I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed with the Capra goofy. I use mine for all kinds of riding, in the NE and the Lakes, and it does a good job of all of it.

Hard to compare myself as I ride mainly by myself. I’ll give my self 50% on the bike and 0% as a keyboard warrior as my few post on here are pretty inane.

You should be OK on that one SOAP. The last rock strewn descent might get you a mouthful of abuse, apart from that I reckon it’s pretty good riding.

For the 1st time in my life I saw a wild snake in the UK while riding at Hamsterley yesterday. A Viper I think, right in the middle of the single track, soaking up the sun until I tried to photograph it when it promptly zipped off into the grass.

The legolam route should do you, you can add on a few off piste bits if you can suss them out on strava or by asking someone when you’re there (beehives maybe) it’s easy to reride the transmission/accelerator /nitrous as well. Also the skills loop is worth a lap or 2.

It’s easily worth an hours drive.
