to fit and hassle free. check out the zefal or sks range.
