Not enough Sabbath yet so I’ve added one less known track from each of the 1st 6 albums.
Sabbath = the greatest heavy rock band of all time to me

What about people with cheap cars and expensive bikes, where do they fit into the OP’s stereotype hierarchy.

I’d like to know how I’m perceived :-)

It’s 1980 on planet rock years at the moment. All sorts of good stuff being played.

Mine was stolen when i was at college, I’d love to still have it, and the mass of badges.
I had mine back in the day that any new denim clothing was like deep blue cardboard and you had to get you’re mam to wash things ten times before you wore them.

You don’t need to go beyond 1980 for the answer BUT I can’t make my mind up between.

    Mastodon in Newcastle for me.
I might have to get to a Lee Scratch Perry gig, could be interesting and I also thought he’d died

I’d be going for the flat boring pedal round the park. You need to be very cautious after an a achilles rupture. I just started off using an exercise bike after I came back from the same thing, you need to minimise the risk of any sort of jarring or uncontrolled dabs.

Not enough of you are taking a helicopter view of this issue, you’ll never shift paradigms or fully engage your stakeholders if you don’t.

I’m only red/green colour blind when I do the dotty number test, I can pick out any colour from a fine wiring loom. It’s had no impact on my career in engineering.

I like to watch gigs through the screen of the person in fronts mobile phone which is being kindly held in my line of sight to the band.

Which of the above good curry houses is close to the National Indoor Arena and would allow people wearing Motorhead T shirts in ?

I had this problem with the same type of wheel a couple of months ago.
On a week in the Lakes, went for a ride, came back minus 2 spokes, took the wheel up to Whinlatter, 2 new spokes installed but 2 more pinged out while being tensioned, another ride, another failure, one new installed and another pinged out in the workshop. Rubbish aluminium nipples failing after approx 9 months.

Took the wheel back to Bikescene (where the bike came from) they got in touch with Specialized who let me have a replacement wheel for half price. I’ll be rebuilding this one with different nipples at some stage.

You can have a good ride if you join up the good bits. Typically I do something like..

A couple of laps of the skills loop, then follow the Black from the start, over route 666 etc, until you pass the bottom of the Tran/Accel/Nitrous bit, which you can pass then bear up to the right and get to the top of (ask someone to show you as its a common short cut), go down and repeat a few times, then follow the black again until the end.

2014 models of these bikes are going cheap(er) now as well. Have a look on the Bikescene website.

OP, maybe you should build a bike jump for the middle of the road. You could join in and everyone would be happy.

If the kids are 4 – 6 I reckon outside the house, where the parents can keep a bit of an eye on them, is better than a park 30 seconds away.

Reading this thread brings back memories of our street when I was that age, it was more of a playground/skateboard run/football pitch than a road for cars.

Whitby to Ravenscar and back is good. I’ve seen loads of kids cycling along there as well. There are no steep hills as it’s all along the old railway and coming back is mainly a downhill roll. If I go I park up on larpool lane and join the track near the viaduct at Whitby.

I’d say the same. You could manage it, but the road bike wouldn’t be best suited, I’d say it’s the very definition of a track for hybrid bikes.

A pickled egg is allowed if you have to wait for your fish to fry. Eat one in the queue.

My Camber weighs about 28lb, I weigh 190 so I can’t see the difference losing a bit off the bike would make to the overall weight I have pedal about.

I’ve seen it on a small scale around Saltburn, branches etc placed on the line bikes take. Luckily so far they’ve just made the ride more interesting, hopefully it won’t escalate and be dangerous.

A make it up as you go along ride at Guisborough forest/ highcliff and up on the Yorkshire moors.
Yesterday a jaunt round Dalby red with a few of the black bits. The climb up from the car park was a mad house but then I only saw one other Person on the route, quite surprising really.

I’ve been beaten to it with the guitar post above. I’ve got 4 strats, 3 SG’s, a Les Paul + a few others. Only one bike though, but am starting to think of getting another.

I rode straight into the back of a parked car while studying page 3 of a well known newspaper which I had on the handlebars. It would have been OK if it hadn’t been seen by dozens of people.
